Trapped Chapter Nine

"Naruto, I is your bed," Sasori told Kakuzu, looking at Hidan Kakuzu could see a large smirk spreading across his face.

Punching Hidan as hard as he could in the chest, Kakuzu stormed past Sasori into his room. Staying exactly where they were, Hidan and Sasori glanced at each other, peeling round the corner to see the closed door of Kakuzu's room. The room was completely zilent making Sasori and Hidan concerned for the young boy. Unknown to them Kakuzu was sat across the room at his desk, writing his report for Pein. Taking no notice of the boy curled up on his bed. Not knowing that Kakuzu was in the room with him, Naruto continued to sleep through the whole thing. Standing from his desk, Kakuzu grabbed his report leaving his room to hand the report to Pein. Notcing that Sasori and Hidan were peeking around the corner. Kakuzu went the other way pretending that he hadn't seen the two other Akatsuki members.

"Pein, here is the report," Kakuzu told Pein, standing across from him in Pein's office.

"Good, you may leave," Pein said, his eyes scanning over what Kakuzu had written in his report.

Returning to his room, Kakuzu was surprised to not see Sasori and Hidan. Entering his room, Kakuzu saw Naruto sitting upon his bed, leaving the door open to ensure that Naruto didn't feel threationed by Kakuzu.

"Hello," Kakuzu greeted.

"Who are you?" Naruto asked, having seen the person before but not knowing who it was.

"Kakuzu, you know my partner Hidan," Kakuzu answered, aware that Naruto seemed to be really uneasy.

"Whatam I doing in your room?" Naruto asked, pulling himself from the bed and standing at the side of the bed.

"Sasori, he put you in here," Kakuzu answered.

"I don't want to be here," Naruto answered.

"if you don't like my company, then leave," Kakuzu growled, wrapping his arms around himself.

"I want out of this base," Naruto whispered in reply.

Kakuzu saw Naruto's eyes fill with tears; they fell down his face as he held his head low. Body shaking, Naruto reached up with his hands to cover his face.

"I'm sorry, Naruto," Kakuzu said, not wanting to cause Naruto to become even more upset.

"Just leave me alone," Naruto ordered, attempting to step past Kakuzu to exit from the room.

Kakuzu grabbed Naruto's shoulders stopped him from leaving the room, unaware of how tight he was holding on to Naruto. The expression on Naruto's face become one of pain and confusion. Pulling against Kakuzu's strong grip, Naruto's movements were slow and uneasy. Every muscle in his body seemed to have become taunt as he attempted to pull himself free from kakuzu's grip.

"Your grip is too tight," Naruto winced; Kakuzu froze in place apart from his hands which he pulled from Naruto.

"Sorry," Kakuzu said, Naruto crossed his arms and covering where Kakuzu had grabbed him.

"Don't worry I'm used to it," Naruto replied, slowly stepping around Kakuzu.

Watching the boy walk away from him, Kakuzu could feel something in his chest tighten. As he saw Naruto look up and down the hallway not knowing where to go. Sighing Kakuzu rolled his eyes, Naruto was heading further into the base, away from the main living room and entrance. Walking the opposite way from Naruto, Kakuzu glanced back after a moment to see Naruto had turned and was now staring at him.

"Follow me," Kakuzu ordered, following after Kakuzu Naruto kept his distance not sure where they were headed.

Reaching the main living area, Kakuzu entered first before Naruto quickly followed. The living area was fairly empty; Kakuzu knew it would be, everyone was usually out training at this time in the morning. Walking through the living area, Kakuzu stopped at two large doors leading out to the internal Akatsuki training area. When it was raining everyone trained inside, so that no one got sick and avoid getting wet and in the end, ended up covering in mud. Pushing open the doors, Kakuzu stepped through the doors entering into the extremely well lit room. Naruto covered his eyes, raising his arm as he looked around the room, not able to see inside the room. His eyes had become accustomed to the darkness of the rest of the Akatsuki base, as his vision cleared he began to see things in his vision. As his eyes slowly adjusted, Naruto opened his eyes to see figures around the room. As more time pasted Naruto could tell who everyone was, he lowered his arm cause his eyes could almost handle the light. Staying where he was, Kakuzu glanced at Naruto before walking over to Hidan standing staring at him.

"He isn't bad," Kakuzu told Hidan.

"He is my nephew, what would you expect?" Pein asked.

"I didn't expect him to want to leave the Akatsuki base so badly," Kakuzu answered, Naruto gaze moved to the floor as his tears began to rise to the surface again.

"He still needs time," Konan replied, stepping up to Naruto and hugging him tightly.

Returning the hug, Naruto locked his hands behind Konan, holding her close. His physical contact with people had been very limited since he had left the village; most of the contact had been bad and hurtful. But Konan's hug was the best thing Naruto had felt in what felt like forever. She hold seemed to hold him, protecting him from anything that dared to hurt him. Konan's hair curled in front of his blurry eyes as he looked forwards at Pein standing watching the scene. Slowly Naruto reached out with a single hand, stepping forwards Pein took Naruto's hand in his. Staring at each other neither said anything, neither knew what to say.
