Chapter 25: Holiday

Christmas Eve/ Bella's POV

Demetri and I have been together since September. My feelings have grown even deeper and I guess I can say… well, I love him. Right now there is a lot of… tension between us. Every kiss ignites the desire for more, for more of him. I know he feels it too.

Zoey, Tori, and I are still good friends although I moved out of the dorm room we shared and into the Royal Five building.

"Let's party!" Chala screamed as she moved her body to the beat of Hips Don't Lie. Hannah was grooving too. They are both really good dancers. The Volturi are having a Christmas party at a rented dance hall and there are a lot of people here from LDV and neighboring schools. Everyone was dancing, laughing, and having a great time. It's a semiformal so the girls are all dressed in stylish dresses and the boys have on dress pants, collared shirts, and ties.

The DJ started the next song and Hannah and Chala squealed. I recognized the song to be Teach Me How To Dougie by Cali Swag District, an American rap group. Hannah and Chala launched into this amazing routine and a circle formed around them, cheering them on. They had big smiles on their faces and were really getting down. It was super entertaining to watch. The song ended and a group of five girls stepped forward. I didn't recognize them from LDV.

"So you think you can dance better than us?" one girl with brown skin and short curly hair challenged, eyes throwing daggers at Chala and Hannah.

Chala and Hannah exchanged a look and sucked their teeth. "I don't think, I know." Chala replied with confidence.

"Prove it." said another one of the five girls, this one with long blonde hair and a snobbish uplift to her nose.

"No problem." Hannah smirked.

"Ladies." Chala called, and three girls from the dance team at LDV, Caprice, Pippa, and Stella stepped out from the crowd and joined Hannah and Chala.

"DJ." Hannah called. Run It by Chris Brown began to play and the girls exploded into a perfectly in synch dance routine. Demetri, Alec, Felix, and I cheered with pride and amusement.

"That's my sister!" Alec and Dem yelled. The other group of girls was dancing back and everyone in the building was cheering and hooting and clapping. Chala and Hannah's group finished the song in a perfectly unified posed. The other group just faltered to an uncoordinated stop. Everyone erupted in cheers. Felix stepped between the two groups and said, "Okay, we are gonna let the crowd choose the winners." He placed his hands over the heads of the other girls. They got a little applause and a few whoops. Then Felix placed his hand over Hannah and Chala's group and the room exploded in a din of applause and cheers.

"And the winners are Hannah and Chala Volturi and the LDV dancers, Caprice, Pippa, and Stella!" Felix's proud voice boomed throughout the room. We all cheered and continued to dance and socialize into the midnight hours.
