A/N: I'm not dead! :D Sorry that I haven't been uploading recently, I've been busy with school and other hobbies, I'm back though. This chapter is only 1,800 words or so because I wanted to pump one out and It ends off on a good place to start the next chapter. So yea, see you at the bottom!

DSD Ch. 5

Natsu's POV

"Whaa!" I scream and I launch forward, I wasn't laying on the couch like when I fainted, I was lying in a case. I turn my head to see Erza and the rest of the guild.

"Um... Where am I?" I ask, everyone stays silent. After around a minute or so Erza launches towards me. I scream, she gets on my stomach and slaps me across the face. I stay silent as Erza yells,

"What the hell! Why would you do that?!" What I do next I hated myself for, I pushed Erza off of me, stood up, and yelled Earth Dragon's Cave! Then I dug A giant hole, covered up the entrance and ran towards my house.

I sit on my roof, with my hands intertwined on the back of my head. Thinking about what happened while I was in my half-dead coma. I hear something behind me and I instantly spin, Erza was sitting there, crying. I stay silent until i hear her say,

"I'm so glad you're alive." My eyes snap open, and I retort.

"Sure didn't seem like it when I awoke!" Erza eyes start to tear up and she starts to cry. My eyes drop at this and I scoot forward. However that only resulted in Erza scooting away and saying,

"Please don't. I don't like the thought of hurting you." My eyes widen and I scoot forward again. Erza puts her hand out and places it on my chest,

"Stop" she states. I don't listen, I grab her arm, and pull her into an embrace. Erza starts to struggle until I speak,

"Please Erza, I still love you. Nothing. Will change that." I see Erza sob as she slides into my arms and relaxes.

"I...I was just scared that I was gonna lose you. Natsu, you're the one that I love, that I want to marry, that I want to experience everything with." Erza tells me, I smile. Then I decide to say,

"I was in a hibernation. Not dead, however while I was asleep I was taken to the other dimension... Igneel taught me about some things... And he gave me this." I showed her a necklace with a Tiny pure white dagger on it. I continue to explain,

"The dagger, is a symbol of darkness, the chain is Fairy Tail in a way, Erza, all guild masters know something about Fairy Tail, but I know too. I'm a sneaky little guy! But I wanna tell you the secret. However, I need you to keep a secret too." Erza ponders over the subject for a little while before sighing, then she nods.

"Good, the thing is, somewhere near Fairy Tail, there is an object or source of power that can defeat Zeref in his deadly form." I explain in a bored tone, however Erza flips.

"What! Na-" She yells, but I cut her off,

"Quiet... I heard something" I move out of the embrace that we were in and I turn around, then sniff the air. A moment later a fox comes out of a bush on the ground. It was gold instead of an orange-ish color though, which was weird. I didn't care though, I jumped off the roof and slowly shuffled towards the golden fox. However when I got within five feet of it, the fox turned and bolted away before I could get any closer.

"Dammit!" I yell to myself as the fox runs away.

"Anyways, you get the gist of it." I say to Erza, she just shakes her head and hops down from the roof, then walks inside without another word. I see a tear-drop hit the ground. I frown, and start to think about whether or not I should go in after her. However I decided against it.

'I can see you need space. I'm gonna go on a walk for a while, don't follow. You're not in trouble. I just need space'. I make my way to a tree deep in the forest. When I find one that's big enough, I shoot up into the tree onto one of the branches and lay down. I start to relax and I close my eyes.

FLASHBACK

I jolt up from the rock beneath me as I frantically look around. I set my sights on Igneel after a period of time. I blink a few times before shouting,

"Dammit Igneel! Can't there be a more peaceful way to do that!" Once I finished that sentence I got a slap in the back of the head because of Igneel's tail. I rub it and start to talk to Igneel, after a long while I get back on topic.

"Anyways, why'd you call me here?" I ask. Igneel Snorts before responding.

"Quite simple, just updates and a present. First an update on the one's who are trying to destroy Fairy Tail, Jellal dropped out. He's good now., so are the god's. As for the rest of them haters, they were found tied up at the border of this realm. With the crap beat out of them. We don't know who did it but they did it. And for your gift. Here." He said, ten he handed me a small black box. I look at him with a questioning face before redirecting my attention to the box and opening it. When I did, I found A white dagger necklace.

"The white dagger represents Fairy Tail. The black chain represents the darkness. The chain can't escape from the white dagger unless it's broken off. Don't let that happen. Let this Necklace remind you to never give up, that you can always, fight back." Igneel speaks wisely. I nod my head and just like that, I am sent back to the normal world.

NATSU'S POV

I open my eyes to see the sunset peeking through the branches and leaves. I sigh as I hop down from the tree and start to head back to my house. When I arrive the moon was already in the sky, and I assumed everyone was asleep. However when I entered through the front door. Erza was sitting on the couch watching the TV lacrima crystal. I crouched down in front of her and was about to say hi, when I noticed her eyes were closed. I grinned as I turned of the TV lacrima an picked up Erza. I then walked into my room and set her down on my bed. Then I lay on the floor next to her with one of our hands intertwined.

When I woke up I gently opened my eyes to see Erza staring at me from atop my bed. She shook her head and launched me onto the bed next to her while saying,

"Jeez Natsu, in the end I'm still your girlfriend." I smile at that. I speak.

"I know, but you deserve more than I was giving you." I respond with. Erza just smiles and shakes her head with her eyes closed.

"Stupid" She then says, her eyes still closed. I chuckle and say,

"You mad?" Erza then opens her eyes and grins at me.

"Nah, not quite, anyways, come on, we should go to the guild." She says, I nod and put my one armed jacket on. Then I wait for Erza. When she is ready, I walk out with her and we start to make our way towards the guild. It was a peaceful day, the first touches of Autumn were effecting the leaves on the tree as some of them were starting to fall to the ground. As we reached the edges of the town and walked in, some of the townsfolk started to look at us. I had no idea why, so I just ignored it until we got to the guild. When we finally arrived at the Fairy Tail guild hall I took a breath and slammed the door open. When we walked in it was silent. Then I hear,

"Oi, the fuck was that Flamebrain?" I turn to none other than Gray, who's cockily folding his arms over his chest, smirking at me like he's some kinda badass. I quickly swept his legs out from under him just to stop him from looking at me.

"Jeez, ok! Listen up! I have some news!" I shout at the guild, after that I explain about what happened when I was in my half dead state of A coma.

After I'm done explaining, there are a lot of sighs of relief in the guild, I could tell because I knew no one would want to fight all the people that Inscribed their names on my back. I look up at the ceiling of the guild while sitting in a chair. I was bored out of my mind, there was nothing to do. I mean sure there was the pool tables but I was pretty much banned from trying to play pool ever since I destroyed used the pool cue as a baseball bat and the pool balls stacked in a tower and me slamming the cue into the balls. I sit there thinking of what to do, but I came up with nothing after a while, and I just relaxed. I kicked my feet up on the table and closed my eyes. Then I started thinking about what could have happened to the ones that were going to attempt to kill us. However I never got to finish my thoughts because Happy sailed into my gut. I open one eye and see Gray looking at me.

"Lets go on a mission hothead!" He hollered. I close my eye and respond,

"Nah" I say simply. I hear footsteps and Erza's voice,

"Natsu, mission?" The voice asked questioningly. I shoot out of my chair fully conscious and fistpump. Gray deadpanned and Erza just shakes her head. I grin as I walk over to the request board and I hear behind me.

"Natsu, those are easy, go get an S class mission." When Erza finished her sentence I spun around and my eyes turned into golden stars, then I was up the stairs in an instant.

I looked at the level S request board and looked at the mission types.

"Hmmm, capture mission, a 'help the moon is pur-' nope! not doing that one again! Aaand a take-down mission." I say to myself, I grab the take-down mission after deciding and I walk over to Mira downstairs.

"Mira, I'm taking this one." I tell her, she nods her head and writes down the info on the quest clipboard. I smile and walk away, over to the group that is going on the mission with me.

"Guys, take-down mission" I say to everyone as I hold up the flier. Erza takes it out of my hand and studies is. She looks at Me, Gray, and Lucy and nods.

"Lets go, I'll explain on the train." Erza told us, we all nodded and followed Erza out the door and towards the train station.

A/N: Welcome to my humble home! Yea, I decided to scrap the whole 'everyone's gonna attempt to kill you' plot, because I thought of a better one in my opinion. It will be revealed within the next few chapters. Anyways, see you guys later!
