Hello everyone. I'm so sorry for the long wait, but real life has to come first and spring/summer isn't when I've got the most free time and with a month long vacation coming up I can't even guess when you'll see the next chapter. But I will be cutting down the length a bit in the following chapters so that I hopefully can get some new chapters up faster.

A/N: So since I know you're probably a bit disappointed at the slow rate of updates, short chapters etc. I've chosen to give you a little something else. The begging of a brand new story. It was written during a long ride home on a phone so it's a bit touch and go, but I hope it'll give you something to read for now. Just go to my profile and you'll find it in the list of crap posted by me. You might also want to know that there's at least two (2) brand new, serious, stories in the workings. Both of which I think are way better than both SG: MYW and DA at the moment.

Now enjoy.

As his ship rushed through hyperspace Sheppard could feel the anticipation he always felt before a battle. But then he looked around the bridge of the Reaper and saw the men and women he'd served with for the last years and the feeling let go.

"How are things looking at our destination?" Sheppard asked his sensor officer.

"There's three hundred hives and almost fifteen hundred cruisers waiting for us Sir." The officer replied. "Not to mention the fact that there's at least three times that waiting some distance away."

"We could be cutting things a little close then." Sheppard said.

"Sheppard, you ready for this?" Caldwell said as his hologram was projected onto the bridge.

"I sure am Sir. Even if we're cutting things a little bit to close for my liking." Sheppard replied.

"That's the way the SGC has been since the start, we cut it close and succeed were others wouldn't." Caldwell replied.

"I know that all too well Sir." Sheppard said.

"After your encounter with that Wraith it's been decided that everyone is to refrain from boarding any of their ships." Caldwell.

"Yes Sir. I'll relay that order." Sheppard replied.

"Good. Caldwell out." Caldwell said as his hologram disapered.

"ETA?" Sheppard asked out loud.

"A minute Sir." Someone replied.

"Prepare to engage the enemy as soon as we return to normal space." Sheppard ordered just as the ship left hyperspace together with their entire fleet. "I thought you said we had a minute left."

"Sorry Sir, I asked for a minute to check." A voice came from the back of the bridge.

"Concentrate your fire on the cruisers to begin with." Sheppard ordered the people at the weapon consoles.

Outside the ship was a scene of utter chaos as the Tau'ri weapons impacted shields on some of the cruisers and the hull of others all while the Wraith tried to take down the shields of the Tau'ri ships with their own weapons. But neither side gained the upper hand as the Tau'ri got a constant flow of power to their shields from their ZPMs while the same power source was feeding the Wraith's shields and hull regeneration. After almost an hour of fighting the first of the Tau'ri ships lost its shields but they didn't lose more than a few weapon pods before the shields reformed around the ship.

"Sir, we have incoming bogeys through hyperspace from our starboard side." The Reaper's sensor officer reported. "Scratch that, we have bogeys incoming from every fuck direction Sir."

"Wraith?" Sheppard asked.

"Negative Sir. The Wraith reinforcements are still holding position a few seconds away in hyperspace." The officer reported.

"Inform Caldwell in case they've yet no notice it." Sheppard ordered.

"Yes Sir." The officer said before changing to a whisper. "Like they could have missed this fucking mess coming at us."

Less than a minute later a single Asgard ship dropped out of hyperspace to their port side, at the edge of the system, then it was quickly followed by another hundred Asgard vessels. Almost at the same time thousands of drone control ships came out hyperspace at the opposite side of the system.

"Wraith ships are breaking of and heading towards the control ships Sir." The sensor officer reported. Additional Wraith ships are heading this way too."

"Stop firing and redirect already active drones towards the control ships." Sheppard ordered while the rest of the fleet continued to fire on the retreating Wraith armada.

"Order all ships under my direct and indirect command to break of from the fleet and fall in behind the Wraith, I think we might have a common enemy to engage here." Sheppard said.

"Caldwell has ordered the fleet to continue firing on the Wraith ships." The communications officer said.

"We need to take this chance to wipe out the Wraith once and for all Sheppard, I'm ordering you to continue to engage the Wraith armada." Caldwell said as his hologram was projected onto the bridge of the Reaper.

"This is Pegasus Caldwell. I'm in charge here." Sheppard replied as he activated emergency overrides and locked Caldwell out of the system.

"Sheppard." Caldwell shouted as his control chair's restrains activated. "I'll have you charged with treason."

"Well I'll take full responsibility for anything that happens here." Sheppard said as he beamed over someone from Caldwell's ship. "I'll deal with your prisoner too Caldwell."

"Ah, Sheppard." Todd said as he was beamed directly to the bridge and replaced the hologram of Caldwell.

"Todd." Sheppard said as the formers fell of and hit the floor.

"Well, that's a ship I haven't seen in a long time." Todd said as he looked out of the bridge at the Wraith armada.

"Ships transmitting Ancient identification codes have just dropped out in the system along with two additional fleets Sir." The communications officer reported.

"Concentrate all fire on the control ships." Sheppard ordered before turning back to Todd. "So you've seen that ship before?"

"I've more than see that ship Sheppard, I've commanded it in battle." Todd replied. "I like you Sheppard, I've tried to keep the war between you and the Wraith on such a small scale that they wouldn't wake him up, but you seem to have given my kind no other choice. You should be happy that he's found something he hates even more than you."

"You think you can arrange a truce while we deal with the control ships?" Sheppard asked as the fleets of the Four Great Races move into position around the Tau'ri and Wraith fleets.

"If you give me a ship I will see to it that it's done Sheppard." Todd replied.

"You're not getting a ship Todd, we're transporting you directly to the big ship." Sheppard replied.

"You will not regret this Sheppard." Tood said as he was enveloped in a white light and found himself on the huge Wraith ship. In just a few seconds Todd was surrounded by dozen of Wraith soldiers who bowed down to him and for the first time in millennia he felt right at home. "Take me to him now."

Without as much as a word the Wraith formed up around him and escorted him through the winding halls of the ship to the bridge of the ship.

"So the lost son returns?" The red haired Wraith queen asked as he walked up to the throne which sat at the centre of the bridge.

"At long last I do." Todd said as he knelt before the throne.

"We thought you had been lost son." The First said.

"Had the queens had their will through then I would be long gone." Todd replied.

"I've felt their independent wills myself, we have begun anew so that the queens do what they where designed to do." The First replied. "Now would you care to explain how you simply appear out of thin air just like the invaders who tried to take my life did?"

"You can rip that information from my mind, why not just do it?" Todd asked hesitantly as the ship was rocketed by a control ship ramming it.

"Too much of my concentration is directed at the battle outside to do something like that." The First said.

"I see." Todd said as he sat down on the floor. "They ask for a truce while the Omni Extremin are dealt with."

"So they sent you here my son?" The First asked. "Have you deserted my cause?"

"Yes, they sent me, but I have not abandoned your cause, my king." Todd said.

"Then why would they send you?" The red haired queen asked.

"Your daughters came after me time after time, my queen." Todd said. "So when the opportunity came I secured a number of Lantean Power Cores, called ZPMs by the humans, so that I would be able to create a hive like the ones in this fleet to keep myself safe. Since you ripped the knowledge of such things from our minds I had to start from scratch, it took time but I was soon able to integrate the Power Cores into the hive. But even some of the commanders have begun to grow wills of their own, one betrayed me and took the ship for himself. I became a prisoner of the invaders so that the traitor could be taken care of."

"You truly are more resource full than I've given you credit for my son." The First said. "The humans will not have their truce, we offer them an alliance against the Omni Extermin. When they are no more I can finally rest and the Wraith will be under your command."

"Yes my King." Todd said after a seconds hesitation. Then he got up and left the room.
