Chapter 05
The Couple that made it the Fifth Time
Akashi Seijuurou x Furihata Kouki
A/N: Whew! The second to the last chapter! I knew this would be a bit terrifying because the GoM captain is ready to meet his love life! Here goes!
The Generation of Miracles managed to get a cabin for their own with their respective partners. However, Akashi was lacking one.
Akashi Seijuurou was the type of person who could be terrifying among the other members of GoM. Being the captain of the former famous team, he became the sole authority. He was feared more when that pair of scissors suddenly appeared in his hands. This could mean something bloody, as Aomine said. Nonetheless, Akashi was still alone.
The heterochromatic-eyed teen was sitting in a cozy chair near the fireplace. He thought of how one Furihata Kouki will notice him. It had been so much ago when they first met in the meeting of the GoM during the Winter Cup. Then, they fought with each other at the championship of the Winter Cup in which Seirin had won. Akashi noticed that there's something in this brown-haired boy that caught his attention, although others would say that Furihata was quite weak at most things. But after that, they haven't seen each other until now. If it's not because of the party, Akashi would've not seen Furihata at all.
"Akashi-kun, are you okay?" asked Kuroko by his side. The pale blue-haired teen would always be there for Akashi whenever he's alone. He was considered by Akashi as his 'younger brother'.
"I am, Tetsuya. Don't worry." Akashi forced a smile which would make everyone believe he was happy all along. But it seemed that Kuroko had noticed something deeper within that smile of Akashi.
And as chance was right, Akashi's expression turned into a more saddening one. Kuroko patted him at the back and the redhead seemed to be at ease with that.
"Akashi-kun, what does your problem have to do with? Can I help?" Kuroko concernedly asked the redhead. Akashi slowly nodded in approval.
"It's Furihata Kouki, your present teammate at Seirin. I…began to like him when we had that battle before. People would say he is weak, but for me, that weakness of him is his strength." Akashi revealed all of his thoughts to Kuroko, who was listening intently to him.
"I never knew Akashi-kun could have a sense of romance…" Kuroko said plainly which put a scowl on Akashi's face. The bluenette smiled at Akashi's reaction.
"Shut up Tetsuya!" Akashi's voice was too loud that the others heard it. They looked into the area where Akashi and Kuroko were.
"Is there a problem Akashi?" Midorima asked, moving Takao a bit away from him.
"You… seemed angry…." Aomine shuddered at the gaze Akashi was making. Kise flinched.
"Aka-chin, you okay?" Murasakibara asked.
"I'm fine… Get back to what you're doing." Akashi responded and the others went back to their 'business'.
After that commotion, Kuroko decided to go out of the cabin and went to the hut of his team. He scanned the place to look for Furihata and successful he was. The brown-haired boy was listening to music on the side.
"Furihata-kun…" Kuroko said.
"Oh, Kuroko!" Furihata replied then moved to remove his earphones. "Is something the matter?" he added.
"May I have some of your minutes? I would like to talk to you about something…" Kuroko said plainly. Furihata nodded and followed Kuroko outside the hut.
Kuroko and Furihata reached the event center and sat on a bench near the cabin of the GoM. As they were settled, Kuroko started to talk.
"Do you remember Akashi-kun, our former captain?" Kuroko asked and Furihata was taken aback at the name Kuroko mentioned.
"Uh y-yeah! Why did you asked?" Furihata asked nervously. He could feel his body tensed.
"He wants to talk to you about something. Maybe tonight will be available for you." Kuroko replied and Furihata stared at him in wonder.
'I wonder… Why would that scary man talk to me about something?' Furihata thought and quickly made up his mind. "Alright! I will go to see him…" he said with excitement and nervousness at the same time.
"Okay. Don't worry…he's not going to kill you or something. Don't feel unnerved." Kuroko assured and Furihata nodded hesitantly but accepted it.
The said brown-haired boy could feel pressure on his body as he would be going to meet up with Akashi Seijuurou. The thought of the redhead made Furihata shudder at the moment. But he quickly discarded the thought and went to the meeting place Kuroko mentioned to him earlier.
"Hmm… Very cold…" Furihata shivered from the cold wind that winter had brought up.
"Not really…" a voice from behind him broke his train of thought. He quickly faced the person who possessed that deep and unnerving voice.
"A-akashi-kun? H-hi!" Furihata stuttered but managed to raise one hand to greet the redhead. Akashi smiled at the gesture Furihata made.
"Hello Kouki. It's been a while…" Akashi waved his hand too, returning the greeting to Furihata.
"Y-yeah… It's been a while…. How are you?" Furihata initiated the conversation. Akashi didn't answer and made his way in front of Furihata.
"I'm great… Now that I have seen you again." Akashi smiled genuinely. Furihata never thought Akashi could smile so warmly despite his strong personality.
"Uh okay… Would we like to be frozen here while talking about important things?" Furihata broke the momentum and Akashi nodded approvingly at the brown-haired boy's suggestion.
The two of them went inside the cabin of GoM where everyone was sleeping peacefully. Kagami was hugging Kuroko tightly. Aomine had his thighs straddled on Kise's. Midorima was pushing Takao's face away from his own. Murasakibara cuddled Himuro on his chest. Furihata couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"See how they were sleeping? Quite sweet eh?" Akashi said with a hint of pain in his voice. Furihata nodded and sat on the chair near the fireplace.
"Anyways, what are we going to talk about then?" Furihata asked as Akashi sat beside him, the exact position of him and Kuroko earlier.
"I like you, Kouki." Akashi said it and Furihata widened his eyes on what he heard. The brown-haired boy took time to comprehend what Akashi said to him.
"Y-you l-like m-me?" Furihata stuttered as he blushed deeply. He could feel his own heartbeat thumping on his chest.
"Yes. Ever since I saw you at that match… I knew you were something." Akashi confessed and Furihata suddenly stood up from his chair.
"How could a tyrant possibly like an idiot?" Furihata tried to be sarcastic and it was a failure. Akashi chuckled lightly at the thought.
"You don't need to put up our differences, Kouki. Just appreciate it." Akashi said with calmness in his voice.
"And besides, we're both boys. I have a girl that I love and it won't change everything." Furihata said but quickly felt guilty at what he said. He knew he'd hurt Akashi's feelings.
"I don't care if you wouldn't like me back… Seeing you happy to whatever you want means a lot to me… But the thing is… are you really happy with that one-sided love you have for the girl?" Akashi pierced Furihata's heart with his words. The brown-haired boy flinched at that and bowed sadly.
"I d-don't know…It's too much to take…" Furihata tried to hold back the tears he had. Akashi stood there, observing how Furihata was reacting. 'What does this man know anyway?' the brunette thought as if he was pissed by how smart Akashi was, even more with that Emperor Eye of his.
"And here I am, like you, having that one-sided love that cripples my veins every time I think of rejection. We're not perfect to be not hurt, Kouki. But we can make a way to cure that pain which kills us inside." Akashi said with much emotion that brought Furihata to his knees. It's too much for the brown-haired boy.
"Would you…love me more then?" Furihata suddenly asked and Akashi just smiled and lifted Furihata for a kiss. The kiss was tender, as expected. Akashi tried to be gentle for Furihata's sake. But as the brown-haired boy responded, the redhead burned in much fervor and deepened the kiss. Soft moans and sighs were heard from the two as they savored each other's mouth.
"Now I know…" Furihata smirked playfully and Akashi blushed at the action.
"What?" Akashi managed to ask. Furihata sat down and looked at Akashi happily. The redhead automatically smiled too. Even though they were exactly different, everything was sorted out and it produced a very satisfying result.
"Nothing. I love you, Sei-chan." Furihata finally called Akashi by his first name.
"That's only for you, Kouki. I love you too." Akashi replied and they kissed once more in front of the fireplace.
Heat plus heat will really make you sweat… Oh well…
