I wish I owned Harry Potter… But not everything happens as we want it to, does it?
Please review and tell me what you think of this chapter.
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy were travelling together to Hogwarts in a carriage.
No one would ever believe that. But still, it was true. They were laughing and joking all the way. Of course, according to their 'DEAL', they did have conflicts. For example –
They were discussing Quidditch.
"Tell me Potter, are you planning on becoming a professional Quidditch player after you graduate?" Malfoy asked.
"I don't think so Malfoy. What makes you ask so?"
"Too bad. I had a little piece of advice for The-Boy-Who-Lived."
"Would you mind telling us what your wonderful piece of advice is?" Harry asked. Now all the occupants of the carriage were staring at him, waiting to listen to his wonderful piece of advice.
"Very well then. I just wanted to tell you that you wouldn't last a minute on the Quidditch pitch so you'd better give up on the idea and pick a better profession."
"Wow. Thanks Malfoy. I'll keep that in mind." Harry said sarcastically.
"You're welcome."
"Do you plan to play Quidditch Malfoy?" Ginny asked.
"Of course I do. I'm planning on organizing Quidditch tryouts a day or two after settling down at Hogwarts."
"I meant, are you interested in playing Quiddtch as a profession once you have graduated?" Ginny asked once again exasperatedly.
"You should have asked properly Weaslette." Malfoy said.
"I beg your pardon Malfoy." Ginny said.
"You are pardoned. What was your question?"
"Will you just shut up and answer it Malfoy?"
"How can a person shut up and speak? You are so like your brother Red."
"Malfoy.." Ron growled.
"Yes Weasley?" Malfoy asked calmly.
Ron was now very close to blowing up. "Leave it Ron." Hermione said.
"Fine."
"Do you need your girlfriend to calm you down? Can't do anything on your own? How pathetic."
Hermione poked Malfoy in the chest. "I." *poke* "am" *poke* "not" *poke* "his" *poke* "girl" *poke* "friend." *two pokes*.
"Yeah. She's like a sister to me." Ron retorted angrily.
"Oh! You two hurt me." Malfoy said, clutching his heart.
"Shut up Malfoy. We would all very much appreciate it if you would keep your big mouth shut." Hermione said.
"You told me to shut up twice Granger." Malfoy noted.
"Can't you just do what she said?" Harry said. "We're getting tired."
"The Chosen One is tired! I'm sorry Potter for tiring you."
"SHUT UP!" this was said by all except Malfoy.
He was suddenly taken aback. "Okay, okay. You should have told me that before. Could have said it a bit politely. These Gryffindors…"
He continued to rant while the others got down to talking. Malfoy felt left out and he too, joined in.
They continued to laugh and talk until they reached Hogwarts. As they walked through the corridors they remembered memories. "Hermione do you remember chasing me and Ron through this corridor in our first year?" Harry asked.
"Of course I remember. How could I ever forget? It was fun. And you should have said 'Ron and me.'"
"Mistakes happen." Harry grinned.
"Yeah. Those were wonderful times." Ron said.
"Why was she chasing you?" Malfoy wondered.
"Oh that. It was nothing." Ron said.
"Yeah. Let's say we were just playing." Harry said.
"Stop trying to cover it up you two." Hermione laughed.
"Can you enlighten me on why you were chasing them Granger?" Malfoy asked.
"They had not done their Potions homework," Hermione began.
"But you had." Malfoy interrupted.
"Shut up and let me speak Malfoy."
"Why is everyone telling me to shut up?"
"As I was saying, they had not done their homework and so they asked me to give my homework so that they could copy it."
"So we simply stole her homework and ran away. She came after us to have her homework back." Ron finished.
"Shame on you Potter and Weasley. Couldn't complete your homework on your own. Stealing poor Granger's homework. Shame on you." Malfoy said. They began to retort while another voice came from behind.
"Yeah. Poor Granger."
They all turned around to see Blaise Zabini. "Hello Blaise!" Malfoy said and hugged his best friend. They both began to chat. The others stared at them. "I think we should go." Hermione said. "Yeah come on." Ron said.
"Hey wait!" "Yeah wait!" two voices shouted.
They once again turned around to see Blaise Zabini and Pansy Parkinson. "We'd like to apologize." Pansy said. "You too?" Hermione asked shocked.
"Yes. We had been working for Voldemort unwillingly. We never wanted to work for that bastard. Believe me." Pansy said.
"We had to do so for the safety of our families. He threatened us that if we go to Dumbledore for help, then our parents would be killed. There were even times when we were put under the Imperius curse" Blaise spoke up.
"We never threw insults at you guys willingly. We're very sorry." Malfoy said.
"We would love it if you would be friends with us." Pansy said, extending her hand.
Hermione was touched by this gesture. She took Pansy's hand of friendship. "Of course. We'd love to be friends with you." she said. "Harry, Ron, Ginny?" she looked at the others.
"We'll certainly be friends with you." Harry said, nodding all the while.
"Yeah. Sure." Ron and Ginny said.
"Thank you." Blaise and Pansy said together. They seemed genuinely happy. "Come on. Let's go inside."
They entered the Great Hall and found the usual decorations. Draco, Blaise and Pansy said good bye to them and went over to the Slytherin table. The others went and sat down at the Gryffindor table. The Sorting Ceremony begun.
After the Sorting Ceremony, Dumbledore stood up and started to give his speech. It was the usual speech about the Forbidden Forest and stuff. But there was one thing that caught everyone's attention. "Tomorrow, for breakfast, the students will sit with all the Houses. We will call out your names and you will sit at the table assigned to you. And now, our Head Girl for this year is Hermione Granger. Please stand." Hermione stood up. A huge round of applause greeted her. "Damn. She's Head Girl!" Malfoy cursed. "Thank you all." Dumbledore continued. "Our Head Boy for this year is" Hermione couldn't wait now. "Draco Malfoy." Hermione was dumbfounded. "Him!" she thought. "Gone are my dreams of working with the Head Boy." Draco stood up. He was also greeted with cheers, most of them coming from the Slytherin table. "I request them to meet me in my office after the feast." Dumbledore said. "Let the feast begin!" As he waved his hand, a huge array of food appeared before them. As usual, Ron stuffed himself.
Meanwhile, Hermione looked over at the Slytherin table. Her eyes were met with a pair of grey, stormy ones.
"I'm doomed." Both Draco and Hermione thought at the same time.
Poor Draco and Hermione! Please Read and Review!
