Short Chapter but, needed an update so here's one.

Zane POV

As the sun rises it hits my eyes and I wake up. I squint as my eyes adjust to the sun. I sit up and hear crawlers. I hurry to my feet grabbing my rifle and looking around. I see some but they aren't doing anything so I go downstairs, and check on Zara first then everyone else.

They all seem fine so I decide to go back to the roof. As I walk by Zara's room, a hand grabs my wrist and pulls me in. She pushes me against the wall I look wide eyed at her.

"Uh... Zara what are you doing?" I ask her. "If you go back on that roof you will doom us all. You risked us all last night doing what you did." She says angered.

"How? All I did was sleep." I say. "The crawlers here can smell live humans. I thought you would be smarter then that." She scolds. "Sorry, it won't happen again. But I hate the room I got stuck with." I say.

She looks at me and smiles. "Why is that?" "Because it's too far away from yours." I say bringing my arms up and removing her hands from my shoulders.

She looks at me stunned. "So, does that mean you like me?" "Yes, it does, a lot." I say looking in her eyes. She was looking right back into mine, and it was a certain spark that I just loved.

"So are we a couple?" She asks. I stop and think for a minute. "I'm not sure. The last two relationships have ended by her getting killed." I say. "I promise I won't if you won't" She says with a soft sweet smile. The moment was far to perfect for words. Her smile was so innocent and perfect.

She is my true soul-mate I think as my eyes meet hers and my head slowly leans forward towards hers. Just as our lips touch we hear a knock on the door. I'm gonna kill whoever it is. I say to myself as I open the door and see Humphrey.

He sees me and can tell I'm a little pissed off at him. "I'll come back." I shove him away and close the door. "Now where were we?" I ask as I take hold of her hands and we lean back together for the kiss.

We kiss for a while then break apart of air. "We should probably go now." "I agree, and should we tell them?" "Let them figure it out." I say.

Then we walk out and join the others. We sit down next to each other, but not touching. "So, what were you two doing in there?" Humphrey asks. I look at him and glare.

"We were talking about what to do next and if we stay or leave." She says. "Sure, that's why it took you so long to answer the door." Humphrey says. "Cause we were sitting down, that's all and that's all it will ever be." I answer and look at Zara, and can see some question in her eyes about how seriously I just answered.

I look back at everyone then back to Zara. "We'll be back." I say. We stand up and head to her room. "What's wrong?" I ask her. "It's just you made it sound to real when you answered." She said.

I felt bad, but didn't really know if I should hug her or not. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to." I say taking her in my arms and feel her tense at first then relax into it. We sit there when Garth comes in. "Wow, so you are together." He says. "Get out or you're dead." I threaten. His eyes widen and he steps out.

Garth POV

I walk back down to the others. "Well?" Lilly asks. "Um... Didn't ask, just got threatened by Zane." I say. "What?! Why?" Kate asks. "Um... Him and Zara were hugging and I interrupted." I say. "So they are together." Humphrey says.

"Ya, and they make a great couple, but I hope this time ends good." Kate says. Then we go quiet and can hear the shuffle of crawlers outside. We listen and are ready just in case.

As we listen we all get to relaxed sitting and I watch everyone fall asleep, but I stay awake to listen for anything, but sleep over takes and I nod off.

Zara POV

Zane and I had laid down to rest and relax after what had just happened between us and I heard a loud noise. I nudge Zane and get up. "What is it?" He asks sitting up too. "I heard something." I say.

He gets off the bed and grabs his rifle. I grab mine and my other weapons and follow behind him. As we head downstairs he stops and crouches lifting his rifle. I look and see a single crawler.

Then I see it's getting close to the others. Then I hear Zane's rifle fire and the crawler drop. Then Garth and the others jump awake and look around frantically. "What's going on?" Lilly asks. "Crawlers! To the roof now!" Zane shouts.

A/N: Well there it is. Took longer than I expected but got it done.
