Trapped Chapter Ten
Sitting in the living area, Naruto sat across the table from Pein. Everyone else was pretending to be doing something else, but truth be told they were listening to the conversation.
"I need to go to the village," Naruto told Pein, his voice cracking as he spoke.
"When you are ready," Pein replied.
"I'm never going to be ready if I don't," Naruto said, the tone in Naruto's voice letting Pein know that he close to crying.
Standing from his desk, Pein walked round to his hat stand in corner of the room. Pulling a white cloak with red cloaks from the hat stand, along with a hat similar to the ones the Akatsuki wore, the only difference between the four bells hanging from the side of the hat. Holding them out for Naruto to take, Pein had a stern look on his face as he waited for the Naruto to take it. Pulling back slightly, Naruto shook his head slowly at Pein's request.
"When you take these you will be ready," Pein told Naruto, hanging the coat and hat back on the hat stand.
"I am ready, but I'm not ready to take over village from you," Naruto replied, Pein didn't say anything just left the room.
"He is right," Kisame told Naruto.
"He isn't, I need to go back to the village," Naruto replied, not really paying attention to what he was saying.
"Tobi, wants to go to the village," Tobi whined.
"Let's go then, Naruto you are coming with us," Kisame told Naruto, shaking his head Kisame completely missed the action as he left the room to get his things so that he could leave.
Kisame returned to the room to find Tobi gone to get his coat and hat and Naruto still sat at the table, now with his head resting on the table.
"Are you going to get a jacket or coat?" Kisame asked, aware that it was raining outside and knowing that he was going to end up drenched in Naruto left the base in his current dress.
"I want to go to the leaf village," Naruto told Kisame, not looking up at him.
"We are going to the Rain Village…you haven't seen it yet have you?" Kisame asked, Tobi took that moment to walk into the room.
"I'm ready, Kisame. I'm ready, Kisame," Tobi shouted, he jumped up and down on the spot.
"Go get, Pein," Kisame ordered, after Naruto didn't answer for a few minutes.
Standing from the table, Naruto walked past Kisame heading in the opposite way that Tobi had run off to find Pein. Stepping in front of Naruto before he could leave, Kisame took Naruto's shoulders in his hands stopping him from going anywhere.
"Naruto, Pein needs to speak with you, we can't take the chance that something happens to you, mentally or physically," Kisame told Naruto.
"Nothing is going to happen to me," Naruto shouted.
"Calm down, Naruto," Pein ordered, walking up behind Naruto.
"It's true," Naruto said.
"I have seen so many ninjas in the same state you are in return to their old villages; trust me when I say that if you return now, you will be broken. I have seen so many ninjas return mentally scarred, never in my life has anyone returned and not be scarred mentally or physically because they wouldn't wait," Pein told Naruto.
"I would regret it later," Naruto whispered, Pein nodded to Kisame letting him know that he could release the boy.
Kisame released Naruto; he nodded toPein before stepping back. Turning Naruto round to face him, Pein looked down at Naruto a sad expression on his face as he thought of what pain Naruto must have been going through.
"Trust me, just trust me,"Pein told Naruto, eyes downcast as Pein hoped that Naruto would listen to him and pay attention to what exactly he was saying.
Silence filled the room, Kisame felt really awkward as he stood staring at Pein and Naruto. Not able to move, Kisame knew that if he moved then the spell would be broken.
"Take Naruto to the village, I will take a get a cloak for him," Pein told Kisame.
Grabbing the smallest cloak that he could find, Pein turned the cloak inside out; the cloaks where designed in such a way to only show the red clouds on one side. Holding the cloak up from Naruto to take, Naruto seemed to hesitate for a second before he saw Pein nod. Taking the cloak from Pein, Naruto put his arms into the sleeves. Pulling the cloak on tightly, Naruto glanced up at Pein, before he turned to Kisame.
"Let's go," Naruto whispered.
Taking Naruto's hand, Kisame pulled him out of the Akatsuki base and into the fresh air for the first time, since being brought to the base. Refusing to release Naruto's hand, Kisame ran along the path heading for the village, Tobi caught up with them quickly. All anyone would see if they were watching was two black cloaks with red clouds and a single just simple black cloak. Reaching the edge of the village, Kisame and Tobi stopped for a minute to glance back at Naruto before they continued on. Kisame still hadn't released Naruto, but Kisame couldn't help but notice that he no longer cared. People watching as they walked pasted, interested in what was going on. A few smiled; sure that Kisame was in a sexual relationship with the small blond haired boy. Walking through the village, Naruto's attention soon drifted to the village around them. Watching everything as he passed, Naruto was amazed at the beauty of the place. All Naruto knew of the Rain Village was that it rained most of the time; the secret being that it only rained when Pein wanted it to rain. He controlled the weather, when strangers entered the country, rain would come on in downpours, alerting everyone that someone new was around.
