Chapter 7:Meet Gin
Ratchet continued to fall as the his appearance changed back to normal, his red iris being replaced with a green one and the black stripes turning into their normal brown hit the pavement below at full-force, knocking him unconscious. Xet landed next to him. He raised his foot to deal the final blow when he noticed that Ratchet's skin had changed.
"That's not possible" Xet said, putting his foot down. One of Ratchet's eyes slowly opened to see Xet grabbing his head and talking gibberish. Ratchet saw as Xet grabbed his normal arm, followed by a scream of pain. Xet quickly composed himself, returning to his original stance.
"one week" Xet said before he grabbed his chest and took a few steps back.
"one week to get that thing out of you" Xet said before dropping a small pack of nanotech near Ratchet. He then pressed a button on his metal arm. Suddenly, a spaceship flew down next to Xet, cockpit revealed.
"or else" Xet said, jumping into the spaceship. The cockpit was then quickly covered and the white ship flew out of sight. Ratchet once again fainted, the nonotech beginning to work healing his body, sirens being heard in the distance.
Meanwhile at the Apogee Space Station
The mechanical bee flew into the station looking for it's target. Since the the lombax's friend, the only one who contained the substance able to weaken the growing evil inside the Lombax was now locked up, the bee would now have to transport the substance to the second closest person to the Lombax, Talwyn Apogee. Flying into living quarters.
"How many times do I have to do not to touch -" a robot voice said before getting interrupted
"Well you shouldn't have put it there in the first place" another robot replied with a the same amount harshness
"Don't give that cr-"
"Cronk,Zephyr"!" a female voice yelled out which was immediately identified by the mechanical bee as Talwyn Apogee. The bee flew to the place of the argument where it immediately identified Talwyn.
"Can you keep it down" Talwyn said, her voice a little less bee flew quietly to her neck where it landed quietly and unnoticed. Before she was able to continue her lecture, she felt a sharp pain on her neck. The bee fell from her neck, still unnoticed.
"What the" Talwyn said before pulling out the stinger from her neck. Before she was able to bring the stinger to her face to closely examine it, she fainted, the stinger falling to the ground along with the motionless bee. Both Cronk and Zephyr ran to Talwyn's aid. Not noticing as both the stinger and the bee turned to ash.
...Flashback Start...
"How dare you test these kind of things on a child, my child never less " A brown and yellow Lombax yelled holding a Lombax infant of the same color in one hand and a Omniwrench 5000 in the other hand said to a blue and black Lombax
"It's now like its going to cause your child any kind of harm, Kaden, unless something awakens that part of Gilon of course,"
"I don't care, I thought I could trust you but it seems the world could do better without you" Kaden said setting the Lombax infant.
"Wait!" the black and blue Lombax holding both his hands defending
"To think that you were the cause of all those Praetorian Guards, all for your sick curiosity"
"Wait" was all the blue and black Lombax before Kaden brought down his wrench.
...Flashback End...
Ratchet woke up startled, his body now showing no signs of battle but he could still fell his bones aching. What was that dream about and who the hell was Gilon , thought to himself as he brought himself up. Only to find himself surrounded by various people. All of them had different forms but they all had armor similar to his. A male markazian looked behind his position in the cockpit to look at the Lombax
"My name is Gin and these are my fellow team members", The other two in the front seats with him in took no heed to the conversation going on. "they don't talk alot but they get the job done" Gin said
"Where am I" Ratchet said as he sat on one of the back seats
"On a S.O.C.T. Patrol ship" Gin responded. Ratchet memory of the events that has previously happened. He remembered losing control to that "thing" again, which the strange looking figure seemed to know about, who didn't even brother to tell him how how to get rid of it. How was he supposed to get rid of it in one week, Ratchet thought to himself.
"So what happened to you back there" Gin said, trying to bring life back to the dead conversation. Ratchet then looked out the window, ignoring Gin's question. " Its okay if you don't want to talk about" Gin said, returning his attention to the controls, turning on the radio.
"On other news, galactic hero Ratchet has been seen affiliating with a terrorist group known as the S.O.C.T. The group is known for constantly causing damage to Iva Industries, Tyro Galaxy's main weapon manufacturer. The group was seen carrying an unconscious Ratchet after beating several police officers and causing damage to the surrounding buildings.
"TAbout that" Gin said, scratching the back of his neck.
"Hostile signal detected" a female robotic shouted. Suddenly the screen in front of Gin zapped to Thugs-4-Less symbol appeared on the screen for a moment before switching to oversized and bulky (them future steroids though) thug.
"Surrender the lombax and nobody gets hurt" the bulky thug said,his arms crossed across hid chest
"Like hell we will" Gin said
"Don't say we didn't warn you".
"Get ready Ratchet, thing might get messy" He said, switching the ship to manual control. " We're about to take the fight to right to them"
