Sorry for the long wait, but at least it's here now.

Hangar. Destiny.

"What's out ETA?" O'Neill said.

"One minute." Rush replied over the coms.

"Daniel, Sam, make sure everyone's ready." O'Neill ordered.

"For the fifth time Jack, we've had their equipment checked and re-checked several times already, it's all fine." Sam replied a bit tired.

"Relax Jack, everything is ready." Daniel said in an effort to calm his friend.

"Dropping out of FTL in ten... nine... eight... seven... six... five... four... three... two... one... dropping out." Rush voice was heard over the internal speakers and just on time the ship dropped out of FTL straight into a hell, flanking them was four command class ships, two one each side, on the other side of the battlefield the Vindaxer dropped out of hyperspace, it too was flanked by four command class ships.

An hour before they had arrived Mars had ordered the majority of the ships in the protection fleet to attack the drone control ships that protected the repair ship, now they where pushing them back, destroying one control ship at a time, but even with the heavy losses they had sustained the control ship kept defending the repair ship, slowing down the attackers as they fired back.

At that point Mars had ordered both the Vindaxer and Destiny forward into the battle.

Now they where pressing forward, cutting two large rifts into the defenders lines, the defenders of course wouldn't allow that to happen and so they managed to destroy one of the Vindaxers escorts and two of Destiny's before they found themselves docked with the repair ship who's shields enveloped the two ships, as the remaining escort ships tried to hold of the control ships and their drones the marines and androids on board the two ships begun to board the repair ship, either through docking tubes, jumpers, beaming, rings brought by the jumpers or by simply shooting grappling hooks onto the hull and entering through breeches in the hull, existing and purpose made alike.

Corridor. Repair Ship.

"Everyone is on board Sir. It's up to you now, we're getting out of here." O'Neill heard Eli say over the coms.

"Copy that." O'Neill said before turning to his team, consisting of himself, Sam, Daniel, Teal'c and two of the new androids. "You heard Eli, we're on our own from here on. There's bound to be cyborgs here so watch out, we know what to do. If we get separated you head for the bridge and rendezvous with the rest of us outside, it's bound to be heavily defended so don't try to take it by yourself."

"Yes, sir." The two androids said, while the others simply nodded.

After that O'Neill turned around and headed down the corridor in the direction of the bridge, while they could beam in troops all over the ship the bridge and the surrounding area was shielded.

After a few minutes of running they faced the first cyborgs as an enemy patrol turned around a corner further ahead and came into view, upon sight the androids charged with guns blazing, closely followed by the rest.

The cyborgs of course returned fire but the androids took some of the fire while jumping over others and avoided some by running along the roof for a few seconds, behind them the others did their best to avoid the energy that came flying towards them, but some did impact their shields and reduced their shields by a small amount but not noticeable, so they kept pressing forward, returning fire when they could

A few seconds later the androids had closed the distance and switched their guns out for two blades and begun to cut up the cyborgs one by one while the rest came two seconds later, pouring bullets and plasma into the cyborgs at every chance they could.

Then a second cyborg patrol came up from behind them.

"Take care of them." O'Neill ordered Sam, Daniel and Teal'c who immediately turned around and engaged the newly arrived enemy.

As O'Neill and the two androids cleaned up the last of the first patrol a three drones came crashing through the corridor, blocking it of entirely.

"Sam, Daniel, Teal'c can you hear me?" O'Neill sent over the coms.

"We're here." Daniel replied a moment later. "But I think we'll have to find another way around it."

"I'll meet you outside the bridge. Stay safe." O'Neill said before turning back to the corridor and his objective.

O'Neill continued down the corridor, then a few more and then even more corridors before he ended up in a large room. A minute later Sam, Daniel and Teal'c arrived with twenty androids behind them.

"We managed to pick up some support on the way." Sam said as they approached.

"Good, we're going to need them. I've heard what sounds like and entire platoon inside." O'Neill replied.

"Shall we begin?" Teal'c asked in anticipation.

"We might as well do it now." O'Neill answered. "Teal'c, Daniel, you take the left side of the bridge, me and Sam will take the right. The androids will charge down the centre to assist when needed."

"Copy that." The androids said as they took up position in front of the door.

"Daniel, you might want to update them on some breaching techniques." O'Neill said to Daniel before turning to the androids. "Get into cover, you'll get blasted to pieces when the doors open."

"Copy that." The androids responded as they got into cover.

"And get rid of that response, a simple nod is enough unless someone asks for confirmation." O'Neill said to Daniel a second before he hit the button which opened the door.

In response a hail of green bolts came flying through the now open door, three seconds later the hail stopped as the defenders realized that they failed to hit anything, then came the retaliation of the attackers as the twenty androids charged through the door, five of them got cut down as they pressed through the door, the other fifteen however got through and got into cover on the bridge, while the androids kept the cyborgs busy the living members of the group sneaked inside and split up.

As they came through the door O'Neill and Sam headed right, on their way in they saw two androids in hand to hand combat with four cyborgs, while the cyborgs were attacking two on one the androids still managed to holds its ground if only just barely, seeing the fight from the side O'Neill sent a single bullet at one of the cyborgs, as it struck the cyborg flinched and the android managed to wrap its arm around the neck of the cyborg and with some struggle it snapped the creatures neck, al the while it spun around with one of its legs, sending the second cyborg flying into a control panel, then the android soon followed and sliced up the second cyborg, when it was done it jumped up into the roof and climbed over to the second melee, there it let go and dropped down on top of one of the cyborgs, tipping the odds further in their favour.

While the android did this O'Neill and Sam pressed on, giving Daniel and Teal'c cover fire while they did the same, picking of targets which had turned their back to them while staying out of sight of any cyborgs which could actually shoot at them.

Soon the cyborgs found themselves in a threeway crossfire as the androids kept firing into the cyborgs, while holding their ground, and Jack, Sam, Daniel and Teal'c got into position and opened up with everything they had, straight into the diminishing number of cyborgs.

Soon the last cyborg feel as O'Neill personally walked up to it and sliced its throat with a knife.

When all the cyborgs had been taken care of Sam sat down at a console and begun to hack through the system while the other organics took up guard positions at the back of the ship, some of the androids moved to help Sam by plugging into other consoles while the rest of the androids helped O'Neill, Daniel and Teal'c with guarding the bridge.

"I've found something odd here." Sam said after a very quite half an hour of hacking into and searching through the ships computers.

"What is it?" O'Neill said as he ran over to her.

"An entire room just appeared onto the sensors."

"Appeared? Rooms don't appear and disappear."

"But this one just did." Sam said as she brought up the sensor logs and pointed at a room which appeared. "See, that room just appears on the sensors, a simple cloak could do that, but this is far more advanced than that, when that room appeared all other rooms shrank in size, the technology used to hide that room must have tricked the sensors into believing that the rooms area is put into other rooms."

"That sounds a bit complicated."

"It is, but it could trick the sensors if used correctly."

"We'll check that room out as soon as the ship is under our control." O'Neill said as he begun to walk back to the back of the bridge.

"Sir, the ship might not be under our control if we don't get to that room soon. I don't know what it is, but there's thousands of dots coming out of that room and even more inside, the cyborgs that are in it's way disappear from the sensors in an alarming pace, they'll be here within the hour, tops, but at the rate our troops are killing cyborgs there will be nothing left between us and them in a few minutes."

"That's not good. As soon as you've got control of the hyperdrive, or even the FTL-engine, I want you to get us out of here immediately." O'Neill said as before he ran of out of the bridge, signing for Daniel and Teal'c to follow him.

Fifteen minutes after they left the bridge they felt the ship jumping to FTL..

"Sir, we're on our way to the rendezvous point, I can't get a clear ETA because the FTL-engine is slightly damaged so we can't keep a constant speed. The hyperdrive has been totally fried so don't even ask me to power it up instead." Sams voice came over the coms a second later.

"Copy that. How are things looking on the sensors?" O'Neill replied.

"The majority of our troops have been successful in their objectives, a few teams have faced much heavier resistance, mostly in the direction of the hidden room, it looks like the majority of the cyborgs were stationed around the entrance to that room. I've begun to get some better readings on the things from the room and they're not organic. You'll probably face them soon."

"See if there's any internal defences on the ship that we can use." O'Neill said and closed the channel.

Continuing forward it wasn't long t“before they could here the sound of weapons fire, both that of energy weapons and their own PP-90s.

After a few more corners they came upon a fire-fight with SGC personnel and androids on one side and a type of skeletal like androids on the other side, if you took a human skeleton and removed all of the ribs that was what you'd get for appearances, their hull even had the colour of bone white.

What was stranger was the fact that the skeletons where shooting energy weapons which didn't seem to directly damage the armour of the SGC personnel or their androids but when a cyborg rushed the SGC personnel several of the blasts created large craters in the back of the cyborg.

Any further thoughts were lost to O'Neill as he threw himself into the fire fight, shooting left and right to eliminate the enemy, but as soon as one feel he was dragged behind friendly lines and two more took his place, after that it wasn't long before he saw a skeleton appear which he could have sworn was the one he'd just taken out, only now it was repaired and had a weld were his bullet had hit.

This continued for several minutes before an android, which O'Neill would have found really hot if it hadn't been shooting at them, appeared from behind the enemies line, after that things went fast as the hostile android jumped over them and when it landed it reached through their shields and quickly dispatched them one by one before they realized what had happened.

As it came for O'Neill he heard Sam's voice over the comms, "Sir, I think whatever came out of that room was the ships internal defences." Then everything went black as O'Neill passed out.

Some time later O'Neill woke up as the effects of the stunner wore of, around him he could see the rest of the marines which had been participating in the assault, along the walls of the room he could see their own androids standing guard with their weapons pointed at the soldiers who had taken part in the attack on the ship, all in varying states of unconsciousness, except for Teal'c who was sitting between the soldiers and the androids in a meditative yet protective position, not wanting to disturb the jaffa O'Neill simply closed his eyes and waited.

There was quite some time before a door finally opened and the rather attractive android which had previously attacked them stepped through.

"Who's in charge here?" The android demanded in ancient.

"That would be me and I've got to tell you that you really need to start treating your guests better." O'Neill answered as his suit translated both ways.

In response the female android simply turned around and walked out through the door while two of the SGC androids dragged O'Neill behind her through the door, once through the door they continued down several corridors, which had several cyborg corpses strewn about, until they reached the bridge of the ship, there she sat down in the middle of the bridge, in a control chair which O'Neill hadn't seen during their assault on the bridge, while O'Neill was dragged to her left side.

"All systems might not be fully functional, but I still have enough sensor readings to know that there's one huge ship or several smaller ships following us." The female said as one of the screens on the bridge showed a blurry sensor reading with a large blip closing in on them little by little.

"You know, this place could really use a few buckets of paint." O'Neill said as he took in just how bad the bridge was looking, several of the screens had either cracks from energy weapons or holes from bullets, the ones with cracks where simply switching between showing colours while the ones with holes worked almost as good as they had been before being shoot, except for the large black areas around the holes where the screens failed to show anything.

"Yes, the ship has seen better days, but I will deal with that as soon as your friends has been taken care of. Now tell them to turn away before I begin to execute all of you."

"Slow it down lady, we just rescued you and your ship, I think you owe us."

"Rescued me? You simply provided me with the diversion I needed to launch an attack. Now you're going to call of your ships before I begin to skin your people alive."

"What guaranty do I have that you won't begin to kill me and my men as soon as our ships have backed down?"

"Either you tell them to stay away from my ship, that way they'll stay safe and you might just survive, or you don't tell them to stay away in which case both you and them will be killed." She said in a tone that sent shivers down O'Neill spine.

"If you try to destroy those ships then you'll only get yourself killed, you said it yourself, this ship has seen better days."

"I'm not going to destroy them, but there's a fleet out there in the void whose power has only ever been rivalled by six fleets, in just a few hours I can have every ship in that fleet hunting down your ships."

"You know Mars described you as a loving person who never hurt anyone, so I doubt you'll actually send those ships against us."

"That was a long time ago, being trapped in a room with no one to talk to for thousands of years changes you, add to that the knowledge that the one person you've loved has been killed trying to protect you and I think that I've got all right to be slightly homicidal against anyone trying to stop me from getting revenge."

"Well we might have a way of setting things right, as long as you let me contact the pursuing fleet."

"There's nothing you can do that will set things right, but you will contact the fleet either way." She said as the androids dragged O'Neill in front of her, placing him with his back against her, then a screen came out of the roof and turned on.

As soon as Destiny had dropped of her passengers she pressed on, using the path the Vindaxer had created on it's approach to escape from the fighting while the Vindaxer used Destiny's previous path.

When Destiny had reached the outskirts of the fighting she'd jumped away to a safe distance to avoid the fighting, she was a science ship after all, not a military ship like the Vindaxer, which had stayed in the fight, trying to diminish the number of drones and control ships.

Some time later, just as the Vindaxer had cut a path through the drones to the repair ship, the repair ship begun to move, first it tilted slightly as it turned and then, when it's nose pointed at the path, it shoot forward with the use of the FTL-engine.

As soon as the other ships detected that the repair ship had jumped away they begun to retreat one at a time, until only the Vindaxer was left, after making a final run through the lines of the drones, which had now been cut down to only a fraction of its former strength, after that it too jumped away, leaving the drones and their control ships stranded as every control ship with working hyperdrives had gotten targeted.

While all this was happening two smaller fleets were standing by outside of the battle, waiting for the repair ship to make its escape and as soon as it did they first performed a hyperspace jump to intercept the ship and then they dropped out and switched to FTL to match the repair ships speed, it wasn't long before both Destiny and the Vindaxer joined up with the two fleets using the same technique, only a few minutes apart.

Bridge. Destiny.

"Incoming transmission" Rush reported from his chair on the bridge.

"Put it on the big screen." Young ordered.

"This is Venus of the Ancients to the pursuing ships." A female robot, who appeared on the screen, said as the computers of Destiny translated both ways.

"This is Major General Young, Captain of the Destiny." Young replied from his chair.

"Lies, after both me and Mars where incapacitated the chance of Destiny surviving is like finding a grain of sand in the universe."

"The universe is quiet large, but there's a lot of sand in it."

"Bah. I know that Destiny was destroyed, there is no other outcome."

"But clearly there is, I'm standing here on her bridge right now."

"Keep lying to me and bad things will happen." She said in a tone almost sharp enough to cut with.

"Clearly you've been trapped on that ship for too long, but if I can't make you believe the truth, maybe someone else can." Young said and pressed a few buttons which patched in the Vindaxer into the transmission.

"Honey, is that you?" Mars said in surprise as he appeared on a screen next to Venus, clearly being able to see her through the channel.

"What's this trickery? You died long ago."

"No, my ship was only incapacitated, but my core was left intact, so for many many years I floated around in that point of space until finally these people came and repaired my ship. Now we've come to help you too."

"If you try anything else then this man wont be so happy." Venus said as the image tilted away from her face until it finally stopped on O'Neill, standing on his knees with a knife against his throat.

"You don't want to do that sweetheart."

"No, but as long as you keep following me I'll kill one of my captives each fifteen minutes."

"That's a bad idea." Young said in a strict tone.

"Yes, for you it is." She said as she pressed the blade to O'Neill's throat hard enough to draw blood.

"What are you going to do when you run out of captives?"

"Well I doubt you'll continue after a few hundred of your people has been killed."

"We only want to help you, but I can't allow you to hurt my people and if I fall back there's no guaranty that I'll see them again."

"No, but at least it's better than this." Venus said as she pressed the blade straight through O'Neill's throat and neck, cleaving him like a guillotine would.

"Nooooo."Young and Eli cried out as they saw the head rolling of the shoulders while the body simply fell forward.

Then a split-second later there was a small bright flash of light on the screen and both Venus and the two androids could be seen falling into the image and then onto the floor, something everyone missed in their grieving, a minute later, while Young and large parts of the crews on the bridge cried and the rest, including Rush, was sitting speechless, there was a coughing sound before the top of O'Neill's head came into view.

"Wow, what just happened?" O'Neill asked confused over the channel.

"Sir, your alive?" Young asked in surprise.

"Yes, unless I've come to heaven, in which case I think it sucks."

"I'm sorry we where unable to intercept the blade before you were killed. But at least they managed to resurrect you before your spark of life had disappeared." Mars intervened.

"The Ancients?" O'Neill asked.

"Yes, it would seem that Venus went mad during the time she spent isolated in on that ship, so I made the call for her to be taken back to our people, it's a real shame that it took them so long to send someone. But thankfully you're all alive, at least."

"Yea, thanks for that. Now if you'll excuse me, I've got a crew to set free and a ship to stop." O'Neill said before terminating the signal.

"You'll have to excuse me too." Mars said. "I need to return with my wife."

Lecture Hall. Atlantia.

Standing on the podium in the lecture hall was General of the SGC Jack O'Neill and sitting in the seats where the most important men and women of the SGC.

"Tonight we've all gathered here because it's time for me to retire from active service within the SGC." O'Neill begun. "And so the need for someone to take my place has arisen, many names have been put forward, but no person which have been named has the necessary qualifications to take over this job and neither do I, there might have been times where the choices I could have made would have been better if there where people there with the knowledge necessary, thankfully Samantha Carter, Daniel Jackson and Teal'c among many others have been there to help me, hence I think the person following me should have this opportunity too.

Therefor the future leader of the SGC will be a council, in this council there will be thirteen people, Dr. McKay and Dr. Zelenka will be in charge of the science division, Sheppard and Mitchell will have the fighter division, Teal'c and Ronon will handle the infantry division, Dr. Weir and Dr. Jackson will have both the diplomatic division and the archaeological division, Dr. Beckett and Dr. Keller will have control of the medical division and lastly Ellis and Caldwell will be in charge of the fleet division.

These people all come from very different backgrounds and they have very different jobs and specialities, so leading the council will be a woman I hold high, Dr. Samantha Carter."

As O'Neill finished the announcement the people gathered in the room begun to talk while the thirteen people O'Neill had mentioned came forward onto the podium.

"As O'Neill just said we are the people who will take over after him, there will also be some changes within the organisation, the divisions O'Neill mentioned is that change, every scientist will rapport to either McKay or Zelenka, directly or in directly, the same goes for the fighters stationed on any base or ship and Sheppard and Mitchell, and so on, while these people might not be the best in every sub-area, they are the best over all in their areas, so they'll each be aided by specialist within each area." Sam said after taking over the stage after O'Neill. "Now each of the council members will each take turns to explain how their divisions will be arranged."

After finishing her own speech Sam left the podium, after leaving the stage to Dr. Weir and Daniel, and followed O'Neill out through one of the side doors.

"So how are you doing after losing your head there for a bit, sir?" Sam asked as she caught up to him.

"You know that you really can't call me that any more." He responded.

"I think it works just fine, sir. See it works out just fine to say sir, sir." She said with a smile.

"I mean that you don't have to call me sir because I'm retired now."

"I know, but you've been my superior for so long that it simply feels wrong not to."

"Well it's been a few years since we started."

"Yes, it's been a lot of years."

"Yea, it has." O'Neill said as he put her arm around her and they walked away through the halls of atlantia.

"Hey, if you keep this up you'll soon take down Daniel's record." Sam said after a while.

THE END

That's it for this time. I hope you enjoyed it, I totally understand if you didn't as it's a bit to sloppy for my taste, but I think it's for the best to put it up here now.

Either way leave a review and I'll see when I can get the next one up, but don't expect anything soon.
