Harry smirked like a true Slytherin. "We have the Inner Eye or very sharp ears." He winked and followed Ginny outside.

"Oh Gods!" Draco and Hermione said together, and laughed at it as well.

"I think we're being good friends enough." Draco said. "What do you think?"

"Very true. " Hermione said, smiling to her fullest extent.

They walked on to Dumbledore's office in a merry spirit. But as they neared it, all the merriness died away, and was replaced by a different sort of feeling. They reached the gargoyle, gave the password and got to Dumbledore's door. Draco and Hermione were at the front, but none took the initiative to knock.

"I'm not standing here all day, if that's what you want!" Blaise complained indignantly.

"Shut it, Blaise!" Draco said.

"Whoa! Easy, easy, prophecy boy!" he said, making everyone snort with laughter.

Few more minutes passed, and they were still standing in front of the door.

"For Salazar's sake!" Pansy said, smacking her forehead with her hand. She pushed everyone out of her way and gave the door a sharp tap.

"Come in." the half-dreamy voice of Dumbledore said.

They trooped into his office, staring at all the weird artefacts.

"I was wondering when you would knock." Dumbledore said, his eyes twinkling at them. "What is the matter?"

"We um…." Hermione began, unable to go on. Her cheeks turned a bright red when she realized that they had to explain to him all that had happened.

Draco, coming to the same realization, took over for her. "Sir, actually, we're here to talk to you about this prophecy thing."

"What is the matter my boy?" Dumbledore asked, the twinkling of his eyes going to a brighter level.

"We….sort of, had a fight in Potions class today, and I suppose I spoke too much and revealed everything about the prophecy." Draco said, embarrassed a little that he had let his tongue get the better of him.

"Indeed. Severus was in here a little while ago, telling me all about it." Dumbledore said, apparently amused by the situation.

"Anyways, Hermione got mad at me and rushed off crying." Draco went on. At this point, Hermione glared at him. "What?" Draco asked. "That's what happened, isn't it?" he said. Hermione huffed and folded her hands.

"Go on, Mr. Malfoy." Dumbledore insisted.

"Then I apologized to her and asked her to take a walk with me around the school, just to clear things up. Then she admitted that she likes me and, I…. I also… -"

"He also said the same professor." Hermione spoke.

"Hey!" Draco exclaimed.

"What?" Hermione asked.

"I said I like you! I didn't say I liked myself!"

"Oh don't be so stupid for Godric's sake!"

"But I-"

"Miss Granger, Mr. Malfoy, do you mind if we go on?" Dumbledore asked.

"O-of course. Sorry." Hermione said, turning redder than ever.

"Ok. So we both accepted that we like each other, and all that. Then I bloody walked off and went into a freaking broom cupboard, I don't know why, and then when Granger came walking around, I pulled her into the freaking cupboard and sort of…. Uh… kissed her, and I don't why I bloody did that." He said, finishing hurriedly. "And she also admitted that she had wanted to kiss me back!" he added, forgetting it earlier.

"I see." Dumbledore mused. "And?" he asked.

"You're kinda missing the point!" Draco yelled, waving his arms about. "You see, I don't know why I did all that stuff!" he explained.

"And professor," Hermione spoke timidly. "We… kind of had the same dream a few days ago, and it was exactly what happened today in the broom cupboard, if you know what I mean."

"Aha!" Dumbledore said, once again seeming entirely amused by the situation. "It is, of course, partly because of the prophecy!" he said.

"We figured that out." Hermione said. "But isn't there anything to stop these feelings we're having due to the - Wait, what do you mean, partly because of the prophecy?" she asked, puzzled by his answer.

"I mean, the prophecy definitely had a part to play in all of this. But it wasn't just the prophecy."

"Please professor!" Draco said, exasperated by Dumbledore's reaction. "Explain what you just said!"

"Of course, Mr. Malfoy." Dumbledore nodded. "Your walking into a broom cupboard was because of the prophecy, your kissing Miss Granger was because of the prophecy, and Miss Granger wanting to kiss you back was also because of the prophecy." He said, and smiled. "But pay close attention to what I just said! You, Mr. Malfoy, kissed Miss Granger because of the prophecy, and she kissed you back for the same reason. The initiative, here, to kiss, that was taken by Mr. Malfoy, was taken by the prophecy, and the decision to kiss you back was made by Miss Granger, actually by the prophecy, if you understand what I mean. But! Who continued it? The kiss, I mean," he said, looking at them, his eyes moving rapidly from Draco to Hermione.

"I- I don't understand…" Hermione said, very puzzled.

"What I am trying to say here Miss Granger," Dumbledore started again, that irritating twinkle in his eye growing in size, "is that the decisions to do this were taken by the prophecy. But who carried it out? You." he said.

"You mean to say that…." Hermione trailed off, taken aback at the realization.

"What the heck is going here?" Draco yelled, frustrated with everything. "Will anyone please explain to me what the bloody hell all of this nonsense means?!"

At this moment, Dumbledore chose to speak. "Yes Miss Granger." He said. "In simple words, Mr. Malfoy, the prophecy only started the kiss, but you two continued it out of your own pure will."

"Huh?" Draco blinked and shook his head, stumped by the point.

Dumbledore sighed. "You two continued the kiss, with your own feelings acting out in the open."

"You're saying," Hermione began, a hint of anger and surprise in her voice. "that we actually like each other!?" Her realization had been right, but somehow, she found herself unable to believe it.

Dumbledore simply nodded. Draco could possibly turn no paler. "Yes." He said. "Trust me, and take my advice, you two. There is no point in fighting this prophecy. You are destined to be together, no matter what happens. But!" he continued, raising a finger. "it doesn't mean that you are not compatible with each other. Prophecies in the wizarding world are not simply made. The prophecy will take little initiatives to get you together, but in the end, it is just you. You are, The Destined Match." He concluded, smiling at the both of them.

The conclusion left everyone dumbfounded. Draco and Hermione stared at each other for what felt like an eternity.

"Oh.. okay…" Hermione said slowly. "We should go, I think."

Dumbledore nodded. "Just remember what I said. Both of you." he smiled and gestured towards the door.

They walked out and went through the corridors in silence. The silence prevailed until they reached the dorm. As the door closed behind them, Hermione turned to Draco and said, "We need to talk."

"Would you like us to go?" Blaise asked.

"Oh drop it," Draco said. "You're going to eavesdrop anyway, so what's the point?"

"You know what? You're right." Ron said, and settled down on the couch with a plate of cookies, ready for the show.

Draco smirked, then turned to Hermione. "Go on Granger." He said. Hermione positively glared at him.

"Oh! So now it's back to Gr –"

"No no! It's just that I like your last name more than your first name." Draco said, justifying his words.

"Yeah. But he likes her more than any of her names!" Theo said, making everyone laugh.

"Poor boy, Draco," Harry said. "He likes her last name very much, but sometime in future, it will change! Poor Draco! Whose last name will he like more then? His or hers?" Harry shook his head.

"He can't decide!" Blaise joined in. "They'll both be the same!"

"Draco," Hermione said, deciding to ignore the jokers, her voice taking on a softer note. "I think Dumbledore's right. I think we should give this a go. Give us a go." She said, looking right into his eyes as she did.

Draco nodded. "We should." He said, and smiled softly.

"Alright then," Hermione said, satisfied with his answer. "I'm going to go get started on my homework, and don't forget everyone! We have a detention with Snape tonight!"

Everyone groaned.

"Damn!"

"Snivellus!"

As Hermione headed up the stairs, Blaise yelled after her.

"Hey Mrs. Malfoy! Could you please help me with my homework?"

"Blaise! I will positively kill you!" Hermione shouted back, running down the stairs, ready to strangle him.

Just before she could reach him, Draco caught her by her shoulders. "Easy, easy, love!" he said. "We do need a joker uncle for our children, now don't we?" he asked her.

Hermione, as expected, blushed a shade harder and started hitting Draco.

"You sneaky, slytherinish, stupid, dumbass,…." Hermione's list was endless.

"Merlin woman!" Draco yelled trying to run away from her. "That hurts you know! Do you forget that you're a witch!? You have a bloody wand! Try and use it before you try to beat someone to a pulp with those hands of yours!"

Hermione, meanwhile, payed no attention to him and continued hitting him, her list continuing as well. "Bastard, idiotic, interesting, handsome, sweet, cute-" and that was the end.

Draco displayed the all-time classic Malfoy smirk as she stopped hitting him.

"Forgive me, but what were you saying?" he asked.

"I… I- nothing. Nothing at all." Hermione defended.

"Please Hermione." he said, emphasizing her first name.

"I was just scolding you." she said, putting on a brave exterior.

"Oh!" Draco said. "But I must insist that I heard something along the lines of interesting, handsome, sweet, cute, hot, intelligent, muscular, -"

"I didn't say all of that!" Hermione said indignantly.

"So you did say something of that!"

"I… Yes. I did." Hermione said, jutting out her chin.

Draco came closer to her, his mouth near her ear, his breath caressing her as he spoke. "So you think I'm interesting, handsome, sweet and cute?" he whispered, making Hermione shudder under the feeling. He came near to her, so near that Hermione almost thought he would kiss her. But he pulled away at the last moment, when his lips were less than a centimeter away from her cheek, leaving Hermione breathing rapidly and unevenly.

"If it's the matter of wooing a girl, I would always say the Malfoys are the best." Blaise commented. "It's the same with Lucius as well."

Draco smirked. "Thank you for that compliment Blaise, my boy." Then he turned to Hermione. "You haven't answered my question yet." He said.

"I… I do Draco." Hermione said, looking him in the eyes. She then walked to her room and shut the door behind her, not before smiling softly and blushing at Draco who was standing at the foot of the stairs.

Everyone laughed and went about their business, to try and get most of their homework completed before their detention with Snape.

Blaise came up and put his hand on Draco's shoulder.

"I told you it'll be alright." he said.

Draco smiled at his friend. "Thanks mate." He said. "I don't know what I would without you."

"WHAT ABOUT US!?"

Draco turned to see Theo, Harry and Ron(his mouth stuffed with 4 cookies) glaring at him incredulously. "Oh come on!" Draco said, laughing. "How could I leave you!?"

They gave each other a pat on their shoulders, and went up to Harry's room to try and complete their Transfiguration essay.

Everything was going well, and that was the way it had to be.

glazedwater – Thanks a Lot! Thank u for being a great support!

Guest – You flatter me! And you know, I also wish I could update more, but my schedule always keeps me busy! Thank you very much!

Guest(review for chapter 17) – Narcissa and Lucius wanted to apologize to Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny, that's why they were invited for tea. And it would be rude not to invite Theo, Pansy and Blaise as they lived with them. They were already acquainted with Daphne, and had no specific reason to invite her. Thanks for reading & reviewing!

Again, my same old promise. I will try to update soon. But I think I will be able to keep my promise this time! I'm a little freer and I might just be able to update more frequently!

Thank you to all my readers, I LOVE YOU!

Bye bye!
