Clara ran her fingers over the Doctor's diary, which he had shown her a while ago, in his previous form. As far as she knew, he still wrote in it, but definitely not as frequently as before.

She opened it and skimmed through the pages until she could find something from after he had regenerated, because she hadn't read anything after. Honestly, Clara wasn't sure if he was still okay with her reading it, but she was taking a chance. He was off sleeping, and the TARDIS was keeping her up again, so she was bored and had decided to snoop through the Doctor's mind once again.

She opened it to the last one, which was the only one entered after he had regenerated, and found that it was a poem. Smiling, she started to read it. She knew this new Doctor liked poems, but he had gone as far to write his own.

When the day comes that I hear your voice

I have a special, empowering feeling

Let me always know I cannot forget you

I remember the day you died

Even so it is said I cannot care about you

If a someday, a day in the future

This love could prove true,

I will never leave and continue to love you forever

I don't care how much further this will go

I will let you choose if my dream comes true

I will tell you anything you want to know

I love that I love you

As the Daleks love war

Everyday storms threaten your happiness

I will be by your side

I miss you when you're gone

I forget how hard it was to wait

When I see your happy face

I just want you to be happy

Everything I do is for you.

Clara let her finger drag across the written I love you, and felt her heart squeeze up with joy. He did return her feelings, and he must know she would read his journal at some point. It was directed to her.

The next morning, the Doctor came down the hallway into the kitchen, where he smelled Clara baking soufflés.

Actual non-burnt soufflés. His eyes widened and he hurried into the kitchen, and found her pulling a perfect souffle out of the oven, and he couldn't hid the impressed look that broke out onto his face. She caught sight of him and smiled happily, setting the souffle dish on the stove.

"You did it!" he exclaimed. She nodded and ran over to him, arms outstretched. He closed his arms around her when she embraced him and he picked her up, spinning her around. The Doctor knew this was a special morning, he could just feel it.

He set her down and went to let her go, but she kept holding him tightly, so he hugged her back just a tightly.

"I love you too." she whispered, and he stiffened for a second, widening his eyes before he realized what she'd seen.

He smiled and let her go, looking down at her. She smiled up at him for a second before grabbing the sides of his head and smushing his lips to hers.

Oh yeah, she loved him too, and he was happy.

His love was being proven true.
