Kaitlyn watched Roman as he sat down on the bed. His eyes stared forward though they did not focus on anything. His position was slumped, his hands were crossed and his face was emotionless. The brunette Diva had been staring at him for the past ten minutes and he had yet to move a muscle. She couldn't blame him though; his life was crashing down on him hard. Alliyah is his everything and here his ex-fiancé was trying to rip her away from him. How could she do that? Roman was the best father to her and he always told her how he wished he could be around for Alliyah more. In fact, he was always telling Kaitlyn about his daughter. So how could she think Roman was an inadequate father? How could Jessica be so cruel?

Kaitlyn stepped forward, carefully placing a hand on his shoulder. This seemed to have brought him back from his thoughts as he finally blinked. He turned his face to look at her hand. Kaitlyn could see that his eyes were red; a vision that wasn't foreign to her since he had found the letter. His eyes were always red; tearing up yet no tears would fall. As if he were holding them back. She wish he'd just let them fall.

Her hand rubbed his shoulder softly as she lowered down next to him. "Ready to get going to the arena?" She asked quietly, watching his face. He looked forlorn and it pained Kaitlyn so much. She didn't want to see him like this. If she could turn back time and stop Jessica from doing this she would but she couldn't so she knew she had to be here for Roman. If only to make sure he can get through this.

"Yeah." He nodded, bringing a hand to his face and rubbing it. "Let me get my gear and we can go." He stood up, moving over to his luggage and searching for his ring gear.

Kaitlyn stood too, reaching for the bag she had already finished and slung it over her shoulder. She continued to watch Roman as she stood in the same spot. "Are you going to be okay for tonight?" She asked.

"Yeah." He nodded. He slung his duffle bag over his shoulder and looked over at her. Kaitlyn smiled at him and he returned it, though it didn't hold any kind of happiness. She moved over to him, reluctantly taking his hand in hers before using her other hand to pat his hand.

"Come on, Big Guy." She led him out of the room, making sure she still had the room key before starting down the hall. She knew no one else knew of what was going on in Roman's life. He didn't want them to know. He didn't even want to tell Dean and Seth until Kaitlyn convinced him that he had to. They were part of the team and this was obviously going to hold Roman back. They needed to know that things weren't only going to be rough for him, but they'll be rough for the group as well. And not only because Roman won't be preforming at his best but because they were a family and when one member is down than everyone is.

"Roman! Kaitlyn!" A raspy voice called out, they didn't have to turn around to know who it was.

Kaitlyn turned her head, smiling some. "Hey Seth." She looked past him expecting to see Dean but she saw no one. "Where's Dean?"

"He's going to the arena with Eva." Seth answered, finally making it to them and walking besides them. "What's up?"

Kaitlyn looked over at Roman, not knowing how to answer this. Roman looked over at her before looking over at Seth. He opened his mouth to say something but Seth spoke first.

"Something's wrong. I can see it." Seth said, scrunching his eyebrows. "Everything okay here…?"

Kaitlyn nodded. "Yeah everything's just fine with us but…"

"…But?" Seth pressed, looking over at Roman now.

The Samoan man shook his head, looking forward. Kaitlyn could feel him squeeze her hand. "Jessica wants a custody battle for Alliyah."

"No way!" Seth exclaimed, stopping in his tracks as he looked at Roman. The bigger man too stopped when Seth did though his vision was kept forward. Kaitlyn placed a hand on his triceps as a form of silent way to tell him she'll take it from here.

"He found the official notice of it last weekend." Kaitlyn said, looking over at Seth as she explained. The two toned man rubbed a hand over his face as he shook his head.

"Dude." Seth started. "I'm sorry man…"

"Don't be, it's not your fault. It's mine." Roman spoke, causing Kaitlyn to look up at him. He had been repeating that line all weekend and Kaitlyn was getting sick of it. It wasn't his fault at all, he did nothing! He has a job to do and unfortunately that job meant he couldn't be around all the time but he would constantly try to get Alliyah over to him or vice versa. Even when he couldn't, he'd call her or video chat with her. He was an amazing father considering the circumstances and this in no way was his fault.

She opened her mouth to vocalize her displeasing but she stopped when Roman looked at her; he clearly didn't want the lecture. "Roman…" She breathed out, shaking her head. "It's not your fault. Seth, tell him."

"It's not man! You're like, heads over heels for your daughter! You're doing the best for your current situation and then some." Seth agreed with Kaitlyn. The trio started walking again as Seth continued to speak. "And if Jessica doesn't see that well then she's blind as fuck."

Roman smiled slightly at Seth's words which made Kaitlyn smile.

"When do you guys go to family court or whatever?" Seth asked.

"I don't know…man I don't know how any of this work." Roman said truthfully.

"Did you call her?" Seth clicked the button for the elevator.

"No not yet." Roman answered, getting a look from Seth. "I know I…was just hoping this was a bad dream or something. I'll call her after work."

"Does Dean know?" Seth asked, looking between the couple.

"Nah."

Kaitlyn figured Dean will be the next to know once they got to the arena, that is, if he separates himself from Eva long enough.

Kaitlyn walked through the corridor, championship hanging off her shoulder as she made her way to the gorilla. She had a match with Layla in a few minutes but her mind just wasn't with that at all. She couldn't stop thinking about Roman's situation. This was going to hold him down not only as a wrestler but as a person and she needed to find a way to keep him up. She'd have to find a way.

Luckily she wasn't doing this on her own; she had Dean and Seth to help her out. They had told Dean once he entered the locker room to get change. He was upset by the news as well, knowing that Roman really loved Alliyah and that this must be beating him up. Dean even went as far as asking if Roman would need to sit this night out and that he'd make up an excuse for him, but Roman had denied the offer. There was pent up emotion in him that he wouldn't mind letting out in the ring. Tonight their developing rivalry on CM Punk and company was thickening and all Kaitlyn could think of was how bad she was going to feel for CM Punk because Roman definitely has a lot to let out tonight.

Kaitlyn was about to round the corner when she felt a force push her to the wall. Hard.

"What the fu-" Kaitlyn's words were cut off as a figure started to pull her up and swing her to the wall again, causing the Diva to lose her footing and nearly slam her head onto the wall; the only thing saving her from a concussion was her quick reflex of, kind of, catching herself.

The figure swung their leg up, kneeing Kaitlyn in the stomach and causing the Texan to double over. She tried to look up to see who the person doing this to her was but her vision was blocked when the person swung a fist to her face. Kaitlyn let out a loud cry as she felt pain shoot throughout her face. The person didn't let up as they just continued to kick and punch at Kaitlyn, she was sure she was getting bruised everywhere. Kaitlyn tried to desperately push of the person, finally being successful as she swung at the hooded figure and made contact with their abdominal.

The figured staggered back, gripping onto their abdominal as Kaitlyn tried to stand up through the pain. She meant to swing again at the person but they backed up, narrowly missing her swing. Kaitlyn tried one more time but the figure caught her arm and used that to push Kaitlyn back into the wall once more. Kaitlyn arched her back at the pain, closing her eyes shut as she breathed through it.

Finally opening them she looked around to find that the attacker was gone. Putting a hand to her nose, she winced at the pain before looking down and seeing blood. Shit. She hoped it wasn't broken. She slowly tried to stand, though she could feel her muscles sore from the attack. Anger shot through her as she looked around for her belt before hearing a voice call out to her.

"Kaitlyn! We need you no-" The voice stopped as they caught a look at Kaitlyn, she turned to see a producer looking at her. He didn't say anything at first before quickly bringing up a walkie talkie. "We need the medics here quickly. Also, tell them to go on with the next match, a Diva is hurt."

The ringside physician, Dr. Chris Amann, gave Kaitlyn an ice pack and carefully guided her hand on where to put it. "So, it's not broken but it is going to be sore for a while. Whoever did this to you hit it hard but not hard enough to break anything."

"So I won't need a nose cast or anything?" Kaitlyn asked.

"If the swelling goes down than you won't need anything." He answered with a smile on his face though no one was happy. "Take some Tylenol for the pain, alright? And take it easy, you've got some bruises forming."

"Alright, Doc." She mumbled, moving the ice pack slowly around her swollen nose.

A sound of the door swinging open scared both Kaitlyn and Dr. Amann as Roman rushed in. He pushed past the doctor as he placed a hand on either side of Kaitlyn's face.

"You alright, babe? Who did this to you?" Roman asked, looking at Kaitlyn's face. She could see the look of worry and anger mixed together.

"I'm alright." She answered first, removing the ice pack from her nose but quickly putting it back when she noticed the look Doc gave to her. "And I don't know. I was going to gorilla when someone just attacked me!"

"Did you see a face? Do you know who it was?"

"No. They had a hoodie on and they masked their face with a bandana." She explained, trying to think if she ever did see any facial features. This answer didn't seem to please Roman as he stood up straighter with his hands still on her cheeks.

"I'm going to find who did this to you and I'm going to fucking hurt them." Roman stated angrily, moving one hand from her cheek. "No one touches my girl, no one, and gets away with it that easy."

"Roman…" Kaitlyn said, though her she couldn't continue when another figure entered the room. Looking up she watched as Stephanie McMahon walked into the room.

"There's no need for violence, Roman." She said before looking over at Kaitlyn, her eyes expression's shifting to that of worry. "What's the diagnostic?"

"Swollen nose and lots of bruising, nothing broken." Kaitlyn answered. Stephanie moved around Roman, who nearly took up the space of the small trainer's room, as she placed a hand on Kaitlyn's shoulder.

"Don't worry, Kaitlyn. We're going to find out who did this and enforce the proper punishments." She said, gaining a grunt from Roman.

"We're supposed to sit back and wait for you guys to find the person to what? Suspend them? Nah, they hurt my girl! I'm gonna find them and enforce my own brand of punishment on them." He growled out, anger guiding him now.

"Now Reigns, please." Stephanie shook her head. "I understand your anger right now, but your way of dealing with the problem won't help anyone and can get you in trouble. I know asking you to sit back and wait is a, well, stupid idea and rather unlikely but I do ask you to calm down before making rash decisions." Stephanie looked over at Kaitlyn. "You've got to trust that we've got it under control. We're currently working on obtaining any security footage that might've been caught by the security cameras nearby."

Roman opened his mouth to speak but Kaitlyn spoke first. "Okay. We'll try to step back…but I want to know who did this. Roman isn't the only one willing to break some bones of whoever did this to me." Kaitlyn warned.

"That's fair enough. I'll try to get answers for you as soon as possible." Stephanie nodded. "As of right now I want you to rest, Kaitlyn. You can stay in the locker room, but I don't want you going out to that ring or around the halls. Roman, I want you getting ready for your match." She ordered before walking out.

Roman looked over at Kaitlyn, motioning towards the door. "Let's go."

Kaitlyn stood from the table, thanking Dr. Amann before walking out with Roman. She kept her eyes peeled around her as she walked with him. Someone out there had it in for her and she didn't know why.

A/B: Sorry it took a while but I wanted to make sure I did this right! As you can see things are getting pretty hairy for both Roman and Kaitlyn! Also, the doctor's name I just got from WWE's site. I don't know if he's the official doctor or anything but he's a Senior Physician or something so I just went with it! Lol.

Anyways, I hoped you enjoy this! Please review? ^.^
