A/N: It has been awhile since I have updated and I am sorry. Things have been crazy. Thank you for reading and for the reviews. I am working on another story but instead of Hermione and Draco it is a Hermione and Cedric.

"Hermione there you are! I have been looking all over for you!" Said Neville. "I can not believe that Ron said that he can be so mean sometimes."

"Thank you Neville I am glad that at least one of my friends cares about what happens to me. And he is mean most of the time." She replied.

When they walked into the compartment everyone looked up at them. "Mione why did you run off like that, you do that a lot and I don't get it! Said Ron

"Really Ron she left because you were being a jerk in fact you are a jerk to her a lot and butting into her personal life when it has nothing to do with you! In fact the way that you treat her makes me not want to be your friend and I don't know why she is still friends with you."

Everyone was shocked my Neville's rant. Little shy Neville had actually spoke up against his friends and he was defending someone on top of it.

"Ron, Harry close your mouths you look like fish trying to catch flies and Neville is right. I have already told you that you need to stop prying into my personal life. If I want to tell you something I will. You do not see me asking you and Harry personal things about your family. So please stop and also you guys need to stop asking me to do your homework. I am not going to do it."She said.

They all talked about their vacations and what they did. Hermione of course left certain things out about hers. She told them how on Christmas morning her Aunt had surprised them and that she spent time playing in the backyard and playing boardgames with her cousins. Thankfully no one asked the names of her family members.

Before they knew it their first year of Hogwarts was over. It had been a long hard year but they all survived and were thankful for that. After Christmas vacation after Hermione and Neville had given their little speeches to Ron he stopped butting into her life most of the time. Every now and then he would ask a question and either Hermione, Neville, or Harry would give him a look and he would immediately say he was sorry.

"Mione do you have any plans for summer vacation?" Asked Harry. They were all sitting out by the lake they had about an hour before the train would be leaving. Of course they were not the only ones sitting by the lake. A group of snakes was sitting a little ways down from them and shockingly they were ignoring each other.

"I don't know I think my parents have some plans with the family but they haven't told me what they are."she replied. "I am so excited I get to see my family but I will miss you guys."

"We will miss you too! I really wish that I did not have to go back to my aunt and uncles house. They don't want me". said Harry.

Hermione heard him but at the same time she didn't as soon as she had said that she would miss them she heard a voice. "You will not miss them in fact I know that you will barley think about them!" She looked over to the other group by the lake and saw the famous Malfoy smirk looking back at her. She shook her head and replied to Harry.

"Harry I know that how they treat you and I wish that their was something that we could do for you, but just try and not to do anything that makes them mad and I know that is hard. But at this moment it is the only choice you have."

"You are right Mione and it does not help that my cousin lies about things just to get me in trouble. I guess a plus is that they don't hit me they just lock me in my room without any dinner. It could be much worse. And their are times that I look at my aunt and she has this look on her face that I can not explain like she feels bad for me. I think even though her and my mom drifted apart that she wishes she could have done something." Said Harry

"Harry I am sure that she does miss your mom even if you are not close to someone when you lose apart of your family it hurts and in your aunts case I am sure she is feeling a lot of regret and that she is also afraid of your Uncle. I bet that if he was not in the picture that things would be different. Maybe one of these days if you and your aunt are alone you could ask her about your mom I am sure she would love to talk about her if not well you tried." Said Hermione.

As they boarded the train Harry could not help but think about what his aunt would do or say if he asked about his mother. Most of the time she would say mean things about her and call her a freak but then their would be the looks that she would give him or when his uncle and cousin were gone she would actually say something nice about her sister. He was going to try like Hermione had said.

When they got off the train Ron once again dragged them over to his family, but that was after she spotted Lucius and Narcissa. Just like Christmas break they both smiled at her as if saying hello and they were both so good at it that no one noticed.

"Oh Harry, Hermione how are you?" Mrs. Weasley asked hugging the three of them.

"Good Mrs. Weasley Thank you for asking. How are you?"

"I am good Hermione thank you. I want you to know that you are welcome at our house anytime."

"Thanks Mrs. Weasley. I better go and find my parents. Ron and Harry I will write to you guys."

With that Hermione left through the barrier smiling. A whole summer away from the two of them and Draco was right she really would not miss them but she would have to write them at least once to keep up the whole act.
