"Mom, how come we always move? Why can't we stay here?"
Mom sighed for the fifth time today.
We were leaving the small village that we just moved into a couple of months ago. And now here we were. Packing our bags, getting ready to leave again.
"Dear, I've told you this a bunch of times. We are in debt with these people and we need to keep moving so they won't find us." She said, placing her remaining clothes in her bag.
I frowned. "I don't understand what they want from us. Dad is gone. Shouldn't they just leave us alone?"
"Sometimes life isn't fair. Bad things will follow you everywhere you go. The past will always stay with you." She said, picking up her bag. "You ready to go?".
I picked up my bag and nodded.
Somehow I knew I didn't believe her about those people coming for us because of dads debts. Maybe they were after mom. Maybe they were after me.
I groaned as I placed my hand on my forehead, feeling completely weak.
What happened back there? Who were those guys?
"Glad to see you're finally awake, I didn't think I used that much force on you." A voice spoke out from behind me.
I shot up in a sitting position, completely regretting it and hissed at the pain in my head.
I felt two hands on my shoulder pull me down gently.
"Not so fast, shortcake. You need some rest."
I turned my head around to see the person who was speaking to me. It was dad.
He smiled softly at me.
"You're safe. The men were taking care of. Though your mother...she's-"
"Dead? I know dad" I said, glancing up at the sky, trying to keep the tears from falling for my eyes.
Right when we were finally together as a family, something bad happens. It was just me and dad now, on our own.
I heard dad sigh. "You're mother was a brave woman you know. One of the strongest ninjas I've ever met."
"She was a ninja?" I spoke out, completely surprised.
Dad chuckled."She sure was. She was widely known as the 'Hurricane of the Hidden Leaf'. She was a firecracker."
I looked up at dad. "How come she never told me about her being a ninja?"
Dad reached his hand over my hair, and started running his fingers through my brown tresses. "I don't know the answer to that. But I can tell you, it probably had do with something that made everyone hate her."
"And what was that?"
"She was the child of an Uchiha and Senju."
My eyes widen. Two of the most powerful clans. Both clans that hated each other.
"And with her being the child of two powerful clans, came fall outs within the clans. But there was a reason why she was hated so much. She wasn't born with the sharinggan but instead she somehow got the wood-style jutsus like the First Hokage."
I sat up and glanced at dad.
He had a serious look on his face.
"They were after her blood. That's why we had to move a lot when I was younger." I spoke out softly.
Dad looked down at me. "They weren't just after her, but you as well. Uchiha and Senju blood run through your body."
Before I could respond, Dad raised he's hand up and stopped me. "No more talking about that. Right now, we should worry about your training. I'll promise to tell you anything you want to know, but not now." He stood up and gathered our things.
I nodded, standing up, stalking after him.
Somewhere in a clearing..
Kakashi's POV
"Kill me Kakashi-kun."
My eyes widen at Rin.
"I'm not going to kill you, idiot! Why in the hell would you want me to?!" I spat out angrily.
"They are going to use me as bait for the three-tails jinnchuriki. They are going to use me to destroy my home! Please kill me!" She said, begging me.
I shook my head, immediately seeing an enemy coming towards us.
"Chidori- Lightning Cutter!"
There was silence. My eyes couldn't move from the sight in front of me.
Rin ran into my attack.
She was hit by my Lightning Cutter.
"K-Kakashi...t-thank you." She said, coughing up blood.
Tears built up in my eyes. I quickly removed my hand from Rin, catching her before she landed on the ground.
I cried hard. Another one of my comrades dead. Because of me.
Why must God hate me so much?
I gently placed Rin on the muddy ground and stood up with my head down.
"You will all pay for this." I said, getting my Chidori ready.
"Prepare to die, bastards!"
Good? Bad? Okay?
Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter!
I'm planning on having a time skip soon but don't know which chapter yet lol.
