Keri sat in her den, having hacked her way into the mainframe of the MI9 CCTV. Sometimes she rolled her eyes at the simplicity of the security. They were in the 21st century after all. But then again, they did t have any ill-gotten gains. They preferred to do things the RIGHT way. A wave of sorrow overcame her as she spotted Dan among the frozen. Oh, why couldn't he be happy with who she was now? She was weaker before, taken in by visions of good and evil. There was no good or evil, just power. And she intended to get it, with-or without-Dan.
"The London bomb is in place, Keri," James's voice floated over to her, through the muffled shouts of the Prime Minister and his advisors.
"I'm beginning to think that this was a bad idea," she shouted back. James walked over to her and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Sometimes we make mistakes Keri, and we lose what we want, who we love..."
A tear fell down Keri's cheek.
"... But that's what makes us human."
Zoe's class sat in the back, chatting and laughing, completely unaware on how their actions today would affect the future of MI9. And possibly the whole world. The 6 agents looked at each, fear, anxiety and worry written on each of their faces. Zoe barely knew her class, and already... already she was putting them in danger. 4 days in. 4 days she'd been here and already she'd jeopardized the entire fate of everything they knew now. Maybe she should have stayed in Australia with her other sister, Marianna...
Sensing the distress on her, Frank turned around. "Zoe. Stop it now." Although the order was gentle, and Zoe hadn't said anything, she felt a huge weight lift off of her shoulders.
"What are you, the worry detector?" muttered Stella, bringing a smile to all of their faces. The 3 vans began slowing down.
They were here.
Dan glared at Stark angrily, trying to send the warning: Touch my mother and I'll kill you with my bare hands! He was being held back by several others, but they were all frozen anyway none of that mattered. Stark's gaze slid over to Dan, and he saw something in his eyes... Protectiveness. Love.
How times change. He stared less angrily back, but not much. They both looked over to where Rosa was, and had they been moving, they would have laughed. A mutual trust and friendship was formed, through Dan's loss of a father and Stark's love for Rosa, and Dan.
I suppose I could tolerate him for mum's sake, Dan thought.
"It wouldn't be too bad, I guess, to put up with you. But no snogging in front of me!" yelled Dan.
"Like I-"
"WAIT A SECOND WE'RE MOVING AGAIN!"
There was a loud crash as Rosa's hands closed over the CIA's throat. They both winced, but turned away, and Stark shouted, "Alright! You know what to do! Inform the others, get the agencies online, send out medical help to those injured, and I need a SWAT team with me, STAT!" MI9 was a bustle of activity, as people ran all over the place. Stark turned to Dan.
"Hey, kid... Dan... Daniel..."
"Dan's fine."
"Wanna go kick some KORPS ass?"
Dan grinned.
"Hell yeah."
"Miracle Dancers, We love Justin Bieber, The other team, are you in place?"
"YO! DOES THIS THING WORK?!"
"If I break a nail, I'm suing all of you."
"Yep we're ready."
Stella shook her head. Wannabe dancers, divas and remotely nice people. This wasn't happening. What had happened to the teenagers of Britain? Stella looked over at the 4 other adults in her hiding area, who shrugged helplessly back.
"OK, Redhead, you'll go in first. Miracle Dancers, you next, follow Redhead's orders. We love Justin Bieber, you can um... Keep watch with Mr Flately."
"Copy, over," came Zoe's voice. "The other team, you ready?"
The rest of the 'units' ducked behind trees and rocks as a huge ominous BOOM was heard. A flurry of schoolchildren ran out from behind the bush. Stella watched them go, bewildered.
"OK, how the hell did they all fit behind that ONE bush?!"
"Moving off the point, babe! We have to move-now!"
Stella and Frank jumped out, leading the others straight into battle, all uttering war cries. KORPS rushed up to greet them- and were instantly felled by a falling rock. They looked up to see David Cameron shaking his fist at the terrorists, yelling, "Take THAT, you idiots!"
That was an image she would never get out her mind.
Zoe ran straight into KORPS, with the Miracle Dancers behind her. The other team had stayed out to fight the others. Instantly, KORPS raised arms, and Zoe looked on helplessly. They were going to die.
"Yo, that ain't rad, man! Let's do this, hand to hand!" yelled Lady J, walking up and clicking her fingers in front of their faces. "That's reem, INNIT!"
The agents looked at each other, shrugged and put their guns down.
"We can take a few schoolkids and a diva," one of them grinned.
That was their biggest mistake.
"My man," said Lady J, a dangerous smile on her face, "Did you just call me a DIVA?"
"Yeah," he snapped. "What are you going to-" he never finished his sentence, because the next second, he was lying on the floor, a bullet through his thigh.
"NOBODY calls ME a diva, yo! And NOBODY disses us, man! Let's fight!" screamed Lady J, holding the gun up in the air. The Miracle Dancers, consisting of Roland, Lady J, Kelly and quite a few others charged forward, guns in hand.
Zoe herself slammed the butt of her gun into one mans chin, and then stabbed the other end into his stomach, before taking the clip out and throwing it at another, with perfect aim, straight in his eye. He screamed as the metal made hard contact with his pupil.
She dropped her gun as another was thrown towards her. It was Kelly, now upper cutting another woman.
"Go, get the red flag!" she shouted. "We can win this thing!" She turned around and jabbed someone in the eye, at the same time doing a right cross.
"Potential agent right there," Zoe muttered, gunning down the people in her way. Her objective? Find Keri.
On the other side of things, Mrs King was also heading in her direction...
Wuh-oh... this cant end well... I would appreciate it if you reviewed, thanks! It doesn't have to be long, just tell me whether you liked the chapter, and what direction you think I'm going in!
