CHAPTER 20: FAMILY AND FRIENDS FIRST

Clary elbowed Sebastian in the stomach, and kneed him where the sun doesn't shine.
She brandished her whip and lashed it across his back.
He gave such a cry of pain that she nearly dropped her whip in surprise, but she didn't. Instead, she ran towards Jace, who had propped himself up on his elbow, staring at Clary's fighting with a look if astonishment on his face.
"Jace! Are you alright?!" She asked him, worry evident in her voice.
"What have you done with the mundane Shadowhunter, and where is she?" Jace asked with a playful smirk on his angelic face.
"She got her memories back, and she isn't a mundie!" Clary told him.
How could he be in a good mood when they were in danger?
Suddenly Jace was lifted up violently by the throat, and a knife was held to his jugular.
"You listen, or he dies," Sebastian snarled at Clary.
"Jace!" Clary yelled, panicking now.
Jace smiled at her, but didn't move.
"As I said earlier, I have an offer for you. If you want, I can give you three days to decide, but once those three days are over you must make up your mind, " Sebastian said.
Clary was on the verge of doing anything to keep Jace alive, even if it meant getting herself killed.
"Alright. What's your "offer" then," she asked, feeling impatient.
"In order to keep everyone you love safe, and that includes Golden Boy and the Daylighter, you can stay with me, and I won't harm you or anyone you know," Sebastian said.
His black eyes were serious, no hint of lying in them, his face a look of sincerity, and what she thought was a little bit of hope.
"No, Clary! Don't do it!" Jace shouted.
She took a couple steps back.
Wouldn't it be better? No one will be harmed, and neither would she, but she wwasn't sure about that last part.
But wasn't she always a burden. Eve since she met the Shadowhunters, she'd been nothing but trouble, always risking herself and others.
So wouldn't it be better, if she just left her old family and friends behind, and join her brother, knowing that everyone was gonna be safe?
She made up her mind, even though she knew Jace would hate her for it.
"I'll stay with you."

Isabelle ducked from the banshee demon, clutching her ears as it screamed deafeningly.
She was on her last seraph blade and her whip.
She spun back towards the banshee and whipped it across the face.
It exploded into ash.
She saw Luke and Jocelyn fighting side by side, and she had to admit, they were great at fighting.
She saw her Alec and Magnus fighting off three Ravenor demons. Alec with his bow and arrow, and Magnus' blue sparks flying from his fingertips.
Isabelle had allied with Meliorn, who wasn't with her at rhe moment.
She felt angry at him for leaving her here, on her own, with at least fifty or sixty demons.
Again, Isabelle flicked her whip around another demons neck, and pulled as hard as she could. The head came away and exploded.
She cursed as the light in her seraph blade went out from the demons blood spatters.
Realising she has no proper weapon, except her whip, she backed away towards the Accords Hall.
If she made it out of this, and Clary and Jace come back, the first thing she was going to do was ask Clary to be her parabatai. She definitely did not want to die without a parabatai.
Suddenly the sky exploded into a golden light, and shone on all of the demons.
Isabelle shielded her eyes a little bit, looking under her hand to on see what was going on.
The demons were starting to glow a golden type of color, and some were beginning to combust.
When most of the battlefield was clear of demons, the Shadowhunters and Downworlders burst into action.
The last amount of demons were sent back to whatever hellish dimension they had come from.
"It must of been the Angel!" Shouted a teenage girl who was around fourteen or fifteen.
Isabelle didn't know what to say as she stared at the Golden light that was now fading away, along with all the demons.
