12. Chapter 12 THE TRUTH

chris walks around the command base to different computers checking all the readings as an alarm blares

"theres no monster attacks so what the hell is this alarm for" he says hittng the consol "damn it shut up" he picks up a blaster from the computer console and shoots the alarm "much better"

the other rangers walk in and look at the hole were the alarm used to be

"wow you really need to work on your anger " tori tells him

"well you try listaning to an alrm with no attack" he tells her

he looks back at the screens of downtown angel grove when he sees a wormhole and the black queen looking younger standing infront of it

"i no your watching me gold ranger now get down here so we can have a little chat" she says

"how can she know i can see her and why does she want to talk not fight" he says grabbing his jacket

"your not going down there" tommy asks "it could be a trap"

"i no but why isent she attacking tommy maybe she does just want to talk" he says prepareing to teleport "if i get into trouble get down there and help me" he presses a button on his morpher and teleports to the black queen "you got me here so now what do you want"

she smiles "its been a while chris come with me" she says turning to walk into the wormhole"

"were does that lead"

she smiles "the future of course dont you want to see how this all ends"

"how can you be from the future when you look younger than ive ever seen you" he asks slowley walking towards the hole

"come with me and youll find out if you hurry and dont miss it" she steps through dissapearing

chris hesitates and brings his morpher to his mouth "selphitia were does this wormhole lead"

"roughly 18 months into our future" she says

"18 months follow my vitals any change you guys follow me through ok"

"ok"

chris steps through and on the otherside he sees the destruction of angel grove he sees the clack queen and walks up to her "what happend here"

"the final battle come with me"

they walk through the ruins to where the command base is and find it in ruins "what am i suposed to be looking at "

"just watch"

chris looks and sees himself standing on whats left of the roof and opens a wormhole holding the delta crystal in his hand

"the times comeing i only hope that this time i wont fail " he says as he throws the crystal into the portal "good luck" he says collapsing as the wormhole closes

chris and the black queen walk over to where the other chris collapsed " so i die"

"no chris just watch"

chris looks down at himself and watches as his body morphs changing into the dark master

"this is your destiny chris and the destiny of all the rangers" she says walking away with chris back to the wormhole

"if im him and hes me why is he so determined to kill me "

"to stop this ever happening he cant remember the only true way to stop himself but he knows if you die the darkmaster will never be created"

"but how does this happen to me"

"the crystal turns you when you try to use all of the power to stop him but there is a way though"

"how"

"you will learn soon enough i cant compremise the future anymore than i allready have"

"where is my team and why do you look so young"

"your team and all of the rangers will become all of the villans and genrals they have ever faced" they get back to the wormhole "now you must get back before the portal closes"

chris nods "thank you for showing me this"

she nods as chris walks back through and the portal closes as a tear slides from the black queens eye" good luck my love"
