A/N- sorry for the late update, school started up and i'm tired, i'm also currently suffering from writer's block, i swear i'll go the last chapter and fix it soon. If this one is weird too it's because it 4:30 am and i've had no sleep because i was finally inspired today, so here about 2,300 words. (FIXED IT)

Not All Who Wander Are Lost

"See Rose the thing about this planet is that it has two different gravities." The Doctor said as he and Rose walked towards a large canyon that upon getting close and looking down didn't seem to have an ending, the other side of the canyon seemed so far away their hands were locked and the doctor was swinging their arms back and forward punctuating every word.

"I see" said Rose, as she failed to see what the desert planet with two gravities had to do with her having to wear a dress, and her dancing shoes.
With a glint in his eye, upon having reached the very edge, much to Rose's resistance, the Doctor let go of Rose's hand and jumped off the cliff.

Filled with a flash of Panic and feeling her heart dropping to her stomach.

"NO!" Rose moved to grab his hand accidentally losing her balance and falling right into his chest.

It was what he had expected because he had arms spread open catching Rose he embraced her.

Rose who had close her eyes expecting to feel herself falling to her death instead she felt the Doctor's arms around her.

Opening her eyes she looked at her surroundings, They were falling but very, very slowly, so slowly that had she been human she would have not noticed.
Her mind filled with wonderment, this is what the doctor had meant by two different gravities.

"This Planet has two gravities for each of it's side, half of it is similar to earths while the other is three time lighter than the earth's moon"
Turning to look at the Doctor she saw the grin in his face, making him look like a mischievous kid. He had played a mean trick and Rose couldn't help but purse her lips into a pout, only to have the Doctor leaned in to kiss her lips, taking Rose by surprise, his left hand slid down to her thigh only to take her hand raising it, with his right hand still around her waist he pushed her closer, releasing her from the kiss she realise he had positioned them into a waltz.

Letting go of her hand he searched his pocket until he found his Sonic aimed it at the Tardis, he pushed the button and suddenly music filled the air. putting his sonic away he took her hand once again and together they began to dance.

Rose laugh as she realised they were dancing in thin air, to none other than Glenn Miller's, Moonlight Serenade.

"You sure don't like to be out do, do you Doctor?" Rose asked as she recalled Captain Jack using the same song to seduce her, on top of a alien ship, such a long time ago.

the Doctor gave her and innocent smile as he said in a northern accent "don't know what you mean Rose."

Causing Rose to laugh. They danced to the song in thin air as Rose leaned her head into his shoulder.

Her mind began to wonder, the kiss had been their fourth in the last three months, although she was fully married to the Doctor, he was not. He wanted to do it of course, he wanted to do it quickly. But Rose had other plans, it's not that she didn't love the Doctor, because she did, it was just that this was a new, new her, and that was a new, new, new Doctor.

She didn't want to rush things, she wanted to re learned things about her self and about the Doctor. She wanted them to take time and enjoy the little things.
Having had lost her doctor twice made her realised that she had been in such a rush the first time with the adventures and the second time trying to establish a relationship with her new doctor, that she had ignore all the small details. How did the first flowers the Doctor had given her smelled what did she wear on their third Date? All of this she didn't know and more. and that sadden her.

She didn't want the same thing to happen this time. With her time lord mind she wouldn't either.

Feeling the Doctor's presence right in front of her she felt his heart's beat, his every breath. the exact position of his hands, as he twirled them and moved them to the exact rhythm.

Almost as if sensing her melancholy the doctor startled her as he gave her a sharp twirl, out and in, with a sudden dip and the song changed to 'In the Mood', Instantly recognising the song she gave him the biggest smile.

THe Doctor's eyes filled with happiness, glad that she had recognised the song so quickly, their mind taking them to a time in London, during The Blitz. They began to move more giddily as the memory rushed in. one song followed another and ROse's mind was successfully distracted...

Having danced to their hearts content the doctor then grabbed Rose's hand and gave a great leap. The force lead them to land into the cliffs edge Rose's cheeks were flushed her eyes shone with excitement with sweat clinging to her forehead the Doctor, who hours ago had taken his jacket off and thrown it away to the cliff, picked it up from where it had landed, and together Rose and the Doctor made their way to the tardis laughing and talking excitedly about everything and nothing at all.

it was as Rose took a quick Shower that she recalled how she and the Doctor had ended up in what Clara had called "a lovers retreat.

Right after the doctor and her grandfather had shaken hands, a group of UNIT stormed into their home, it seemed to be in response Rose's and Doctor's arrival; the UNIT force was promptly led a tall blond woman who was a scientific adviser for UNIT she gave her name as Kate Stewart. Kate began to explain that they had no idea of the purpose of the cubes and hope the Doctor can help.

Which Rose and Doctor agreed to do just that, before Amy and Rory announced that they wanted to take a break from traveling for a while so that they could acclimate themselves to raising their daughter.

Rose and the doctor gave them a ride to their house with a blue door.

the Doctor had a tearful goodbye with amy who made him promise to drop by once in a while, Rory and Rose stood off to the side as they exchanged phone numbers, he tried to ask her about what had happened at the med bay but a firm shake of her head he let it drop only after he made her promise to tell the Doctor.

the Doctor and Rose returned to her house and began to monitor the cubes but after several days of watching the cubes without anything out of the ordinary occurring, except maybe the Doctor going stir crazy doing nothing, the Doctor decided there was no problem. Deciding that finding out where Donna seemed to be more important, He put Wilfred in change of watching the cubes, Clara refused his offer to travel, saying that he and rose needed to reconnect, and that she rather stay on earth incase something happened she would rather her grandfather have some back up.

with promises to call Clara regularly the Doctor and Rose had left in her tardis to look for her mom. it took 2 weeks to realise that TARDIS herself seems to be waiting for something which was why she had hidden herself from their sensors.

It was after calling Clara to inform her and to get the update that Clara herself suggested just taking the time until her mum appeared to go in a lovers retreat. Making the Doctor blush and stutter out that they weren't just lovers they married.

Which after having ended the phone call Rose informed him that technically she was married, while he was still free. which then lead to the Doctor trying to rectify the whole thing by just marrying her, which caused Rose to get mad, that that wasn't the point. which then lead to fighting about learning about each other after they get properly married, which, finally ended with Rose having her way, moving their relationship slowly and him actually, properly, wooing her.

Which is how for the last three month the Doctor had been doing just that.

Coming out of her room to the hallway Rose was dressed in pj as she made her way to the library, where she knew the Doctor would be waiting for her for their nightly ritual of movie watching.

The following month Rose and the Doctor found themselves visiting Amy and Rory for their wedding anniversary party wanting to give them a proper gift he tried and failed at convincing them to travel with him, saying that Melody was to small to travel in space and they didn't feel like leaving her behind, even after saying that they wouldn't even be gone for a few minutes, but they stood their ground saying that they would know.

The Doctor gave up after that and left to go sulk in the baby room as he fiddled with one of the toys with his sonic, Rose left the party soon after to look for the doctor, she made her way to the second floor, before she heard the sonic coming from one of the rooms, she walked in to find herself in a baby's room. The room was painted baby blue with golden stars. the crib was in the middle of the room, in every corner, where toys for an infant, mentally shaking the lump that seemed to try to grow in her throat she move around the crib to find the doctor on the other side with his sonic aimed at a electronic dog.

"Doctor are you alright?" Rose asked.

Looking up at Rose the Doctor gave her a sad and lonely smile, "Yes of course i'm alright, you know me, always alright." he stayed silent for a few seconds as Rose sat behind him. Their backs to each other as their hands found each others. He laced their fingers together as she waited for him to continue.

"I know that asking them to come with me is selfish, I know that it's in their best interest that they don't travel with me especially after what happened to River the first time." gripping Rose's hand " I have been left behind, and I have left companions behind, and some, not many, have died. Rose I'm dangerous, I know I am. I always try to make them happy but some how I always fail. i fail you, Rose, like I failed Donna, Sarah Jane, and Martha, and Mickey-OW"

Rose slammed the back of her head against the back of his making him yell in alarm. "What you did that for?"

Holding back the pain she felt from the headbutt, Rose stood up hands on her hips fury in her eyes "Did you kidnap us? lock us in the Tardis and took off? Because if i remember correctly we all chose to travel with you Doctor. Can you imagine how ordinary our lives would have turn out if we had said no? I'd probably be working at a shop! Martha would probably be a regular doctor with her family still divided. Mickey would have never realise his potential, Sarah Jane would have been a regular Journalist instead of a kick ass woman who fights for justice in any possible way she can... well she'd probably be a kick ass woman fighting injustice... the point is Doctor for a being who is so smart and old and wise you sure act childish and stupid."

the Doctor stared up at her as she stood over him her hands on her hips as the doctor still holding his head sat on the floor dumbfounded.
"I- I but i -"

"Doctor right now today, is a day for celebration for Rory and Amy, and if my information is correct it is also a day to celebrate for you too. Today Isn't just their wedding anniversary it's also the anniversary of Amy and Rory's and your's first trip together. one day late but still. Instead of celebrating, you're here sulking, they are still your friends whether they travel with you or not, respect their wish. Like Sarah Jane said: You have the biggest family in the Universe."

The Doctor stood up making Rose take a step back still angry with him. with a small smile he reached over for Rose's hand which she allowed for him to take, He kissed it softly.

"You're right" he said he took a deep breath before smiling "You very right Rose today is a day for celebrating." pulling her out of the nursery he joined the party, with great enthusiasm.

Humanity forgets about the cubes' arrival, and use them as paperweights and similar mundane functions. Unknown to anyone at the hospital where Rory works, a young girl with a cube controls a pair of identical orderlies with distorted faces to capture a few selected patients.
