A/N. okay this is it I think I did good with this chapter, if any of the details are not correct please tell me. I think this is a better ending for River than what really happened to her but then again i don't really care all that much for Moffat's River... sorry its' 1:11 exactly in the morning so once again I procrastinated until the last moment. I will try to update every two weeks or less. at least I already know what I'm writing next...enjoy.

Fixing Past Mistakes

As the light and dust burst through Rose, she felt her body change, it wasn't hot like she expected it to be, instead it was a chilling cold, but instead of concentrating on the feeling she was trying to concentrate on her Mum and Dad, Clara and the Doctor. She wanted to make sure she remember them.

It ended quickly enough as she lurched forward she felt arms wrapped around her. Her hair was a mess of untamed curled red hair that fell down to her elbows her skin had a freckles every where, her clothes felt a bit too tight and too long.

Looking up she stared straight at impossible green eyes, but it was what she could see through them, that somehow was telling her of an old impossibly long sad story, a language written in gold musical notes, as if, she could concentrate she would be able to get the definition the meaning of what they meant.

She blinked and it as gone, back to the concerned/sad eyes of the Doctor and they where looking at her concerned.

"Rose?" he asked carefully as to not spook her, he had promised she would be fine although he didn't know. Her brilliant hair covered most of her face as she looked up at the sound of name he stared into one gold colored eye and one green eye and he was stunned, for they where gorgeous

With a smile she grasped his head with both of her hands and began to promptly snog him. the Doctor unsure of how to respond so he tried to move his lips, but everybody could tell that Rose was the one in command of that particular kiss, and he almost purred as she run her hands through his hair.

Rose let go of him with a big smile, her cheek where Flushed as he could imagine his face was.

"Hello Doctor... wow is that... is that my voice... weird." she made a face before looking up first to Donna returned a big smile, looking over to her dad who had a slight shock expression at what he had witnessed and then to Clara who was also dumbfounded.

"So I'm still me!" Donna was the first to rush to her daughters embraced followed up by Clara and a weary Shaun. Although a large part of her was rejoicing with her family another part of her was thinking of a way to fix the problems she had created al those years ago. It was as she hugged Clara that the idea came to her. it was so simple she felt like hitting herself.

"Eureka!" she yelled startling her family and the Doctor from his stupor.
"Rose?" the doctor asked in concerned.

Letting go of her family she knelt before the doctor and asked. "have you found a way to save River from her ultimate fate?" she asked

"What do you mean Ultimate fate. she looked at the Donna before rounding the question over to the doctor. "what does she mean?"

"Rory, You know that mine and River time line run in opposite direction i met her when she died." turning back to Rose he shook his head, "No, i have though about it extensively but i haven't come up with a fool proof plan."

Smiling Rose told the doctor, "Then think no more i got the perfect solution, standing up she looked to Clara.

"Clara i am going to need River to be put unconscious do not hurt her just stunned her take her to the lab, Rory your with me i am going to perform a surgery and i am going to need an assistant. Mom, im going to need you to call Torchwood in Cardif ask Jack to give you all the file he has on Professor Lazarus's research i need to make sure the plan is fool prof. Doctor i am going to need the laser screw driver that the master used on you to progress your age. Now let's move," the console room burst with activity.

Donna logged into her Tardis system to find the correct number to dial Jack quickly finding it she dialed only to get a busy dial tone. Shaun who was finding quiet anxious moved to help her into finding another number to use.

Clara pulled out her own stun gun nd made her way to see River, she had promised Rose not to harm her even if she truly wanted to. On her shoulder rested the Dragon (Genie) ready to aid should it become necessary.

Rory followed Rose to a laboratory " I m going to need you to stay here and make sure this pool fills up with the liquid in the faucet make sure it stays right under the red line. Rory moved to obey, before he asked

"Can you save her?" Rose turned to look back at her younger brother she had missed growing up.

"i will try my hardest to insure she survives in one form or the other." she walked out making her way to the closet. it was time to remove her clothing that felt ill fitting.
She walked into her closet and began looking through her clothes. She grab Black slack's a pair of boots s button up shirt, a white lab coat and a pair of round frame glasses.

she changed and made her way to the lab, upon opening the door she saw that the Doctor had gotten back, Rory was no where to be seen but the pool was full, River was on the operation bed Clara and Genie stood up as they watched her coming.

"what's your plan Rose?" The doctor asked.

"Simple Doctor i am going to remove a chip out of River and place it unto an exact clone of River. This river will lose her memories and will become a grown up baby using the laser screw driver that the master used on you i plan to reverse the effect so that instead of aging.."

"she will rejuvenate to her proper age, that of an infant, and thus Amelia Tyle- Pond will get the child she could never raise. Rive-Melody will get to be raised properly and a River song will die of her own free will in the Library the clone brain will be more than enough to handle the such capacities since it will be empty, and the chip will transfer its memory bank to the closes device which from what Donna tells me will be your-" she pulled out her own screw driver "MY screwdriver which you then upload those memories into the system and River finally gets a small happily ever after."

"but what happens to the clone?" the doctor asked rose who just sighed
"The clone won't be like Clara who is mostly or the Amy clone-"

"No no no wait what do you mean Clara?"

"Clara's story is for another day what im trying to say is that River Clone will not survive the downloading of the people but instead will fry her brain and with nothing else holding her in place she will disappear in a poof leaving no body. Which is from what Mum tells me is how it happened."

"is there no other way?" he asked although The Doctor was still angry at River for having shot Rose she was still a good friend during the last two hundred and fifty years.

Rose shook her head, "Doctor you know you cannot change the past you have caused enough paradoxes. your lucky the Rippers haven't shown up to destroy anything... not that we would know at least."

the Doctor gave a resigned sigh and grasped Rose by her waist and pulled her to him he hugged her and buried his face in her neck trying to hide the few tears for the future lost River Song.

Rose gripped him back, "I'm sorry Doctor but it was all my mistake my anger and my fault that caused this I'm am an adult i will fix this one way or the other and I've seen the time lines this will work"

He shook his head in denial but said nothing just tried to calm himself with Rose's fragrance, it seemed to have changed to the one she had before, the first time he met her she smelled of lavender the second on her last regeneration she smelled of vanilla and this regeneration smelled of ironically roses.
he didn't pull away until Rory came in.

"sorry am I interrupting something?" the Doctor pulled away and Rose after giving him a searching look before being satisfied she turned to Rory.
"Don't worry. where did you go?" she asked

"Amy had a nervous breakdown when Clara went in and shot River, I had to calm her down before giving her a pill to put her to sleep"
Rose turned to give a admonishing look to Clara who had been to this point trying to pretend she didn't exist and was now giving Rose a rebellious look that clearly said: I didn't hurt River did I?

Shaking her head at Clara, Rose turned to Rory who was already fully dressed in his nurse outfit.

Rose took several of River's sample DNA placing it on the side she and Rory assisted by the Doctor and Clara began with the operation.
