The cave was what I expected and was quite used to however what I was not expecting was the sudden pressure within my chest or the need to turn and flee. My breathing was short and ragged as I froze in place neither able to move farther or flee, the memories of my time spent captive rushing back.
'Black, solid inpercievable blackness greets me as my eyes flutter open, cursing my slip up with my cover identity I begin to process that i'm the captive of a group of human smugglers. The fear hits then begining at the tip of my eyelashes and crawling downward settling in my feet and sapping my capabilities to think. Franticly my hands seek out my keys but the anguished cry that escapes my thraot alerts my mind to the fact that my hands are coming up empty. Shaking I fall to my knees unable to support my weight and handle the raggid harsh breathing and constriction in my throat. Forgong all reason and logic I search outward with my magic for the familair precense of one of my spirits. Predictably im met with silence and then finally do I allow the tears to fall and cascade controlessly as the dispair finally fills all of me."
Faintly I can distinguish a voice in the background that seems to be getting closer and closer. Irritated enough to finally focus and take a full breath I turn my head to find sting eyeing me not only suspiciously while he calls my name but with his hand hovering out as though to touch me but unsure. Shame washes over then and I realize with a bitter taste inside my mouth that I just showed how truly weak I was infront of a man who allready saw me as worthless. The dark place inside me chooses now to rear its head and in a blinding rage of shame and pain I curl my fist over my key and silently reach out to Aries. Using a skill I hadn't been aware of before now I focus on connecting my thoughts with her and resist the urge to startle as she responds within my mind, "is that wise...the weather is dangerous". I scoff at the thought as the dark place caressing my temper and whispers reassurances. Aries agrees silently for in the next instance the cave is filled with her wool and im up and running. The only noise behind me is the frustrated cussing of Sting as he fruitlessly tries to cut through the wool. Forgoing my exhaustion, my still recovering body and the tingling sensation on the back of my neck as I enter into the forest and the night thats so close to erupting with mother natures wrath I steal one glance back at the cave and frown as I leave the closest thing to a teammate I have had since the betrayel of fairytail.
