It was time for school. It was Friday and the weekend would come. Finally, Caroline thought as she shut her locker, holding in her hands her chemistry book. She sighed deeply, but told herself that she could endure the last two hours chemistry until the weekend would start. She turned around and scoffed while she headed to her classroom, thinking that her weekend wouldn't be pleasurable because she would have an appointment with Klaus to drink his blood again.

This can go only wrong, she told herself and was so caught up in her thoughts that she didn't notice someone walking behind her.

All at once the person stepped in front of her, calling out, "Boo!"

Caroline jumped slightly at the sudden voice, but smiled as she recognized the person. It was Bonnie Bennet, her witchy best friend.

"Hey, to you too, but you didn't have to startle me," the blond explained.

Bonnie chuckled and replied, "But it was fun. Besides on what were you thinking or rather on whom?" She winked at her and received a roll of blue eyes.

"Seriously, Bon? I was just thinking that I have chemistry which I don't like at all," she lied and felt a little bad lying to her best friend.

Bonnie nodded unimpressed from her response and said, "Well, I have biology. It's not better than chemistry, Care."

"If you say so," Caroline said nonchalantly and made a move to walk away, feeling that she couldn't take the lies she was telling anymore. Right in that moment Bonnie grabbed her wrist, looking sternly at her, and said in a severe voice, "We have to talk about something."

Immediately, Caroline released herself from her grip and looked wide-eyed at her. About what does she want to talk about? She asked herself and felt a cool shiver running down her spine.

She froze for a moment thinking that she might had found out that she was pregnant. She quickly shoved the thought away, telling herself that it has to be something different she wanted to talk about.

Caroline licked her lips and attempted to say confidently her respond though she ended up stuttering, "W-what a-about?" She collected herself and said again, this time without stammering, "What do you wanna talk about, Bon?"

Bonnie smiled sweetly and stated, "Let's talk about it when I come to your house. How about today after school? It's something important, Care."

Important, Caroline repeated in her head and couldn't stop thinking what she meant with it. At once she found herself saying, "Okay, then it's settled. We meet outside of the school." Bonnie nodded, responding with a "Till then" before she headed to her biology class.

When Bonnie disappeared from her sight, she let out a deep sigh before she also made her way to her chemistry course. While she had to endure two hours torture, Stefan and Elena were having English.

The lucky bitches, she thought to herself, smiling as she entered the classroom. The smile fell straight away when she noticed her teacher who was looking at her with a judging look.

Oh, great two hours full of boredom and torment. What a nice start for a nice weekend, she thought sarcastically as she took a seat at her desk.

They were outside saying goodbye to Stefan and Elena. Since Elena wasn't sired to Damon anymore, she swiftly went back to Stefan and he took her gladly back. They are "Stelena" again as Caroline would say, Bonnie thought as she and Caroline got into Caroline's car and drove in the direction of her house.

As soon as they were inside, Caroline threw her jacket on the couch and sat on it, making herself comfortable. Then she looked at her friend, saying, "So what is that you want to talk with me? I'm curious to know."

She winked at her dark haired friend thinking that she might have a 'boy-problem'. Maybe it's about Jer or some other random guy? She thought and felt immediately better.

Bonnie seemed still tense and not influenced by Caroline's sunny mood. She sat beside her and took a deep breath before she started to speak. "It's about..." But ere she could finish her sentence, her best friend intervened, "It's about Jeremy, right? You have a guy problem. Well, then I can help you."

Bonnie snorted and said strictly, "No, it's not about Jer. We aren't a couple or a thing. It's about you...your body."

Caroline gulped, but pretended that she was completely clueless. "What's wrong with it? Am I too fat? Or are my clothes improper? If so, I can change that quickly."

She made a move to get up, but Bonnie grasped her arm and gestured her to sit down. She did what she was requested to and sat down again. "Nothing is wrong with your clothes and you aren't fat," she said, adding in her mind: not yet, at least.

Caroline didn't know whether she should be relieved or frightened. What if Bonnie already knew about her pregnancy? Again she pushed the thought away and remained silent, looking at her with a flat expression though inside she was seething in fear.

"Then what is it?" She asked timidly, looking at her with innocent blue eyes. Bonnie sighed deeply and told her, "It's about you, Caroline. I know you are pregnant and..."

Once again she was cut off by her blond best friend. "What? Me and being pregnant?" She said, laughing at the true accusation and continued, "How do you come to think that I'm pregnant. Hello?! I'm a vampire! I can't become a mother."

Mother, she thought. She would become a mommy and the notion of it terrified her and made her happy at the same time.

Her dark brown haired friend got annoyed and snapped at her, "I was trying to tell you it and if you had let me talk, I would have said it." Caroline looked apologetically at her and said quietly, "I'm sorry, Bon Bon."

Bonnie nodded, took Caroline's hands in her own and spoke up, "Listen, Care. I know it sounds totally crazy, but you are carrying a baby inside of you. I can hear its heartbeat. I can feel it. And I'm sure Stefan and Elena noticed it too, but either they thought it was my heartbeat or they were too busy with themselves to care. Now, I want to know how you got pregnant. It just didn't happen magically. I'm sure you slept with someone."

She smirked, but instantly her features softened when she saw her best friend's defeated expression.

Caroline let out a deep sigh, looked sadly at her friend and said, feeling guilt wash over her, "I...I slept with Klaus, Bons. He got me pregnant. I'm carrying his child. It's his entire fault, he made me his mate."

She explained her friend how it was possible for hybrids to find mates and have children with them. Additionally, she told her about the new changes that the pregnancy brought along with itself. She even confessed her about her cravings on blood and how only Klaus's blood could satisfy her and her baby. Not even her feelings she felt towards the blond hybrid she left out and admitted that her feelings were increasing.

"I'm so confused, Bonnie. I don't want to fall for him. Bonnie he is bad, our enemy and I can't just fall for him. I do want Tyler back, but he is so busy and doesn't call me, and I'm being so desperate that I'm properly annoying you and for that I'm so sorry," she said in one breath and Bonnie found herself being amazed at how fast she could talk that it was hard to comprehend her.

She hugged her best friend, kissing her hair, and said gently, "It's okay. Everyone gets confused about their feelings sometimes. I know you love Tyler, but you can't help but feel something for Klaus too. I won't judge you, Care. It's okay. Don't be sorry. You don't annoy me."

She paused briefly to look into her eyes and continued, "You can't control your feelings every time. Love can't be controlled. You are not yet in love with him now, but if the time should come, then count on me. I'm here to support you with your pregnancy."

Tears welled up in Caroline's eyes and she had to hold back a sob. She didn't want to ruin this important moment of their friendship because of stupid crying. She embraced her friend, her arms around her tiny frame, and said softly, "Thank you, Bon. I really appreciate it. I'm glad I have you in my life. You're my best friend."

Bonnie giggled and replied, "I'm glad to hear that. You're mine too. However, I have to admit I'm not proud of you sleeping with Klaus and getting pregnant 'accidentally', but I could never hate you for it, end our friendship or just being mad at you. I am worried about you that this pregnancy could change you completely."

Caroline released her, leaned back into the couch and said casually, "Ah, you know me, hun. It needs more than a hybrid baby to change myself entirely. I will properly have mother feelings but I can cope with that."

At her remark, the girls laughed and after a little while they eventually came to stop.

The blond vampire looked worried into the green eyes of her best friend and asked her, "How do you think will Stefan and Elena react to this or even Damon?"

The little witch narrowed her eyes, drifting into her thoughts before she answered her question, "Well, we know that Elena tends to make things into something really big. With her you have drama for guarantee. But Stefan will surely understand. You are his best friend too. I don't think he will be mad at you, maybe a bit disappointed or sad for you...And Damon...well I don't know what he will do, but maybe he will throw a baby shower party for you."

She winked at her beloved friend and gained her sweet smile. "Thank you, for your honest words. I can totally see Damon throwing me a party. That would be so cool. Maybe he and Stef will do it together. But..."

She trailed off thinking of her mom and whether she should tell Bonnie about her fear to confront her mother with the subject, or not. She decided to tell her it anyways since she had already opened up to her and after that it seemed a bit pointless to not to confess her worry in regards to her mom.

"But what?" The witch asked at once.

Turning her attention towards her, Caroline cleared her throat and began to share her problem, "But it's my mom. I'm really afraid to tell her about my current condition. What if she doesn't like me anymore? Or is disappointed in me? What if she is ashamed of me? What if she doesn't want me as her daughter anymore? I couldn't take it. I'm so worried. Her rejection towards me would be the worst, I think. What do you think will be her reaction?"

She looked expectantly at her friend and hoped internally that she hadn't sounded too pathetic or desperate. But who was she kidding? She already was desperate. If I hadn't been so distressed, I wouldn't have been in this situation now, she thought to herself.

Suddenly, Bonnie's voice brought her back and she started to listen to her, "Your mom is nice, Care. I don't think she will make stress. She might be disappointed at first, but quickly she will get used to it and even start to like the idea of becoming a grandmother. Don't worry so much. It will turn out just fine. If you want, I can accompany you when you want to tell her it. But do it soon. I think if you wait much longer, she will be hurt that you didn't tell her it sooner."

How thankful she was to have Bonnie as her best friend! Seriously, the girl could heal someone's soul.

All at once, Caroline pulled her into tight hug and said gently, "Thank you, my dear. I love you. You are the best. Thanks for your soothing words." She then let go of her and added, "I can manage to say it to her by myself. I'm a big girl, after all."

Bonnie laughed and Caroline joined her. The girls changed the topic and talked about school and some pretty boys Bonnie had noticed. After their chat, she left her house and Caroline was alone again. Her mother would arrive at 9 or 8 pm possibly.

To not get bored, she decided to watch TV as she wasn't in the mood to do homework now. She could do that at night. Turning on the TV, zapping through the channels, she stopped by her favorite channel to watch one of her favorite TV shows, gossip girl.

Throughout the half time of the show she was smiling and was fangirling when she saw her two favorite couples Dan and Blair and Blair and Chuck. She loved both pairs.

All of a sudden a call interrupted her cheering mood and she groaned when she noticed the ID-number. It was Mr. Niklaus Mikaelson. Of course he had to disturb her while she was watching her favorite show. Yet, she picked up her phone just to check what he wanted from her this time.

"What do you want Klaus?" She said rudely, not caring to greet him first.

He chuckled lowly and responded in an amused tone, "Nothing. Why do you think that? Can't I just call you and say hello?"

"No, you always want something in return. So what is it?" She was getting a little annoyed at his happy mood.

"I wanted to talk about the baby with you. I think it would be the best, if you moved in into the Mikaelson villa. You're a part of this family now and I want to be more around the child. Besides it's much bigger here and you would have more space. What do you think?"

Was he serious? First getting her pregnant and now he wanted her to move in in his villa? He was mad! She thought and had to contain herself to not to yell at him.

Surprisingly, she held her voice calm as she spoke, "I don't know. I'm just fine here with my mom. I'm alright. I'm sure you want the child more around yourself. I understand, but for now I wish to stay here with my family. I hope you can understand that."

He grumbled, but relented, "Fine, love. If you want to stay at yours, than it's alright. I can respect that, but you should know the door is always open for you, Caroline. By the way when are you coming tomorrow?"

"I come...I think in the afternoon, I will come around for our appointment. Is there anything else you want to say?" She asked him and hoped he was finished now because she really wanted to confine watching her TV show.

After a little hesitation, he proclaimed, "No, nothing special. I don't want to disturb you anymore so I'll hang up now. Goodbye, darling. Till tomorrow."

"Until tomorrow," she said quickly and then the connection was broken.

Caroline smiled happily, being able to continue watching gossip girl though now her mind was occupied with his voice and his words. Was it just her or was he being different today? She shrugged her shoulders, seeming not to care about it and just watched the show until it was over.

Tomorrow would be a tough day because she would have to endure Klaus presence in his house. It could only go wrong, she guessed and let herself get distracted by other series.
