Yuki and Kisa were rubbing the sleep from their eyes, trying to get used to the light in the room. "Do I have to go? Can't I stay the night? I know it's asking much, but it's been really fun staying here with you guys. It's never boring when we're all together. Please?" Kisa said hoping greatly she could stay.
"Oh Kisa….. This place isn't for you…" Yuki said trying to choose and say his words without sounding mean. "Indeed I believe we all had a amazing time together, but doctors will be coming in very often- and they are all men because of my situation and all. And of course most importantly I don't want you to get sick. It's not fun being sick, and we don't want Hatori to work even harder then he already is right? There isn't anything here that would entertain you; and would be very boring. I have been extremely bored and it's most certainly not fun. We'll meet again and go to the park. Sound good?" Yuki said with a smile.
"But-" Kisa was cut off by Yuki.
"Please? I want you to be comfortable and not have to worry about getting sick. And If you got sick, Hatori would have too work long hours in the night, even more then he does now. Please?" Yuki said hoping Kisa would give in and not argue about the topic at hand.
"Alright…" Kisa said looking down sad. Yuki smiled and lifted her chin so the were eye to eye.
"That doesn't mean we didn't have a wonderful time today you know." As Yuki continued to make Kisa feel better about the situation.
"Right!" Kisa said perking up, throwing her arms in the air.
The men watching smiled as Yuki handled the situation in the best way possible, and not putting pressure on Hatori, Ayame or Shigure. They watched as Yuki talked to Kisa about the things they could do after he was well enough to get out of the Hospital.
"Hay you two, scoot close." Hatori said standing up getting out his camera. Yuki and Kisa scooted closer giving a smile.
"Funny picture!" Kisa said happily after Hatori took the first picture.
"Alright then." Yuki said not even sounding like it was stupid. It almost sounded like he wanted to….. Yuki stuck out his tongue, and used his pointer finger to pull down part of his right bottom eyelid. Kisa used her two fingers and pulled her mouth stretching it; and using her pointer fingers to open her eyes wider, her eyes reviling truly how much fun she was having.
"Nice." Hatori said chuckling.
"You two are so cute, even if you look like that." Ayame joked.
"Have you seen your face when you sleep? It's not pretty ether Ayame. If you could see yourself you might hide under the covers and never come out." Yuki said challenging his bother smiling back.
"Alright I think we get how bad Ayame looks when he's sleeping." Shigure said smiling.
"I look bad when I sleep!" Ayame said horrified that Shigure would say such things.
"Oh Aya….. Sometimes you make funny faces when you sleep." Shigure said pulling Ayame close to him, and hugging him tightly. "But you do have your cute moments to." Shigure brushed the lost strands of hair out of Ayame face. The men then let out much laughter, not able to contain themselves.
Yuki smiled; His family might be a disaster- But this part wasn't… They were laughing and enjoying themselves. This part was his family. They were mixed matched indeed but it was the best thing he could ever have in his entire life. "Yuki, what's with your face?" Ayame said still teasing his brother.
"It's in some way your face to you know." Yuki said back still challenging. His older brother.
"OHHHHHHHHHH" Shigure said loudly leaning back with both hands in the air. The family laughed having some of the best moments ever. Hatori smiled not wanted this moment to ever end. So he again took the moment that was happing- and froze it forever in his heart. Not ever wanting to lose his family that he held so dear to his heart.
Hatori watched Yuki's face show a broad smile. A smile that showed far less then Hatori wished it would. Kisa was laughing as well, hugging Yuki trying to calm her own laughter. Hatori took another picture and smiled looking at it. It was clear. Perfectly clear- It showed so much love. Something Hatori himself didn't see much of in his life. Hatori, still lost in his own thoughts didn't notice Ayame behind him; with a big smile Ayame rapped his arms around Hatori giving him a big hug, witch made Hatori jump slightly. "See? This is a moment were Hatori needs a hug. Am I right Hatori?" Ayame said with a big smile glued to his face rubbing his cheek to Hatori's cheek.
"Ayame- Ok- Please get off of me- Please. I don't mind your hugs when there normal but- your in my space- Ayame!" Ayame ignored Hatori, and continued to rub his cheek against Hatori's. Hatori reached his arm up calmly and patted Ayame's head gently. Hatori gave a small smile hoping this would make the snake let go.
"See my friends? This is what happens when you hug Hatori." Ayame leaned his full body weight on Hatori; By this action Hatori moved his body causing Ayame to fall over. "Ouch…" Ayame said rubbing his shoulder. "Wh- why Hatori?" Ayame said looking sad up at his friend.
Hatori gave a confusing look of how the snake could think that he would want all his body weight leaning heavily oh his own. "I don't want your body weight on mine Ayame. How dense can you really be?" Hatori said disbelievingly. Ayame chuckled still rubbing his shoulder. A nock sounded at the door and a man with blood vials came in. He stopped dead in his tracks looking at Aya who was on the ground. Hatori stood at once, stepping over his loud mouth clumsy friend. "What do you need here?" Hatori said holding out his hand to take the tray.
"Oh- just going to take some blood. Ummmm…" The young male didn't know what to do with Hatori blocking his path to Yuki; and Kisa sitting beside him.
"I am Yuki's doctor. I can take care of this from here. I will leave the blood vials at the desk in front when I am done." Hatori took the tray without any protest from the young nurse. The young nurse nodded nervously as Hatori proceed to get the blood from Yuki. The family were left again alone as Hatori set the tray on Yuki's bedside table. Hatori professionally put on some gloves and gestured for Yuki to bring his IVed arm toward himself. Yuki let Hatori undo the IV fluid that was flowing liquid though his body. Kisa watched amazed of how Hatori worked; Yuki watched calmly as Hatori did what he did best, but when Hatori hooked up the first blood vile- Kisa shrunk back making a nervous sound in the process.
"Hay it's alright Kisa. He's not taking your blood remember." Yuki said looking down at the freighted tiger.
"Does it hurt….?" Kisa ask nervous.
"Nope. It's ok if your afraid. I remember when I was too. It wasn't fun at all, but Hatori was always so nice. Don't tell me he's not nice to you now when you get blood drawn." Yuki said trying to get Kisa to open up and not be afraid.
Kisa was quite for a moment; Then looked up and Yuki then looked at Hatori. Hatori looked up only with his eyes, showing nothing but that he cared for every family member. "Hatori is the best!" Kisa said perking up at once; forgetting Hatori was still drawing Yuki's blood. "Hatori is so patient with me, he's the best doctor ever!" Kisa said happily. The men chuckled as the cute little girl continued to tell what she loved most about Hatori. "The female doctors and nurses are nice at home too, but none compare to Hatori! You always take so much time wanting to know what I've been up to at school and other things I like to do. You spent time off to come check up on me even when I had a small fever. Hatori is the best doctor that ever lived!" Kisa said proudly. Hatori blushed at the many examples that Kisa cared to share so much about.
"Kisa…. I care about you very much, and try to make you comfortable as possible. I don't think I'm as different from any other doctor that has taken care of you. Hatori tilted the last vile of blood and squirted some clean water into the IV to clean the tube. Kisa scooted herself away from Yuki, and carefully moved herself to the other side of the bed were Hatori was; lightly stepping over Yuki's legs and sitting on her knees. She leaned over to her doctor and carefully brushed the hair that was covering his damaged eye. Hatori stood still, eye twitching from habit of people getting to close to it. Kisa leaned over more and kissed Hatori above his left eyebrow.
"But you're my doctor. The kindest doctor I know. And I feel bad that you don't see what I see when I look at you. Your always be my number one doctor- No matter how old I get." Kisa gave Hatori an awkward leaning huge, trying to get close to him as possible. Hatori gently put Yuki's IV down that still held the syringe, and gave Kisa a strong hug, burying his eyes in her shoulder.
Shigure, Yuki, and Ayame stayed silent not wanting to ruin such a beautiful moment. "You know Hatori- you- I always will love you most for your hugs…" Kisa said quietly close to his ear. Hatori still burying his face in her shoulder, let tears soak her shoulder. Kisa knowing this stayed silent rubbing Hatori's back with her little hand. The men in the room knew he was crying, it was hard not to miss; yet the men stayed silent letting Hatori and Kisa have this moment all to themselves.
Hatori held her close letting out small shuddering gasps, trying to keep his crying under control. "You Kisa are very special to me. I know I can always come to you for a hug." Hatori said in a whisper that only Kisa could hear. Yuki only heard hug, but he knew what Hatori was trying to say. They let go and Hatori quickly got Yuki's IV all set up again ready to give him fluid. "Excuse me." Hatori said stepping out of the room taking the vials filled with blood to the counter outside the room.
"You're an amazing girl Kisa. You know that?" Shigure said leaning over with his elbow resting on his knee; so he could rest his hand on his chin.
"Hatori needs to hear stuff like that more- but it means so much when you say it Kisa." Ayame said continuing the little conversation. Kisa then felt a pat on the head from Yuki. She turned to face him and smiled. Yuki looked at Kisa and found her rather blurry. He looked to his brother and Shigure and find they were both rather blurry as well. He rubbed his eyes and shook it away. Twenty minutes passed and Hatori nocked on the door entering wearing his doctors coat.
As Hatori sat down in his chair, Yuki thought it was as good time as ever to tell the dragon that he had a slight dizzy spell; but was Shigure piped up before Yuki could speak. "Kisa here was telling us about a friend she made- I don't know how you want to handle this Ha'ri but it's a boy." Shigure said as he flapped his hand indicating Hatori should act like a crazy dad trying to keep his little girl. Hatori rolled his eye as Shigure was trying to make this into a more adult conversation when It didn't at all need to be.
"Is that wrong Hatori?" Kisa said worriedly.
"No not at all hon, Shigure and Ayame here are only thinking of the worst. Don't pay attention to them." Hatori said glaring at the two animals in disgust.
"What would be the worst?" Kisa said innocently with big eyes looking over at Hatori with her head to cocked to the side.
"You see Kisa there is a time in life when boys become men and-" AHHUGG" Yuki threw the book he was reading from his nightstand at his brother.
"You sicko she doesn't need to worry about that. She's to young for crap like that. Her mother can talk to her about that latter." Yuki also said with discussed with were this talk was going.
"Awwwww your no fun Yuki. She is getting of age herself you know!?" Shigure said overly happy.
"Shigure- when I am able to stand; I am coming for you when your asleep." Yuki said threateningly.
Shigure and Ayame sat with their backs resting up against each other giggling.
"Hatori please tell me. What is going to happen?" Kisa asked again trying to understand. As she said this Shigure and Ayame continued to snicker.
"Yes Hatori, please tell us of this wonder of life! Tell us from the very beginning of when it all happens. I would love to hear from a doctor like yourself!" Ayame said starting to loss more of his dignity."
Hatori sighed and looked at Kisa. Kisa, I will tell you when you are older alright? It would be best if you came to me or your mother if you have questions such as having a guy friend. Perhaps you could ask your mother when you get home, she might wait till your older; and there is nothing wrong with that at all. Trust me- you don't need to know quite yet." Hatori said trying to keep his cool in front of the to morons who couldn't grow up in the slightest.
"You could tell me." Ayame said batting his eyelashes.
"You know Ayame, you need to jump off a cliff and stay on the ground still the birds find you." Yuki said trying not to act out in a way that wouldn't be good for Kisa to see and hear. Ayame knew he was greatly pushing his brother over the edge as well as Hatori.
"You know Shigure I'm still growing."
"LUCKY!" Shigure said loudly hitting Aya's shoulder playfully.
"Wh- what do you mean Ayame?" Kisa said with a look of complete confusion on her face trying her hardest to understand what her older cousins are saying.
"ENOUGH!" Hatori said standing in raged looking at the two completely shocked men. Kisa having not heard Hatori's voice sound so angry frightened her and she panicked and went on the other side of Yuki trying to hide. Hatori seeing this only became more enraged. He by all means would never want to frighten Kisa at all. He grabbed the collars of Ayame and Shigure and dragged them outside away from the door to yell at them.
"You know Kisa…. He wasn't yelling at you, you know." Yuki said understanding how Hatori had scared the young girl.
"I- I know- but- I was part of what-wanting to know and I made him-" Tears started to rise to the surface to soon roll down her cheeks
"Hay now, no tears. No tears at all." Yuki said grabbing a box of tissues and drying her eyes. "Ok here is a lesson here, and I want you to listen closely alright?" Kisa nodded her head not looking up at Yuki. "Alright now, Hatori is a very patient man. Very patient. And Ayame and Shigure were pushing him way over the edge. It was by far not your fault by at any means. And Hatori would be happy to tell you certain things when you get older. I know he is just worried you will find out certain things before the time is right. Your mother, Hatori, and female nurses will help, and talk to you when you need them the most. Plus don't forget I'm here for you as well." Yuki smiled as Kisa's tears had vanished just as soon as they came. "Will Hatori come back in? I don't want to have to leave without saying goodbye… And I want to say good bye to Shigure and Ayame too…." Kisa said in a low voice.
"Oh yes they will be back in soon enough…. Indeed."
Seven minuets latter Hatori came back in with the casted heads of Ayame and Shigure. "Sit." Hatori said pointing at the bed. The two men sat still looking down. Kisa jumped off the bed and ran to Hatori who was still standing, hugged Hatori's leg.
"Thanks for caring for me." Kisa said looking up at her father figure.
Hatori looked down and picked her up. "Of course Kisa." Hatori said holding her close. A nock then sounded at the door and Hatori, still holding Kisa walked to the door, and opened it reviling Kisa's mother.
"Hello Hatori." Kisa's mother said looking at him with a smile.
"Hello." Hatori replied back.
"Well don't you look happy Kisa." Kisa's mother leaned and kissed her daughter's head. Her mother stepped in greeting the other family members. "Hello Shigure, Ayame, and hello Yuki. "How are you feeling?" She asked kindly
"Not to bad. Kisa sure made today worth while, I must say that." Yuki said with some joy in his voice for a change. Kisa's mother turned to her and said.
"Kisa you were in such a hurry to see you Yuki you forgot."
"Forgot what?" Kisa said wondering what her mother was speaking of. Kisa looked at Yuki and remembered. Hatori seeing this set her on the ground and Kisa ran to her mother. "Can I go get it? Can I, can I, can I?" Kisa said worried she would have to leave right away.
"It's outside the door. Here I'll help you." She walked with Kisa outside the door. You can sit down Hatori. Her mother said cheerfully. Hatori sat down watching the mother and daughter talk outside the door. Everyone's eyes widened when Kisa's mother came in with a huge vase with big flowers sticking out from all sides.
Yuki face held complete shock looking at all the flowers. Kisa's mother put them safely on the counter as Kisa came up to the bed with a plate rapped in tinfoil and a gift in the other hand. Kisa's mother lifted her up to the bed so she could give it to Yuki. "Here Yuki. These are for you." She held out the plate first.
"What's this?" Yuki said staring to unwrap the tinfoil. As Yuki opened it, he saw the whole plate was filled to the brim with lemon cookies. Some having frosting and others not. "Oh Kisa- thank you so much. I love lemon cookies." Kisa smiled as she watched Yuki eat one.
"Kisa made them herself. I must say she has a talent of cooking you know." Her mother said proudly.
"I agree completely. You should make some for Tohru and Kyo. They would love some." Yuki said praising Kisa.
"Ok I will!" Kisa getting more inspiration to cook. "Here Yuki- this is also for you." Kisa sad holding out the present. Yuki blushed and put his hand in the bag feeling around the tissue paper. He pulled out two books that was about gardening. The first book was Gardening and Flowers, the other one was How To Get The Most Out Of Your Gardening.
"Oh my gosh thank you both." Yuki exclaimed with surprise. Yuki saw a card and open the envelope and then opened the card, it read-

Yuki looked and saw a gift card the read $50 to the gardening store close in town near the house. Yuki looked up speechless. "I- I don't know what to say…. Th- thank you so much.. yo- You didn't have to-" Yuki was cut off.
Kisa hugged him tight smiling.
"Get well soon so I can come and see all the awesome stuff you planted ok?" Kisa said super happily.
"Alright then I will." Yuki said ruffing Kisa's hair.
"Mom, can I get down and get the others?" Kisa said all excited. Her mother nodded and Kisa slide off the bed running outside of the room to get three other plates of cookies. She sniffed the first plate and smelled chocolate. "Here you go Shigure." She said handing him the plate. Shigure took it and opened it carefully.
"Oh Kisa your too sweet! You know how much I love chocolate! Awwwww come here you little cutie!" Shigure rapped his arms around the small little girl. Kisa smiled as Shigure hugged her, and let her go to give the others there cookies. Kisa then sniffed the next plate.
"This one is for you Hatori." Hatori carefully opened the tinfoil, and to his surprise, found many vanilla cookies.
"Kisa….. how- how did you know I love these.. I never told you I like these did I?" Hatori said truly shocked that she knew his favorite cookie.
"I saw you at the New Years banquet that you ate a lot. So- Yea. Cookies!" Kisa said still very excited.
Ayame let out a loud laugh. "Busted! She saw right through you! How many did you have Ha'ri!?" Ayame said busting up of the image of Hatori stuffing his face with cookies. Hatori's face turned from white to a dark blush red. "Like really how much did you eat?!" Hatori smile at Kisa ignoring Ayame in the corner.
"Thank you Kisa. I will enjoy these very much. He looked over at Ayame who was last to get his cookies, but Kisa wasn't done with her doctor just yet. Kisa put the last plate beside Hatori and gave him a big hug. "Your always be like a daddy to me." Kisa said in her absolute cute voice. Hatori fought back some tears as he embraced the fragile little girl.
"And you will always be like a daughter to me." Hatori said with a small smile holding her in a comfortable embrace.
Kisa then walked over to Ayame and handed him his plate of cookies. Aya gasped when he himself saw mint cookies with white chocolate chips covering all the cookies. "Ohhh Kisa they look amazing… I must ask how you knew that I liked these. I had some cookies at the New Years banquet but-" Ayame looked at the little tiger wondering how she could know.
"Your house." She simply replied.
"His house?" Yuki said perplexed of how that was her reply.
"Yep." Was Kisa's response.
"How could you tell by his house?" Shigure ask curious.
"I was over at his house and he had made some of these cookies early in the morning, and offered me some to take home to mother. Plus Ayame ate like eight or maybe a little more." Ayame blushed slightly and shrugged.
"Hay I don't tell you how to eat." Ayame said to Hatori who was a little shocked, but knew out of all people should keep his mouth shut for a change in the circumstance of the fact everyone knew what happened at the last new year banquet.
"Well thank you Kisa." Ayame leaned over to give her yet another hug.
"I made extra so you guys don't have to give off your own plates." Kisa said feeling truly happy around her family. Kisa's mother bought in the other cookies and put them next to the flowers. Kisa ran to Yuki's bed, and was lifted up by her mother to see Yuki.
"Kisa dear. I am afraid we must be off to finish some chores. Say goodbye to Yuki, Shigure, Ayame, and Hatori." Her mother said kindly.
"Do we have to go mom? Can you come back latter?" Kisa said almost pleading to stay with Yuki and the other Zodiacs.
"Kisa- we have to go. You have been here all day and I'm sure Yuki is tired-" her mother was cut off by Kisa's continued plea to stay.
"But we took a nap. Please mother?" Kisa said with big eyes.
"Well you can if you want. But then we can't go to the place you wanted to go. It's your choice." Her mother said knowing her daughter with give in.
Kisa was silent for a moment thinking, and then she nodded agreeing with her mother to go. "Kisa. It's been a true joy today having you here. I think seeing you and spending some time with you was just what I needed. Thanks for making this one of thee best moments of my life." Yuki said looking into her eyes." Kisa beamed at his words.
"And thank you Yuki. All of you made this day truly wonderful for me to." Yuki shared one last hug before she had to go. Then all of a sudden the Zodiacs watched wide eyed of something they had never witness before. Yuki leaned slightly and kissed Kisa's head with a smile. Kisa smiled as he kissed her head, and his kiss was returned with a kiss on the cheek from the wonderful little Kisa. "Bye Yuki." Kisa said sliding off the bed, and running to the three men.
"Bye Hatori. I'll see you soon right?
"Of course Kisa, I'll see you around." Hatori said with content eyes. Hatori lifted her so one last hug could commence. Kisa leaned and kissed Hatori's forehead. Hatori blushed slightly and returned a kiss to Kisa on the cheek. Kisa then when to Shigure next.
"Can I come spend the night when Yuki and everything at your place is normal again?" Kisa asked hoping Shigure would say yes.
"I don't know at all by normal but yes of course Kisa. We all love it when you come. You and Tohru can make cookies together." Shigure said with his all out happy attitude.
"Ok!" Kisa said full of delight. Shigure gave her a nice big hug giving her a kiss on her cheek as well. Kisa then gave a kiss to Shigure's noise. Shigure took out a random fan from his sleeve and waved it in his face blushing deeply.
Kisa looked up at Ayame all proud. "Don't forget what I told you Ayame. You wont will you?" Kisa ask.
"I could never forget Kisa. Whatever we do I promise to get a picture for you to see." Ayame said showing a tilted side smile.
"I can't wait to see it." Kisa said holding out her arms for one last hug goodbye. At his Ayame scooped her up and swung her in the air, both Animals showing much glee on their faces. Ayame stopped and kissed the very top of her head and sat her down on her two feet back to earth. Kisa moved some of his bangs and kissed close to his right eye.
"Come to my shop soon and we can discuss on making a wonderful dress for you to wear out with your mother." Ayame said wondering when he and Kisa could have some fun bonding time that many wished to do with her.
"Hopefully soon Aya." Kisa's mother said leaning in the doorway. "Come on Kisa, let's give the men a chance to rest shall we?" her mother said trying her hardest to get Kisa away from Yuki so he could get some well need rest.
Kisa skipped to her mother and turned around waving. "Bye guys! Thanks for everything!" and she picked up the bag with the cup that Shigure had saved just for her. "Bye." All the men said as there smiles reflected off of the little tiger and her mother. The door then closed leaving Yuki the privilege of exhaling deeply relaxing into his outlined pillow of his head.
"Had fun Yuki?" Shigure said as he stopped waving his fan all around. Yuki nodded with a sincere small smile, with tired eyes.
"I noticed you didn't feel well at times during her visit. Anything you want to tell me?" Hatori said crossing his arms leaning back.
"I felt a little dizzy and very tired. But that's all. Other than having a little stomach pain I think from the smoothie. I'm not hungry right now so that probably filled me up a lot." Yuki said giving all the information to his doctor.
"Alright good to know. You can go ahead right now take a another nap if you want. We'll be quiet." Hatori said continuing the talk of how Yuki was doing.
"You know Hatori I might take you up on that offer." And with that; Yuki lowered his bed and fluffed his pillow getting all tucked in as Hatori reached up and pulled the blinds down and covered the window with the blackout curtains.
"We'll be in the staff lounge. We'll be back soon alright?" Hatori said in a more quiet voice. Hatori heard a muffled voice from Yuki, then silence. Hatori smiled of how fast Yuki was able to get to sleep. Hatori signaled Shigure and Ayame to come to the door.
Two Hours Latter
Yuki woke up in the dark room in a heated sweat. His whole body was greatly hot, with the covers flung over the side of the bed. Yuki felt very dizzy and couldn't sit up. "Ayame?" Yuki said turning his head to his brothers bed. "Aya?" Yuki said saying his brothers shortened name this time, only to hear nothing from his brother. Yuki seeing his family was not in the room laid still thinking about his nightmare. Yuki then reached his arm over to his bedside feeling for his phone. As his eyes adjusted to the light, he found Hatori's number and waited for Hatori to answer.
"Yuki? Your up- good. Everything ok? You need anything?" Yuki was now panting starting to get more sweaty as he held the phone to his ear.
"Hatori. I don't feel well. I'm over heating- I- I don't feel well at all. I'm all sweaty and I can't sit up." Yuki said almost pleading for Hatori to come back to the room.
"Ok hang tight. We're not far from the room at all. The breathing mask should be by your bed near your phone."
"I don't need it." Was Yuki's panting reply.
"That wasn't a question. Put it on." He herd Hatori say over the phone.
"Fine, fine, fine, I'll do it." Yuki said hanging up his phone. He was surprised that Hatori had left the mask on while he slept. Yuki weakly put the mask over his mouth and breath deeply. Hatori came in, as well has Shigure and Ayame. Hatori turned on the light on, only to be confornted how truly sweaty his younger cousin looked. Ayame and Shigure touched Yuki's arms about to help him up when Ayame let go turning around flapping his hands looking down in discussed.
"Uggg that's disgusting – aggg." Ayame said feeling Yuki's sweat all over his hands.
"Come on Ayame it's not that bad." Shigure said trying to hide how disgusted he was to, but failed to hide it by all means.
"Suck it up you two, you can wash your hands afterward." Hatori said not even putting on gloves to help Yuki sit up."
As Yuki sat there still in a sweat. They saw that the sheets were covered everywhere in his sweat. "What caused this do you know?" Hatori said already knowing what it could be.
"I was having a nightmare again…" Yuki said in a low voice.
"Open." Hatori said holding out a thermometer for Yuki to take. Hatori herd the small beep and read the numbers. "A little high, but it's alright." Hatori said writing down the numbers on Yuki's chart.
"Good to know." Yuki said relaxing finally sitting up.
"What to talk about the nightmare?" Ayame asked kindly.
"NO!" was Yuki's harsh reply. Ayame stepped back holding up his hands showing no intrusion intended.
Hatori called in some people to change Yuki's sheets, and to get his a fresh new gown. As Yuki sat in his bed; and image went through his mind. He saw his brothers pure frightened face as he ran. He reached out his arm trying to reach Yuki- that was till he was struck with a bullet in the chest. He fell down not moving. His hair cover his face as he lay on his side. Yuki snapped out of his vision when he heard his brother voice.
"Yuki- What's wrong?" Ayame's face showed great concern for his younger brother.
"Not important ok?" Yuki said trying to avoid his brother's concerning eyes.
"What's the big deal? I'm here for you. Why can't you tell me what's troubling you if so badly that your still thinking about it?" Ayame said starting to pressure Yuki.
"I told you I don't want to talk about Aya. So stop it." Yuki could feel sweat staring to form around the back of his neck and forehead. Shigure and Hatori let Ayame and Yuki talk and sort out whatever what was bothering Yuki, and Ayame's curiosity so badly.
"I don't believe you." Was Ayame's reply, now standing up walking to Yuki's bedside.
"Ayame-" Yuki was cut off
"Your hiding something. And I don't like it." Ayame said in a sincere voice, showing his brow forming into a frown.
"I told you if it's none of your business- it's none of your business." Yuki's voice became more angry, yet more fearful as well. His eyes not looking up at his brother.
"You know how much of a pain you can be when you can't even-" Ayame was cut off by Yuki's outcry.
"YOU DIED!" was Yuki's outcry. This caused Hatori to look up from his paper, while Shigure swung his head away from the sink, turning his body to the two brothers, stopping himself from getting a drink.
"I-I died?..." Ayame voice becoming very quiet. "H- how-" Ayame asked wondering himself if her really wanted to know.
"You were running toward me and I- I don't know h- how but whoever shot you was from the side, even thought the bullet when straight through your chest-" Yuki hid his face in his hands.
This caused Ayame to slowly reach his hand and place it gently on his brother's shoulder. "Hay, hay now. No tears. No tears at all." Ayame got closer to Yuki and rapped his arms around the slightly shaking body. "I'm here now, and that's what matters. I know it must have been frightening. But forget it now. Shhhhhhh" Ayame spoke softly. Yuki turned his body and rapped his arms around his brother's torso, burying his face in his stomach. "Shhhhhh shhh shhh" Ayame started to stroke his brothers head hopping he wouldn't start to cry. Aya thinking fast of how to make this situation better, thought of the perfect topic while trying to soothe the shaking body hugging him. "You got a gift card to that gardening place in town near Shigure's house right? I bet your going to buy some flowers to help your plants grow right? Or some new tools? I think flowers would be best myself. Ayame said still trying to comport his little brother. Aya looked over at Shigure giving him a concerned, not so sure what to do look, with a pinch of help.
· "Flowers would be nice…." Was Yuki's muffled voice. Ayame smiled at this.
Ayame pulled Yuki away from the hug and looked into his eyes. I like red Hydrangeas myself, do you like them?" Yuki nodded in agreement.
"Hydrangeas are tall plants Ayame. Some daisies or a smaller flowers like poppies would be better." Hatori said getting into the confersation. Ayame turned craning his neck to look at Hatori.
"I meant to be close to the base. Not be exactly next to them." Aya said not trying to look like an idiot in gardening. Ayame then bought over two cookies Kisa had given Yuki. "You look like you could use some happiness." Ayame said handing Yuki the cookies.
"Thank you Aya." Yuki said eating the cookies.
"Yuki." Hatori said interrupting the brotherly moment. "We have some news for you." Hatori said taking off his glasses. Yuki gave a worried look. "Not to worry. It's by all means it's really good news."
"Ohhh that news." Shigure said leaning his body weight on the counter, his arms behind him supporting himself smiling.
"What news?" Yuki said still chewing on a cookie.
"You have been here for almost three weeks now. Even though you do your school work, it's normally not enough to graduate without going to school. But in your circumstances that is not a problem. You have such amazing grades; and so much dedication that the school will let you graduate no matter how long you are here." Hatori said putting the tip of his glasses in his mouth.
"That- that's wonderful news…. Thank you." Yuki said amazed- truly speechless. Yuki looked around the room at the smiling faces. He felt this odd feeling in his chest. His body inside forming into something different. Yuki sighed. Thank you. All of you- thank you." A look of gratitude showed on Yuki's face, his eyes shining pride and fulfillment from his heart.
"We love you Yuki. And would do anything for you." Shigure said standing up straight and walking to Hatori. Shigure nudged him signaling his friend.
"Ayame." Hatori said.
"Wh- wh- what?" Ayame said turning around trying to sound like a rapper. Hatori chuckled.
"Pack up your things and stay at your house for a day or two." Hatori said still showing a light smile from the response Ayame gave him before. Ayame face turned to complete shock at his words.
"But Ha'ri! I-" Aya was cut off.
"But nothing. You need to be home to make the outfits for Yuki's school far. I know how you like to have over time to make sure everything looks just the way you like it; and you are most certainly not going to bring your sewing machine here with all your fabric; not to mention your house with you. Go and have fun doing what you do best. Shigure will stay here with Yuki so I can go back to the main house and take care of some family members."
"Fine…." Ayame said pouting.
"I can't wait to see what you make Aya. I'm sure they will fit our school festivities very nicely." Yuki said encouraging his brother.
"Thank you Yuki. I'll work hard so I can get back to you as soon a possible."
"Alright then." Yuki said taking another bight of his seconded cookie. He himself couldn't wait to see what his brother would come up with, and how much money he was truly making in the process, from the deal he gave to his school. Ayame has a kind heart, that's for sure… Yuki thought to himself enjoying himself, and the cookie he was still slowly eating.
I didn't know Kisa's mothers name so I looked up some names and I thought this worked really well. Please I love nice long reviews!
