As usual Harry and Ron were asking to many questions and complaining abut Draco. The Chamber of Secrets had been opened and everyone had their suspicions as to who it was. Harry insisted that Draco was behind it Hermione of course knew that was not true and disagreed with him.

Somehow at least once a week she and Draco would get detention the latest reason was they were dueling in the hallway of course had anyone been really paying attention like Snape was they would see that they were both missing each other and hitting the wall behind them, Also that the curses were none that could cause harm, but everyone was so focused on the fact that it was Hermione and Draco they weren't paying attention to what was being said.

"Miss Granger and Mr Malfoy you both have detention tonight in which I was be make sure that neither of you have wands. Fighting in the hallways in not acceptable. Now everyone get in the classroom!" Professor Snape held open the door as everyone walked in the last two of course were Hermione and Draco.

That night Harry and Ron were freaking out like usual.

"Hermione you can't go!" yelled Ron

"Yeah I don't think you should be alone with Snape and Malfoy it could be dangerous I think they bth have something to do with the Chamber being opened and with you being a Muggleborn..."said harry

"Oh give it up you two nothing is going to happen to me yes Professor Snape maybe a little mean to me but as a teacher he would never allow harm to come to a student! And besides I don't have a choice and I am sick of hearing how you think they have something to do with the Chamber Harry you have no facts on that so stop accusing Snape and Malfoy on everything bad that happens around here!"

With that she walked out of the Common room and down the dungeons with a smile on her face. It was going to nice to get away from them and their constant complaining and questions. Merlin how she disliked them. As she got to Professor Snapes classroom she could feel the wards surrounding it. She knew that not many people would notice them not even all Purebloods would but growing up with wards all around her she knew them.

She and Draco spent the hour playing games and laughing with each other for just a bit she was not Hermione Granger but Adrianna Lane. As she was leaving Snape took her hand and put a piece of paper in it he had charmed it to look like her writing he also gave her a mirror. Even though she really was a Pureblood everyone thought she was a Muggle and therefore a target for what was in the chamber. As she was walking back she got petrified.

Later that night after Harry and Ron had left Snape was there with Draco and Dumbledore silencing charms along with a few others had been put up so that they would not be interrupted.

"It is almost like she is dead Uncle Sev. I don't know that I can be here. I want to but..." Draco said as tears fell down his face.

He knew that she was going to be OK but it didn't help he couldn't talk to her for the first time in his life and he didn't know how long it was going to be until he could.

"I know Draco it is hard for me too but it will all be okay, soon she will back to being herself."

"Severus is right Draco she will be okay soon and here I am giving this too you be careful and use it wisely as I know all that goes on in this Castle something I think Mr. Potter does not realize."

Dumbledore handed Draco an Inadvisability cloak as he knew that he would want to come and visit her but it would be dangerous for him to get caught.

"Thank you Professor"

Draco kissed her on the cheek and threw on the cloak it was after curfew and he also had a feeling that Potter and Weasley were around somewhere.

The next night Harry found the note in her hand and he and went into the Chamber. Where they found what was going on and how it had happened. As he was down there he thought about how maybe Hermione was right that Draco really didn't have anything to do with it but Lucius did.

Thankfully Lucius was a very good actor and could act as if he knew nothing when Harry gave him the Diary and he hated being mean to Dobby for some reason Dobby was the difficult Elf all the others believed them when they said it was all an act except for him he was very disobedient.

The first thing that Hermione did when she woke up in the Hospital wing was touch her ring.

"Dash I am awake and okay!"

"Roo! I wish I could hug you right now do you know how scared I been?"

"I wish I could hug you too! Love you!"

"Love you too Roo!"
