Alec's POV
The principal aggravates me very much. She just wants as much publicity for this school as she can get, which I understand, but it shouldn't be at our expense. She just wants her damn name in the newspapers and magazines. I am not in the mood for a press conference. Aro, Caius, and Marcus don't like us in the spotlight of the press a lot, because he wants as little speculation about us as possible. We have to keep our secret but being as important and popular as we are here at school makes it hard.
A lot of newspapers and magazines are here; even some American ones. The whole student body is watching. I looked at the other Royal Five members. We weren't nervous, just annoyed. I'm the oldest in years, being born in the early 1600s, but Felix was the oldest physically, being that he was older than me when he was changed. So he got seniority and went first. He stepped up to the podium and the questions began.
"Are you and Hannah still together?" one reporter yelled out.
"Yes." Felix responded.
"How do you feel about your brother Demetri taking over some of your sports?"
"It is actually a big help. I had too much on my plate and I know he'll do a wonderful job." Felix shrugged.
"Are you saying Demetri is better than you?"
Felix squinted. "Um. No? My brother has his strengths and I have mine. Neither of us is better than the other. What kind of question is that anyway?"
Another reporter repeated the previous question, "Are you and Hannah still together?" Felix started to look even more agitated than he already was. Hannah got up and gave Felix a brief but passionate kiss. I know she is adopted, but her dad changed me so he's like my dad and it annoys me a little to see her kissing Felix. I didn't say anything though.
"Does that answer your question?" Felix demanded into the microphone before turning around and sitting down in a stand to answer no more questions.
"Next we will hear from the youngest in the family, Chala." The principal announced.
Chala folded her arms and refused to move. "Go ahead, babe." I urged. She shook her head no and I started tickling her. She eventually gave in. "If they ask me something I don't like, I will cuss them out." She said with a sickly sweet smile. I had no doubt that she would do just that if she felt the need. She hopped up and I lightly smacked her on her butt. She turned around and shot me a death glare. If looks could kill, I'd be dead. I smiled an innocent smile. She turned around and approached the mic.
"How do you feel about Demetri?" a reporter asked.
"I love him to death. That's my nigga." I couldn't help but laugh at her crude slang. Some of the reporters gasped at the controversial and taboo word.
"Do you and your squad plan to defeat the Forks High Spartans and their captain, Rosalie Hale?" another reporter asked in a gossipy tone.
"Hale yeah." Chala smirked, and we all laughed at her clever play on words.
"Do you want Demetri to find a girlfriend?"
"Yes I do, very much." Chala replied earnestly.
"Would you be jealous? Because from what we saw the way you two interact is not family like at all. It looked like more. Are you with Alec or Demetri? Better yet, do you even love Alec?" one reporter very bravely inquired.
Chala's skin deepened darkly. She started breathing hard and balled her fists. I jumped up to prevent her from doing anything rash. She whispered in my ear. "Let's show them who I love." Felix and Demetri started laughing because they heard what she said. I smiled. I grabbed her with passion and kissed her. The cameras were going off like crazy but we were in our own world of fierce love and emotion. How dare they accuse her of Demetri? I thought angrily, and my body responded by grabbing her leg and hitching it around my hip. Demetri cleared his throat meaningfully. I knew seeing me feel up his sister was probably making him uncomfortable and we pulled apart.
"Does that answer your question?" Chala asked as we turned around and returned to our seats. Demetri was up next.
"How do you feel about Chala and Alec's relationship?"
"Well, I guess I'm okay with it." Demetri responded. "I say no one is good enough for my little sister and that includes my cousin/brother. But if I have to trust someone with her, Alec is my pick."
"What are your plans for the baseball and soccer teams?"
"Practice, practice, and more practice. We have to beat Jasper hale at the World Competitions."
"What kind of girl are you interested in?"
"She has to be attractive, kind, funny, honest, loyal, and intelligent."
That ended Demetri's interview and Hannah went next.
"What is Demetri to you? Are you happy he's here at LDV?" was the first question.
"He's like an older, protective, and annoying brother." She sighed. We all laughed. "And yes, I really am."
"What are your plans for the World Competition?"
"Win at all costs is one of our school's mottos and that's exactly what I plan to do."
"Are you and your cousin Chala shopaholics?"
"Chala is. She's spoiled rotten. I like to shop but only for special occasions."
"What is your signature item of clothing?"
"That would be skinny jeans. My motto is: wear skinny jeans if you're skinny and if you're not, wear them anyway." She answered with a smile.
I went last. "Don't ask any questions about my relationship." I said firmly. The press paused for a moment before the questioning began.
"Are you planning to win World Competitions?"
"Heck yeah I am."
"What in your eyes is Hannah's best feature?"
"Her eyes. In the sun they're gray. In the fall and winter they're this icy blue color. Her muscles are cool too."
"What in your eyes is Chala's best feature?"
"Her legs are so shiny and smooth. And her eyes are this warm hazel color that is very easy to get lost in." I smiled dreamily.
"What is Chala's signature item of clothing?"
"Miniskirts and jean shorts."
"What are you and the other guy's signature article of clothing?"
"Chuck Taylor Converses." I responded easily.
"Well, that's all." The principal announced, taking the podium after I stepped back. We had a photo shoot next which is something I could do any day. We all looked great. The girls were exhausted so we walked them to their room. We stayed with them until they fell asleep. After that we went hunting. We have to eat too. Luckily for humans, we only eat animals.
