Chapter 6: Back in Storybrooke
A/N: Sorry I kind of have been on hiatus from this story. I lost inspiration because no one was suggesting anything new, I ran out of ideas, and no one took my polls. So I finally had an idea on this story. Sorry if this chapter is not very good, but I kind of went out on a whim with this idea. By the way I have a second story now. Back in Storybrooke, things have gone a rye. There were two people in town who were causing corruption, Madame Mayor was in Neverland looking for her son, the town sheriffs were also in Neverland. Even the most powerful person in town, Mr. Gold, was in Neverland. Without any sort of authority, Storybrooke went crazy. There was only one person who could step up to the plate, Belle.
Belle felt an enormous amount of pressure. She knew she had to be the one to keep everyone in check. Rumple depended on her. Belle wasn't used to this sort of role. She was usually one of the quiet ones in town. She was only the town librarian. But she decided she needed to become mayor while Regina was gone.
Belle woke up early in the morning. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She had gotten to bed late because she was busy printing out flyers. She marched to Granny's and got a hamburger even though it was the morning. It was still her favorite, not only because of the taste, but because it reminded her of Rumple. It was the first thing she ate that was actually decent in Storybrooke and Rumple was there to witness it. After she ate, she asked Granny if she could hand out the flyers to everyone who came in the shop.
On the flyer was a notification of a town meeting being held today at three o'clock. Belle was going to hold it at the mayor's office, but then decided against it because it could have been invasive to Regina's space. Also, there was no way Belle could get in there without a key. Belle also didn't have access to the police station. The only places she had access to was the pawnshop, and the library. She decided to hold the meeting at the library; because it was far too risky to hold it at the pawnshop. Not with the two people on the loose. They could easily get Rumple's magic spells if it was held at the shop.
Belle went around town handing flyers to anyone she could. She began posting the flyers all over town. Belle then got to the library and began setting up. She had a lot of setting up to do, but it wouldn't take long. Belle was a fast worker. It was eventually 2:45. Two men showed up early with flyers in their hands. They looked rather suspicious. Belle knew it had to be them who was making the trouble. She had never seen them in town before, and she knew everyone in town.
"Hi, you are early to the meeting. The meeting doesn't start until three. I've never seen you two here before. Did you just move here?"
"Are you the authority in this town?" the guy with glasses asked.
"Well not really, all of the authority is in Neverland. I'm just taking their place for now, why is it you ask?"
"Get her." The one with glasses said. The two men grabbed both of her arms. The one without glasses took a chair and they charged her up the stairs towards the clock tower. Belle began to scream. The guy with glasses covered her mouth with his free hand. Belle began to kick and try to wiggle herself free, but she couldn't. The men were too strong. They reached the clock tower, and put the chair in front of the clock. The guy with glasses violently shoved Belle into the chair.
"You don't have to do this. You are better than this." She said.
"We don't want to, but we have to." The guy without glasses said. He put a blindfold around her mouth and tied her arms around the chair. They also tied her feet to the chair.
"Let's go we're running out of time!" The guy with glasses yelled out. They ran downstairs leaving Belle all alone in the clock tower, where no one could hear her.
A/N: Sorry this chapter is really short and sucky. I just felt bad about writing a new story and not updating this one. PLEASE LEAVE SUGGESTIONS OF WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN! I get so many people telling me to keep writing this, but I can't because I have no ideas. Also, tell me what you think of the new season of Once Upon a Time so far, and your opinion on the Doctor Who season that just ended! Thanks!
