Chapter 21
A/N: Sorry for the delay life kinda got in the way. I will be post a little more now but might slow down to once a week. I know this chapter is short but I wanted to get something out to you all as quickly as I could. So here is a little preview of what is to come in the near future. Hope you like it. "Moms we are home." Brandon shouts from the door as Callie fallows him and Sarah in the house.
"Hey sweets I see you found what you were looking for." Stef says.
"Yeah were is he?" Callie asks.
"At the park with Jesus and Conner. Mariana and Lexi are there as well." Lena says coming up behind Stef.
"Good I am going to go put these in my room till his birthday next weekend." Brandon says as he heads up the stairs.
"Stef, Lena this is Sarah. Sarah these our the moms u heard brandon talking about." Callie says as she points to each of them as she says their name.
"Hello nice to meet you, and thanks for letting me come over for dinner." Sarah says.
"You're very welcome. It's nice to meet you as well." Lena says.
"Yeah it is nice to meet you." Stef says.
"You have a nice home." Sarah tells them.
"Thanks." Both Lena and Stef says.
"Sarah would you like something to drink?" Callie asks.
"Water would be good." She says.
"Follow me and I will get you some." Lena tells her as she heads for the kitchen.
As Callie goes to follow them Stef stops her by touching her arm. She motions for Callie to wait till Lena and Sarah have made it to the kitchen before she talks.
"What gives?" Stef asks.
"Not sure, she seems to be struggling with something. So we figured we would bring her to dinner and maybe try to get her to open up to one of us." Callie says.
"Ok lets hope you are right." Stef says.
They spend the evening eating and talking, mostly about Sarah and Callie's time in the foster system. Stef and Lena noting how very different their experiences are. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they both stayed at the Olmsted's and that both of had been involved with Liam. Though one was forced the other had given in freely.
"So Brandon, Callie I do believe that dish duty is all yours tonight." Stef says.
"Ok." They say in unison. As they gather the dishes and start to clean them off and load the dish washer.
"Sarah care to join us in the living room till they get done?" Stef asks.
"Sorry babe you two will be on your own I need to do a little work." Lena tells them.
"Ok sweets, Sarah?" Stef says as she kisses Lena as Lean moves in the direction of the office.
"Sure." Sarah says as they move into the living room.
"So how is the new foster home treating you?" Stef asks.
"Good actually, real good." Sarah says.
"That is good to hear Sarah." Stef says
"Thanks to Callie." Sarah says,
"Yeah that young lady is something else. With all she has been through and all that has benn done to her. Well lets just say it would be understandable if she was bitter and a different type of person. But instead she has turned it into a life lesson of how she doesn't want to be. She took a huge risk and paid a heavy price to get you into a safe home." Stef says.
"I don't know exactly what she did." Sarah says.
"She tried going to court to get him to face the justice he deserved. She was why they removed you from their home, and got you away from Liam. In his anger he came after her with the help of a couple of his friends. He shot both me and Callie. One of the bullets hit her in the head. She lost her short term memories for a time. I honestly wondered if she would ever get them back. Brandon was a mess during that time as she didn't remember them being together. It was a rough time for us all." Stef says looking of into space remembering not to long ago.
"Do you think there is more to her wanting to be friends?" Brandon asks.
"I do. I think it has to do with Liam." Callie says.
"Callie if he tries to hurt you again I will kill him." Brandon says.
"Hey, he is going to. Calm down for me please." Callie says as she wraps her arms around his neck and gentle kisses him on the lips.
"Sorry, I just can't face possible losing you again. The last time was like hell on earth." Brandon says as he kisses her again.
"I know and I am sorry for that. I wish it had never happened. But if it helps even when I couldn't remember you I felt this pull towards you. It was like something was trying to let me know where I belonged." Callie smiles at him.
"And where is that miss Jacobs?" Brandon asks.
"Right here in your arms Mister Foster." Callie says looking him in the eyes.
Brandon stares at her for a few seconds watching the tears build up in her eyes. He knows she has a lot of guilt over the time they spent apart thinking it was her fault. He had never blamed her for that time knowing it was Liam's fault for shooting her.
"You Callie." He kisses the tip of her nose. "Are beyond a shadow of a doubt." He kisses her left cheek. "The most amazing." He then kisses her right cheek. "Woman I have ever known." He finish by kissing her full on the lips as her tears fall down her face.
