It had been five days since the incident with the DVD. Since then they hadn't heard anything else. Chuck's PI had ensured them that Jasper hadn't left the UK at all. He was going through all his video and picture material to find a clue. Obviously he was working with someone in New York. Nate had been on the edge since, and Jenny tried her best to make him calm down. She was now on the way into his office to surprise him with lunch. Tearing his thoughts away from work and everything that was bothering him, he needed to relax. She walked by Shannon's desk and marched straight into his private office.

"Hey darling, surprise. Whatever you're doing, that has to wait as you're…", she started to speak up but stopped mid-sentenced when she saw the young brunette sitting in his office, no sign from Nate at all. "What the hell are you doing in here?", Jenny spat out angrily.

Sage had turned around and was facing her now, a sheepishly smirk on her face. "Isn't that obvious?", she asked innocently, "I work here."

Jenny was totally taken aback, but refused to show that little bitch that she didn't know about that fact until now. Her face remained calm and angry. "I know about that. How about you tell me something I don't know, like what the hell are you doing in my fiance's office while he is not even in here?", she snapped at the young girl.

Sage's eyes flickered with uncertainty. She knows? He told her that I work here? But it only took her a short moment to regain her composure. "Wow, didn't think he would tell you. I mean, after all we had quite the hot time together", she sneered, looking directly at Jenny to see her reaction.

As much as Jenny wanted to hit that bitch, she managed to remain calm. She's just a tiny little slut. Always remember that, she means nothing to Nate. He told you more than once…but why didn't he tell me then that she works here for him? Jenny pushed that voice aside and gazed at the cocky brunette in front of her, who was smiling smugly at her. Jenny just laughed over her comment and stepped a bit closer.

"Why wouldn't he tell me? He is my fiance, and we live together. Which means, I'm the one he wakes up with each morning and I'm the one he crawls under the blanket with each evening. So of course we talk about what's going on in our businesses, after all we do share our lives with each other", Jenny responded dryly, seeing the anger rage in the eyes of the young women in front of her with each word she said.

"Now isn't that cute", Sage only managed to spat out with disgust. Just the thought of Nate being with that bitch sickened her.

Jenny smiled widely, seeing that she clearly had the upper hand here. "Oh, it truly is, Sage. I can only recommend to live with the person you love. I don't want to miss all those times that Nate surprised me with romantic dinners at our place, not to think of the amazing hours after that. But who am I telling it too, pretty sure you do remember how good he is, right?", Jenny said sweetly, still gazing straight at her.

Sage rage boiled with each word Jenny said. Her eyes send daggers towards the young blonde she used to admire in school. Sage snorted and got up from the chair. "I do, but it's quite pathetic from you to believe in that he loves you truly", she spat through gritted teeth.

Jenny looked at her amused and grinned even wider. Oh this is just hilarious. She still thinks she has a chance with him. Not thinking any further, Jenny pushed it a little more. Enjoying way too much to put this little bitch into her place. "You think? I don't know. Don't you think it's even more pathetic to apply to the magazine of your ex in hope to win him back? When knowing all too well that he is in love with someone else and despising you", she replied nonchalantly to Sage's attempt to anger her.

Sage's eyes narrowed in an instant, she was barely able to keep her anger under control. This fucking bitch really has the guts to tell me that Nate despise me. Who the hell does she think she is? Guess I have to teach her another lesson, obviously the DVD didn't do much.

"I know it must be hard for you, Jenny. Seeing the fact that I work so close with Nate and there is still this fire between us", she tried to reply as calm as possible, her voice dripping with friendliness.

Jenny gazed at her in astonishment, considering if she meant her words. As seeing the seriousness in the girl's eyes, she meant her words. She is so delusional. She ended up bursting out in laughter. After her laughter eased down, she gazed at the brunette again. She looked quite pissed now, her eyes were only slits, filled with fire.

"You could be a great comedian, you know that?", Jenny remarked with tiny giggles. "Fire between you two, that was good… Honey, did you ever realize that Nate's relationships never really lasted long? Except for ours, of course. It's pretty simple why, ever since he met me, he always compared his girls to me. Unknowingly, of course. But face it, he always wanted me at his side. Vanessa, was a Brooklyn girl like me. Serena, kind of looked like me. So did this Lola girl, and that Juliet girl. And you… well, you've been the Queen B of Constance too. Young, rebellious, at the time you met. It flattered him that a seventeen year old wanted him. Somehow he could be with me, but not really though. But nothing more, sweets. Face it, he was never really in love with you, and he never will be. Even in the time you've been together, in truth, he was always with me", Jenny stated matter of fact, knowing all too well that her words were true.

She had once talked to Nate about their previous relationships before each other, and both had realized that somehow they always tried to find someone that was somehow similar to them.

Sage had listened to her in silence. The blood was rushing through her ears now. How dare she to say that Nate never loved me and that he always wanted her. He only ever loved me. "You've got to be kidding me. Are you so full of yourself that you seriously think that you're the only one for him? You'd better stop fooling yourself, Jenny", Sage spat out in anger.

Jenny still only looked at her bemused. She was massively annoyed by her, but she wouldn't show. And mostly, she wouldn't falter. "Oh, little Sage. What shall I do with you?", she responded in a genuine tone, quite mother like. "I'm not fooling myself in any way. I was there when Nate laid his heart out to me and asked me to marry him. There is a reason why I'm wearing the Archibald ring", she wiggled with her left hand in front of her, showing the big blue antic ring on her ring finger.

"He wants to spend his life with me. And he proofs it every single night, when he takes me in all possible ways. Driving both of us crazy and over the edge in all it's possible passion. To see his eyes clouding and get dark, gaze straight into them when he can't hold on anymore, hear him moan or scream my name… I know for sure that he loves me and no one else. Cause matter of fact is, he made it pretty clear that no one ever got him off the way I do", Jenny said bluntly and smirked smugly at the girl in front of her. Making it quite clear that Nate was her man, and her man alone.

Sage rage boiled over, she wouldn't stand there any longer listening to the crap this blonde bitch was saying. With one move she stepped forward and grabbed Jenny by her shoulders, catching her off guard. She catapulted her around and tossed her towards the table. Jenny was so shocked and taken aback by her action, that she didn't stand a chance to avoid Sage's attack. She lost her balance and flew towards Nate's desk, hitting the edge of it with her stomach. She screamed out in pain.

"WHAT THE FUCK? ARE YOU INSANE?", she yelled out in pure anger, holding her hand over her stomach, praying the collision didn't harm the baby.

Before Sage could attack her a second time, Shannon busted into the room. "What's going on here?", she asked right out, gazing between the two young women.

"This little bitch attacked me and pushed me into Nate's desk", Jenny cried out, disgusted by her action. If anything happens to our baby, I'll personally kill her.

"WHAT?", Shannon screamed out, turning her attention towards Sage. "What are you even doing in here? Nate made it clear that he doesn't want you to come in here unless it's necessary."

Sage glared at Shannon. Of course she had to bring that up, and of course she would take that blonde's position. "I brought in papers for the article Rick is working on. As Nate needs to watch them over, I sat down to wait for him. That's when this psycho came in, and attacked me verbally", Sage defended her presence.

Jenny gasped. "Excuse me, did you just called me a psycho? Who attacked here who? You literally said into my face that my fiance wouldn't love me, so I just cleared some facts as you are obviously too dumb to understand that your relationship with Nate is long gone and over. If you can't stand to hear the truth it's your problem, but no reason to attack me physically", Jenny exclaimed furious, still holding her hand over her stomach. The pain had vanished, everything felt normal.

Before Sage could react to Jenny's outburst, Nate marched in, looking very pissed off. "What are you doing in here? And why the hell are you screaming? And please someone tell me that I just didn't hear right, and no one in this room attacked my fiance", he demanded through tight teeth, gazing grimly at Sage and Shannon while making his way over to stand next to Jenny. He eyed her curiously, trying to figure out if she got hurt.

"It was an accident, Nate. I didn't mean to…", Sage started, but immediately stopped explaining when his head shot round and his narrowed, furious eyes daggered her.

"An accident?", he asked silently, unbelieving. His voice deep and threatening. "How in the world can it be an accident when you attack her? What are you even doing in here? I thought I made myself clear, more than once, that I don't want you in here!"

Sage swallowed hard. She had never seen him so angry. Her rash action had gotten her into this very unpleasant situation. She would make Jenny pay for it. "Nate, I really didn't mean to. I was sitting here, waiting for you to go over Rick's latest facts. And then she came in and started to insult me. I got angry and it just happened", she defended herself once more.

Nate gazed at both women in his office and back at Jenny. "Get out, both of you!", he responded still grimly.

"What?", Sage asked confused.

Nate turned to her again, and his gaze turned so furious that if looks could kill she would have been dead in an instant. "I said get out! NOW!"

Shannon could sense that it was smarter to leave right away, and immediately excited his office. Knowing that his current mood had nothing to do with her, but with the fact what Sage had done. Sage followed her shortly after, gazing one last time at Nate before she shut the door behind her.

Nate turned to Jenny, gazing her straight in the eyes. "What the hell happened in here? Are you alright?", he asked concerned and still angry.

Jenny sighed and sat down on the nearby chair. "Sage happened. When did you plan on telling me that she is working for you?", she replied, her voice hurt and broken by the lack of trust.

Nate sighed also and came to sit across from her. He took her hands and interlaced their fingers. "I wanted to, the night when you got that DVD. Since then, I don't know…", he trailed off. "With everything going on, I just didn't want to upset you."

Jenny gazed at him astonished. "Oh, and you think finding it out by myself wouldn't shock me that much?", she replied sarcastic.

"Jen, come on, you know that I wouldn't hide it from you. And of course I didn't want you to find out this way. You're pregnant, and I was concerned that her presence would upset you too much. I know how much you despise her. What did she do to you?"

Jenny could see the concern and care in his eyes, he was honest about it. "She pushed me, and I hit your desk", she answered silently.

Nate's eyes widened in shock. He instantly stood up and dragged her along with him. "Grab your purse, we're leaving", he stated without any hint that he would accept a No as answer.

"And where are we going?", she asked confused, following him towards the door.

He turned in surprise, facing her. "You're kidding, right?"

"Uhm, no. I don't see a reason why we should leave", she responded to his question.

Nate gazed her over. She was looking just as stunning as always, and she seemed to be alright. Nevertheless he was worried to his innermost core. "You hit my desk, and you're pregnant, Jenny. We're going to the hospital to check on both of you", he clarified, and once more his tone was stern and left no room for discussion.

She sighed. "Darling, I'm fine. There is no pain or anything", she assured him, caressing his cheek with her hand to proof him even more.

Nate looked adamant at her. "It doesn't matter. Unless a doctor looked at you and assures me, I won't believe it. What if problems show up at a later time? Jenny, you're not a doctor, neither am I. It's our unborn baby. We need to get it checked", he said while heading to the door again.

He is right, just because I don't feel anything, doesn't mean everything is just fine. "You're right. I'm sorry, let's go."

They stepped out of his office and walked forward to the exit. When passing Shannon's desk Nate shortly stopped. "I'm leaving for a bit, please take all my calls. I'll get back to them later. And sorry for being so rude earlier, it's just…", he started to explain, but was waved off by her.

"It's ok, Nate. I understand. I would have reacted the same way, if I were you. Sorry that I didn't realize earlier what was going on inside there, but I was at the phone. You want me to fire Sage?", she asked concerned, thinking about that it was her fault that the brunette was there at all.

Nate gazed at Jenny and back to his employee. "No, I'll deal with her later myself. There is something I have to clarify with her, before I fire her. But thanks for offering."

They got to his town car, and Nate told the driver where to. They sat in silence for a while. "I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you", Nate broke the silence. "I should have told you the second I found out, I just didn't know how."

Jenny placed her hand upon his on his leg, caressing it softly. She smiled genuinely at him. "It's fine. I mean, I'm not happy about it, but I understand that you just wanted to protect me. I get where you came from, so don't worry, I'm not mad. After all I'm the one that should apologize", she assured him.

His gaze shot over to her, trying to decipher what she meant. "Why? You weren't the one that hid this information from me."

"No, but I was the one that provoked her to push me. We wouldn't sit here, if I just had stayed silent or just walk out of the room to find you", she admitted to him. Nate smiled at her sadly.

"It's sweet that you think that way, but it's not your fault at all. She shouldn't have been there in the first place. I told her more than once to stay out of my office unless I tell her to come in. You had every right to stand your ground, your my fiance – you're the only woman who has every right to be at my office at any given time", he replied determined.

The ride continued with Jenny snuggled into Nate's side, and him stroking with his right hand her right arm up and down. Once in a while he kissed her head, just to reassure that he was with her – no matter what.

They arrived after a fifteen minutes ride at the hospital, and after a short conversation with the nurse in charge, they were led to a private room where they would meet the doctor. Jenny told him all previous events and that she wasn't feeling any pain. The doctor did the usual inspections when being pregnant. After the ultrasound he shortly left the couple alone to get the test results of the blood test, which was taken prior their talk.

Nate sat on the stool, right next to the stretcher Jenny was lying on. He held her hand and moved his free hand to her cheek. "How are you feeling? Honestly", he asked, gazing into her azure blue eyes.

Jenny smiled at him reassuringly. "As I said to the doc, I'm doing fine. I really have no pangs. Nothing hurts anymore. It only did in the moment I hit your desk and short after", she responded, placing her hand over his on her cheek and leaning into his touch.

A small smile formed on his lips, but his eyes were still filled with concern and worry. "I'm really ok, Nate." He sighed shortly.

"I hope the doctor says the same when he is back. I couldn't stand if…", his voice broke up before he could finish the sentence. Jenny leaned forward and kissed him softly. Her lips grazing his.

"Everything will be alright and you'll be an amazing father", she said against his lips, smiling.

Before he could reply the doctor came back in. "So, Miss Humphrey, I have the results", he said, walking over to them. "As far as we can say, everything looks good. No need to worry."

Nate and Jenny breathed out in relief, neither had realized that they had stopped to breathe at all. Nate grabbed Jenny's head and pulled her in for a short but strong kiss.

"Nevertheless…", Dr. Meyers started, "…I need you to rest. Look Jenny, the blood test looks just fine, so does the ultra sound. The heartbeat of the baby is strong, his evolution looks just fine. But…"

"His?", Dr. Meyer's explanation was cut off by Nate's question. "We're getting a boy?" Nate gazed curious at the doctor.

"Oh, I'm sorry", he replied ashamed, "I thought you knew. I didn't mean to take the surprise."

"No, no, it's fine. Don't worry, it's all good", Nate assured the elder man, turning to Jenny then, "we're getting a boy, darling."

Jenny smiled brightly, tears started to glisten in her eyes. To see Nate so joyful nearly made her burst out crying as hell. "You're feeling was obviously right", she stated and kissed him once more, passionate and demanding.

The doctor cleared his throat. "Uhm, well… as I was saying before – everything looks good. But this incident could have caused damage that we can't see right now. Sometimes it takes a few hours, or even days, before signs can be seen. Therefore I need you to be careful. Please rest for the next days. Only necessary walks, like to the bathroom or kitchen. No long working hours or shopping trips. I want to see you in two days again, so we can make another checkup, just to be sure that really everything is alright."

Jenny nodded to his explanation. Nate still held her close. "Don't worry, she won't move at all. I'll make sure of it", he responded to Dr. Meyers, and gazed at Jenny afterward. She chuckled slightly.

"There is no reason that she doesn't move at all, Nathaniel. But she shall take it slow during the next days. Bed rest, only moving within the house or short walks outside with company. No stress, no work, no agitation. That should do", the doctor clarified once more.

Both nodded and agreed to the terms. "Well then, I see you both in two days. Take care of you, Jenny. Nathaniel", with that Dr. Meyers said his goodbyes and left them alone.

"Let's get you home and to bed", Nate said, still relieved that everything was fine with their baby-boy and her. He held out his hand for her to take, and helped her back on her feet. His arm immediately running around her waist to steady her. She smiled gratefully and let him lead her the way back to their waiting town car.

Blair was lying on Henry's bed, reading him a bedtime story and glancing now and then over to her son if he had fallen asleep already. When she realized that he was deep asleep, she placed the fairytale book on the bedside table and moved carefully up. Placing a soft kiss on his forehead before she dimmed the light and walked out of his room. She went downstairs to search for Chuck, finding him in his armchair in the living room, reading the Financial Times.

"He is asleep", she announced and walked over to greet her husband properly with a kiss. She had only seen him shortly when he had come in, but with Henry on her arm whining they didn't greet themselves like they usually did. After a long searing kiss, she pulled away.

Chuck frowned, causing Blair to smirk. "Later, if you behave", she teased.

"When didn't I?", he asked incredulous, but smiled immediately. "Nate just called. He canceled the lunch tomorrow. Wants me to say how sorry they are, and that we'll do it another time."

Blair gazed questionably over to him, surprised over the recent information as Jenny had initialized the lunch. "Weird, how come? Did he say why they had to cancel?", she interrogated into the matter.

Chuck shrugged. "Jenny needs some rest. Nate didn't clarify. Guess standing on her own feed now with the line gets to her. It's not easy to run your own company", he supplied his thoughts.

Blair had sat down on the couch, herself wrapped up in her favorite blanket. "Tell me about it. My first days at Waldorf Designs were pure hell", she crinkled her nose by the unpleasant memory.

Chuck chuckled and got up to join her on the couch. He wrapped his arm around her and pulled her into his side, holding her tight against him. "But you managed just fine afterward. We all stumble sometimes in life. The challenge is to get back on our feet again, and you did it perfectly", he told her, and kissed her head. Chuck had always admired Blair's passion and drive over all these years. If she wanted something, she wouldn't stand still until she got it. In this case they were quite alike.

Blair leaned in to him, enjoying the proximity. "You heard anything from James?"

Chuck sighed, he hated this topic by now. He had been in constant contact with his PI since Nate's night call. All they knew so far was that Jasper hadn't left the UK, and that he was seeing a huge amount of women. Which was in Chuck's eyes quite strange, considering his job.

"Nothing that we could work with. He is looking through all his material once more. Just in case that he might have missed something", Chuck informed her.

Blair remained silent and thought about his words. Indeed she had thought about the situation ever since Nate had called. It was too weird that Jasper hadn't left the UK, but someone dropped of the DVD. Either he was working with someone else, or he had given the video to someone.

"You know, isn't it weird that all this happens at the same time?", she mused.

Chuck gazed down at her, not catching what exactly she meant. "Huh?"

Blair leaned up and turned around to face him, sitting now right in front of him. "What I mean is, all the sudden this DVD with pictures of that video pops up and at the same time that little brat shows up at the Spectator. That can't be a coincidence, or? I just think that it's weird that both of their exes enter their lives again pretty much at the same time", Blair explained her latest thoughts to Chuck.

She had been thinking about it ever since Chuck had told her about Sage working for Nate now. To say that she had been furious was a huge understatement. Chuck literally had to hold her back of making her way over to the Spectator to kill that scum. Blair had ranted over thirty minutes about her showing up in Nate's life again, and that Nate hadn't told Jenny yet.

Chuck thought about her words, and once more he found that his wife was one hell of a woman. "I never thought about that, but why not…", he said, still thinking about the possibility that Nate's and Jenny's exes were working together.

"I'll let James check his pictures if one of the girls Jasper had been out with looks familiar to Sage. Maybe they did meet, or maybe Sage even searched for him. After all, it had been in the press that Jenny left him at their wedding day and got together with Nate pretty much straight after. She clearly must have seen those articles about them. If she is still after Nate, which seems to be the case, it would make sense to get info's first hand of Jenny's ex. Why haven't I thought about that? Sage is in town, she works for Nate – so she knows that he moved to his old parent's house. She could have gone by there to drop the DVD at any given time", Chuck realized that it was way more than clear that the two exes were playing this game together.

"Well, at least you have a very smart woman who helps you to glue the pieces together. But what do we do if it's really the both of them? We can't let them get away with this", Blair looked straight at him.

Chuck leaned forward and kissed the tip of her nose. "Trust me, if it's them, they won't. We first need confirmation, then we can think about what we do. But trust me, they will wish for that they never crossed their ways."

Jenny was lying in bed, deep asleep. She couldn't place what she was dreaming about, but a sudden movement caused her to wake up. The room was dark, Nate wasn't at her side. She was lying alone in their huge bed. Then again a movement caught her attention. Someone was walking around in their bedroom. Her eyes had adjusted to the dark, nevertheless she couldn't see who it was.

For some reason Jenny knew it wasn't Nate, she felt way to unease. She looked in the direction where she thought the intruder must be. A small form was silhouetted against the dark. The size didn't fit Nate, it looked more like a feminine figure. Jenny placed a hand on her huge, pregnant belly and leaned carefully over to the side to turn on the light. It took her a while to adjust again, but then she caught the person who had woken her up – Sage!

"What the hell are you doing in my bedroom? How did you even get into the house?", Jenny immediately exclaimed, shocked over the presence of the young brunette.

Sage only smirked at her, evilly. She stayed in her place, gazing straight at Jenny. The unease feeling increased massively. Where is Nate?

"I'm not going to repeat myself, what are you doing here? I'll call the cops if you…", Jenny said calm but threatening, only to be cut off by Sage's cold voice.

"You won't, you can't – lines are dead", she hissed, "and to your question, he let me in."

Sage pointed towards the door where Nate stood. Jenny's eyes grew wide, astonishment plastered all over her face.

"What? Why?", she stuttered out.

Sage moved slightly closer, and a huge evil grin covered her face. "Simple Jenny, it's time we get our baby. It was sweet of you to let it grow, so I don't ruin my figure, but now… now I want my son", she said dead cold and calm, standing now right at the bedside next to Jenny.

"You're crazy, totally insane. This is my son, not yours. Nate, do something!", Jenny screamed out and gazed over to her fiance, who still stood silently in the door, watching their exchange.

"He won't do anything, dear. Except for coming home with me, after we got our son", Sage sneered. "Now shall we? This might hurt a little", she said and bend over to get access to Jenny's belly. Sage was now holding a sharp knife in her hand, and before Jenny even could say a word or try to get away, she made a deep cut into Jenny's belly. Jenny screamed out in pure pain…

… she was entirely wet. Her shirt was sticking to her body, so was her hair. Jenny sat up in her bed, her eyes darting around the room. It was dark, and silent. The only sound to be heard was coming from Nate, snoring silently right next to her. She breathed through, relieved that it had only been a very creepy and scary nightmare. She took her shirt off and threw it on the ground, not caring to grab a new one.

She was about to lay down again when a sharp and quick pain shot threw her abdomen. Obviously the pain wasn't just a dream. She immediately looked down and searched for a cut or stab, but couldn't find anything. Her stomach had grown a little, it only started slightly to show. She wasn't hurt, not as far as she could see.

But something caught her attention then. They had plain white sheets on, but something between her legs was dark. Jenny moved her hand slowly towards the dark spot and touched it barely. It was warm and liquid. Some of the liquid remained at her fingers and as she looked closer, she immediately froze. No, no, no! This can't be happening!

She turned towards Nate and shook him on the shoulder. "Nate, wake up!", she said loud. He mumbled something and turned to the side, continuing his sleep.

"Nate!", she nearly screamed, but instead of continuing her attempt to wake him up, another sharp pain shot threw her. She screamed out and this time it was loud enough to alarm Nate. His head shot up and turned to Jenny.

"Jenny, are you alright? What's wrong?", his voice was filled with concern and worry.

"I don't kn-ow, my abdo-men hurts like hell and I think… I think, I'm blee-ding", she explained through her pressed teeth, trying to recover from the last aching of her body.

Nate turned instantly the lights on and gazed her over. Jenny had been right. Between her legs a huge red puddle of blood had formed. Her eyes grew wide when seeing it confirmed, and Nate paled. He grabbed his phone and dialed 911, gazing at Jenny.

"It will all be alright, don't worry darling", he tried to sooth her, "yeah, hello? This is Nathaniel Archibald. I urgently need an ambulance car to my residence. My pregnant fiance has stings in her abdomen and she is bleeding. Please, we need help." He listened to the reply of the operator and ended the call. "They'll be here in ten minutes. Everything is going to be alright."

Oh, oh, massive cliffhanger – please don't kill me ;) So what's your guess what's going to happen? The next chapter will take a while, sorry in advance. Will be a few days off again, celebrating my bday with my family – no time for writing then.

But let me say so much, the next chapter will be intense...

Hope you enjoyed this one and I'll try to be back asap!
