Rin fled his home for the safety of Haru's.
"Haruka!" he exclaimed when he reached his bathroom, "Gou, Gou is-" Haruka looked up from his bathtub. He stood up and sighed, Rin hurriedly passed Haruka a towel and waited for him to dry off, "I-I heard the stories from Makoto but I'd never thought it was true that you bathed with your swimsuit on." He stuttered falling off track from his current crisis, Haruka sighed.
"Rin, what's the problem?" he asked when the two were seated in his living room. Rin looked at his lap and fidgeted with his hands.
"It's Gou. She-I think she's been doing some… some sexual activities with someone." he murmured.
"And?" Haruka calmly asked. Rin's head shot straight up to face Haruka.
"And… and she's Gou, this is serious!" he gasped, "What if she's already done it?" he wondered out loud.
"Rin, you did it at that age too." Haruka reminded him.
"Mmm… I know, but it's Gou. She's… my little sister. I can't imagine-" Rin paused as the image of a naked Gou on her bed appeared in his mind. He could see she was scared, "I just can't." he said and cradled his head. Haruka rubbed his back silently.
"Maybe you should talk with her." he suggested.
"E-Ehh?!" he exclaimed and sat up straight, "I-I can't do that. Wh-what do we even talk-"
"Just tell her you're worried about her." he suggested.
"M-mm." Rin agreed, "Sounds good." he clenched his fist, "But there's more… I found a tie in my room… It's an Iwatobi tie." he swallowed, "Do you know anyone who hangs out with Gou?"
"Besides the swim club, no one. I don't see her much. You should ask her about that too."
"Okay, thanks Haru. You really helped me calm-" Haruka silenced him with a light kiss.
"Yeah. Now lets get to that." he said as he straddled the shark boy. Rin laughed against Haru's neck.
"Yeah." he agreed. The red-headed boy wrapped his arms around Haru and kissed him back.
"Ah, Gou. I'm home." the Matsuoka mother greeted later that night.
"Welcome home Mama." Gou replied while fixing dinner, "Have you seen Onii-san around town?" she asked.
"No, is he staying here tonight?" Gou nodded while sneaking a bite of green pepper, "Tsk, I told him to let me know when he stays over." she crossed her arms.
"He went out earlier, probably to hang out with Haruka." she added. The Matsuoka mother smiled.
"Then we can eat as a family tonight," she smiled, "and I can sleep in."
Gou smiled, "You don't get much sleep these days."
"They work me to death, but it's nice to come home to my kids." she pinched Gou's cheek, "Well since you're making supper, I'll set the table."
"Okay, but I'm not sure if Onii-san will make it home in time."
"I'm home." Rin's voice echoed across the home and the older boy stepped into the kitchen with a brooding expression.
"Oh, speak of the devil!" the Matsuoka mother chimed, "Why didn't you tell me you'd be staying the night?" she asked.
"Ah, sorry Mom. I was going to tell you but I forgot." he kissed her cheek, "Do you forgive me?" he asked, giving her those Rin puppy eyes that were only for her.
Gou sighed, 'I want Onii-chan to kiss my cheek!' she thought, 'Wait, no I don't! I have Makoto-senpai!' she shook her head, 'No more weird thoughts about Onii-chan!'
"Ehhh, I guess I can forgive you." the mother sang, "I'm gonna get changed first, help Gou finish supper." she told Rin before leaving to her room.
Rin awkwardly stood in the middle of the kitchen, unable to face Gou.
"Ah, Onii-san, can you wash your hands and finish cleaning the vegetables?" she asked.
"S-Sure." he said and ran a hand behind his neck. Gou watched him from the corner of her eye and noticed a red mark on his neck.
"Ah, Onii-san!" she exclaimed, and grabbed Rin's hands, when she realized what was doing she quickly let go, "Ah. Um y-your neck, does it hurt?" she asked and gripped her hands tightly.
"Hm?" he asked, "Ah… th-these? N-No way." Rin looked away, 'Shit, Gou, you aren't supposed to see these.' he thought to himself. He immediately covered the marks left by Haruka but Gou was quick to stop him.
"Onii-chan." she said with a fierce look, "If there's anything bothering you, you can tell me."
"G-Gou…" Rin gasped, "It's not like that, it's just." Rin held Gou's wrist lightly, "I don't want you to be hurt." he pleaded with her.
"Huh?" Gou asked, her palm was lightly cupping Rin's face, "Onii-chan." she murmured, "Please don't try to get out of helping with supper!" she exclaimed and pulled away from Rin as if slapped.
"Hah?" he exclaimed, "Gou I'm not- oof!" she shoved the bowl of lettuce into his stomach.
"Just wash the lettuce." she said with a stern look. Rin sighed and washed the lettuce.
The Matsuoka family had an awkward dinner filled with silence. Gou didn't mind but Rin did. He noticed she sat the farthest away from him and when she was done with her dinner she immediately went to bed.
"Has Gou been this quiet lately?" Rin asked his mother while poking at his food.
"Not really." she replied, "Did you do something to her?"
"I don't think that's it."
"Wait, so you did do something to her?"
"Huh, no! I-I mean I didn't do anything to her so it must be something else."
"Hmmm." the Matsuoka mother mused, "I wonder..." she stood up and put her plate away, "It could be a boy." Rin frowned.
"I think so too."
Gou was asleep when Rin passed her room late in the night. She left her door open so Rin took advantage and peeked in.
"What's with this?" he asked quietly and sat next to her on the bed, "Don't you want to sleep with Onii-chan?" he asked and smiled at his foolishness. He brushed her bangs out of her face and stroked her cheek, "Hey, don't... just don't grow up. Please?" he begged her. He wanted her to wake up and wrap her arms his neck. He wanted her to kiss his cheek and beg him to sleep with her, but he sat up and left.
Gou went through the whole day of school with confidence and a slight spring in her step. Her friend, Hana noticed and called her out.
"What are you so happy for, Gou?" she asked during lunch and rested her chin on Gou's desk. The burgundy haired girl giggled into her petite hands.
"I just have a feeling something good will happen today." she exclaimed and proceeded to daydream about Makoto.
"Now, really Gou," her friend replied, "Someone would think you're up to something!" she gave Gou a sly smile.
"Well of course I am." she laughed, "I think… Makoto-senpai and I are officially dating!" she exclaimed. Hana sat back.
"You mean the tall and handsome one?"
"Yes!" she blushed into her hands.
"Oh wow, he's perfect, Gou! Good job!"
"Well…" Gou thought for a second, "he's got a few chinks but, I don't mind. I understand that he's just that kind of person." she said. Hana frowned.
"Huh?"
"Oh nothing." Gou smiled. She couldn't wait to walk with Makoto-senpai after school.
And when Rin spotted the two of them holding hands at the gate that evening, he couldn't wait to kill him.
I'm sorry it's so short, this was just a really difficult chapter to write. I told a reader that this was the last chapter but I decided that it would end weirdly, so be sure to anticipate more chapters!
