Chibi Punishment
Chapter Four: Monday in Soul Society Part II; The Fourth
I do not own Bleach. Do I need to say this every chapter?
Ichimaru was shunpoing as fast as he could to the fourth division, all the while wrapping his own reitsu around the boy in his arms.
"Let...go..." growled the white-haired child in Gin's arms. Gin looked down and scowled at him, tightening his grip and speeding up as much as he could.
He burst through the fourth's gates and into the main hospital, knocking over some people along the way. Gin finally stopped when he came to Unohana's office. He then shifted his hold on Toshiro so he would be able to open the office door.
Toshiro though, had other plans. He could feel the seal starting to break, along with a burning sensation in his chest. Ignoring the burning feeling, Toshiro pushed on to break the seal and get free.
Toshiro quickly brought his knee up, banging it into Ichimaru's jaw. Due to shock, Ichimaru dropped Toshiro. Seeing his chance, Toshiro stood up and attempted to shunpo, ending up down the hallway. Gin, knowing what would happen if he got away, gave chase.
Their "game" went on for several peaceful minutes in the clear hallway before Toshiro took a right turn, leading into the main part of the hospital. The young male ran into the crowd of shinigami, Gin just turning the corner.
Gin saw Toshiro turn, so he followed. Only to see him disappear into a crowd. Gin paused to stare for a few seconds. "Shit." He stated as he dashed into the crowd.
"Excuse me. Pardon me. Excuse me." Toshiro said as he pushed his way through the crowd of medics. He soon burst out of the crowd, the shinigami coming towards the main hall leaping out-of-the-way to avoid getting run over.
Gin came out of the crowd just in time to see Toshiro take a left. 'The little bugger.' Gin thought as he followed. 'You know he doesn't like being in the fourth division.' Shinso stated.
As Toshiro turned a corner, he caught sight of silver and black out of the corner of his eye. He shunpoed again, ending up halfway down the hall. Two shinigami were coming down the hall, both supporting one end of a tray holding fresh towels.
Toshiro slid underneath and continued running. Although he didn't bump the tray or shinigami, the two dropped it out of surprise. More nurses came down the hallway carrying trays. Avoiding them all, he made it to another hallway.
Gin turned the corner, seeing shinigami picking up towels, and the white-haired boy avoiding nurses. Sadly though, the nurses dropped their trays in surprise. Once again, he gave chase.
Toshiro took a right and once again saw silver and black, only closer this time. He shunpoed another time, bumping Isane in the process. Gravity was not in her favor as she lost her balance and fell, bottles of medicine breaking on the floor.
As Gin passed Isane, he turned around and shouted, "Gomen!" as he continued to jog. He saw Toshiro turn another a corner again. 'This is gettin' irritating.' He said to himself.
'Why not give him false pretense.' Shinso suggested.
'How do I do that?' Gin asked.
'Pretend to stop following him. He can't concentrate at one thing at the moment, so he'll have to stop sometime if he really wants to break that seal.' Shinso said as they turned another corner.
'Let 'im think he outwitted me? He won' fall for that.'
'You got a better plan?' Shinso asked sarcastically. Gin sighed and halted his movement at the next corner. He listened as the footsteps decreased in volume until the hall was silent.
"Now what do I do?" Gin mumbled.
'Wait a few minutes and then trace his reitsu.' Shinso replies.
"He has very little now. He's gonna hide what he can." Gin said.
'You know his reitsu like the back of your hand. You also think like him at times. You can find him easily.' Shinso replied in a bored tone. Gin waited roughly five more minutes before tracing the boy's reitsu.
Toshiro started to pant as he continued running for a couple more minutes before it dawned on him; no one was around. He took a look around for brief minute for any signs of a living being by him. He found none.
The white-haired boy sighed as he leaned against the wall to catch his breath. He quickly shook his head and pushed himself off the wall.
'This is no time to relax. Just because I think I'm alone, doesn't mean I'm alone. I should find a place where I can work on the seal.' he told himself.
Toshiro walked down the hallway cautiously, trying to sense and make sure no one was around. 'I must be in the secluded part of the fourth. No one should be around.' He concluded.
He walked down the hall a little more just to make sure that no one was around, before slipping into a room. Toshiro turned around and went over to the bed in the room. He sat down cross-legged and went back to the seal.
Gin sighed from the corner as he saw Toshiro enter a room. 'I can't believe he didn't sense me.' Gin thought to himself as he retreated to behind the wall.
'His senses are dulled at the moment. He isn't as sharp as he was.' Shinso piped up.
"I wish it didn't have to be this way." Gin said out loud as he let his head fall back and hit the wall.
"You wish what didn't have to be this way?" Asked a familiar voice. Gin turned his head sharply to the right as he tensed up to see Shinji leaning against the wall opposite to him a little ways down.
"Ah. Taicho. Didn' see ya there." Gin smiled as he tried to relax.
"I'm not your taicho, Gin. I never was." Shinji replied. He then pushed his foot off the wall and walked over to Gin.
"What'cha mean? Taicho was always taicho." Gin said as he cocked his head to the side, smile still in place.
"Cut the crap, Gin. You and I both know I was never your taicho. You only though of Aizen as your taicho." Shinji said as he stood right in front of the silver-haired man.
"I've always thought of you as my taicho, even if I didn't show it." Gin replied.
"That's not the point here." Shinji started as he got right in Gin's face. "You're hiding something. I plan on findin' out what it is. Why were you really pardoned?"
"Can this wait, taicho? Shiro-chan—" Gin tried.
"Shiro-chan can wait. Why were you pardoned, Gin?" Shinji asked.
"I was pardoned 'cause I was playin' double spy." Gin said as he looked the man straight in the eye with a forced smile. 'He's onto me.' He thought. 'At least not the whole part.' Shinso offered.
"That's not what I meant. The REAL reason. Not some fake you and the Sou-taicho made up." Shinji said as he came even closer, if it was even possible, to the man's face.
"I—"
"Gin! Shinji! We brought Unohana!" Shouted a voice as it cut off Gin. Both men turned to see the buxom blonde with Isshin and Unohana.
"Ran-chan. Don't yell. You'll alert the kid." Shinji said as he backed off on Gin and went over to the woman.
'Ran-chan?' Gin thought as his eye suddenly twitched. 'Who gave him the right to call her Ran-chan? Only I can call her Ran-chan.'
"Where is Hitsugaya-kun?" Unohana asked as she stepped in front of the group.
"What's your plan?" Gin asked quickly.
"Just talk to him. Hitsugaya-kun wouldn't be doing this without a reason. All we have to do, is figure out his reason and fix it. Did anything happen before he tried breaking the seal?" Unohana asked.
"You mean like a therapist? I got nothin' to do with the kid, so I'll be on my way." Shinji said before shooting one last glance at Gin and leaving. The four watched him go, then Unohana turned towards Gin.
"Hitsugaya-kun is a reasonable and sensible young man. I am sure I can talk some sense into him." Unohana said as she began to walk away from the small group to the door where Toshiro was.
"Wait. I want to come with." Gin stated as he made to follow. A firm hand on his fore arm halted him though. He turned his head to see who had stopped him. It was Rangiku.
"You aren't going anywhere Gin. Not only did you let taicho out of your sight, you may just be the cause of all this. You're going to wait with Shiba taicho while I go in with Unohana-taicho. Is that clear?" Matsumoto asked with a gleam in her eye.
Gin let out a sigh and nodded his head. She released him and he shuffled over to Isshin. With that, Matsumoto left, leaving Gin and Isshin in the hallway. Isshin looked at Gin for a moment before sighing, "Come on, Gin. We need to have a chat while you help me with some paperwork." For once he was showing his serious side. Gin peaked at him through the sides of his hair and nodded, following behind Isshin.
There you have it! Shorter than I want it to be, but thought I should split this next part up. Oh, how I wanted to do one chapter for one day, but alas, my mind has to many things for one chapter of one day. Thank you for staying with me and my horrible updating habits.
