Okay I'm very sorry for any readers that I haven't updated this. I was going to… but it slipped my mind with all the stuff I have going on! I'll try to update at least monthly from now on, though!

Harry Potter isn't mine ^^ Now I'll conclude last chapter and then…

The mediwizard's stern mouth turned up just slightly. He put his hand in his pocket and then pulled out a handkerchief. He waved his wand casually and then the handkerchief warped and thinned and then transformed. It turned black and adopted a hard, shiny surface. Glass lenses grew into thin wire frames. And then, in the hand of the mediwizard, were a pair of glasses; they were not unlike those of the legendary Harry Potter, although the frame rims were much bigger.

"Put them on your eyes, and they'll adjust," he held them out to Scorpius, who picked them up gingerly. Scorpius was still in awe at the advanced transfiguration as he raised the glasses apprehensively and slid them onto his face. The lenses automatically whirred and his vision became clearer than ever before. He could see the cracks in the wall and the details on the quidditch posters! The fine gold threads in the red uniforms hanging on the hooks of the lockers! It was pretty incredible. He gaped in wonder, but then remembered something.

"Um.. I don't have enough—" he was cut off.

"Don't even worry about it. It's no big deal, and besides, my dad owes so much to your dad. He probably wouldn't be here today without him and really respects him," the mediwizard smiled a crooked smile and stood up, straightening his professional robes. He waved his wand to collect his things, and then exited the room with a wave.

Scorpius couldn't believe it. Somebody actually didn't hate his family or his father? Nobody had ever said that to him before! Well.. excepting his mom and Nana Cissa. He quickly put his hair back down and left the locker room, knowing that he had to catch up with the rest of the class. As he made his way towards the other students, who were lined up on the side of the quid ditch pitch, he passed by two young assistant teachers, who had arbitrarily decided to come and visit the pitch at this time.

"Did you see him?!" squealed one, who beamed at her colleague.

"Of course I did! Not only the most brilliant student in Hogwarts History, but the top student in his year at Oxford Wizarding University with a major in Healing and a minor in Mechanical Magics!" gushed the other, glancing appreciatively at the mediwizard, who was talking to the gym professor.

"Ooh! Not to mention totally handsome and a fellow at St. Mungo's! I heard he requested to come back and conduct physicals so he could visit. We're so lucky!"

"Samuel Goyle… he is too amazing…" they sighed in unison, dreamily and happily. Scorpius frowned. He had never heard the name Goyle before (granted, he didn't really keep up with things)… He wondered why the man thought highly of his father. Not that he didn't love his dad! But he always had felt ostracized and hated for his father's actions as a child. It was peculiar, but it wouldn't do to look into it. It wasn't his nature and it was simpler to mind his own business. Scorpius pushed thoughts of Goyle out of his head and quickly found a place at the end of the line… Only to be joined by Rose Weasley. So I guess today will not be normal, he thought with a pessimistic groan.

That night…

Somewhere in the castle, Quinn Yaxley was in the library, pouring over math problems. He had surprised himself by choosing WestWing, but he certainly wasn't going to let Rose-bloody-Weasley beat him at any subject! And NO! She wasn't the reason he had made the switch!.. Okay, well maybe. But he also was interested in engineering! For real! His mum's dad was a muggle engineer from America, and… well, the long story short was that he didn't pick WestWing just to share classes with Rose Weasley… to tease her and see her all the time…

Somewhere in the castle, TJ Lee was glaring at his roommates, who had just plastered a gigantic enchanted poster of muggle pop star Tiffany Tory to the walls. "She's so fit!" "What an arse!" "Bloody hell, she is gorgeous!" they cheered and wolf-whistled as they admired the new poster, courtesy of John Jacoby. He gritted his teeth and focused his glare on the smiling girl, who waved and winked at him. Sullenly hunching his shoulders and feeling an odd urge to kill all of his dormmates, he rolled over in his four-poster and fell asleep.

Somewhere in the castle, Dan Danners was looking at his reflection in the mirror. I'm so short, he frowned. Short, skinny despite his black belt in judo, overall un-intimidating and unimpressive… He stood on his toes and puffed out his chest, trying to look tough and failing miserably. His mother, Shawna, and his father, Jerome, were both tall and broad; he wondered why they had had to have such a small kid. Maybe it was the food in Britain? The two muggles had both grown up in Louisiana and moved to Britain just twenty years back for Shawna's job as a fashion consultant… Maybe it was the magic? Recessive genes? He sighed and turned away from the corridor mirror. He didn't have time for his reflection; he needed to do more research. Time was running out… As he walked away, he could hear the portraits snickering at him… He guessed it was pretty lame to spend 10 minutes checking himself in the hallway mirror.

Somewhere in the castle (specifically, the library), Albus Potter was being watched. Alice Longbottom was infatuated and had been since forever. A close family friend with the Potters and probably Rose's best friend (though one never knew what with all the friends Rose had), Alice had been crushing on Albus for years. She peered through the bookshelf, peeking at him studying intently what appeared to be herbology. "Potter, eh?". She whipped around, alarmed and mortified to find Leonardo Zabini right next to her, peering through another gap in the books. He turned to face her and smirked. Alice turned pale white, and then angry red.

Somewhere in the castle, Pauline Carrow was reading Quidditch Through the Ages. However, reading was tedious (even when about quidditch), so she quickly gave up and went to find Frank Longbottom, who was stuffing his face in the kitchens.

In the Hufflepuff common room, Scorpius Malfoy sat in the corner addressing a letter to his parents and Linda.

In the Ravenclaw common room, Rose opened her journal.

Malfoy! Remember we have detention tomorrow. It will be my first one, too! I'm actually looking forward to it; I've always wanted to experience one!

And then she waited for the ink to turn red.

So, its the end of the introduction/exposition and the beginning of the real story! Where is it going? Well... We will all have to see! Including me! Since I only have a rough idea! but... I promise I won't slack off for more than 3 weeks! Maybe even next week there will be another chapter? Ha ha I can't even make excuses... blame it on my laziness.
