Chapter 8

It's been a few months since the Nine Tails Fox attack. Building were now almost done being rebuilt. People started feeling safe again. There had been more ANBU keeping an extra eye on the borders of the villages just in case of another attack.

Since I moved here, I became a chunnin. I had taken the exams two months ago, passing it was easy.

I don't see Kakashi that much. He's been off doing missions for ANBU. I sometimes wish he'd be off work more often.

Since that attack, Kakashi and I grew closer. We got to know each other better. We were comfortable near each other. Even though I loved him, I knew I'd have to wait a while before he'd returned my feelings or even if he will. Lord knows what goes through that hard head of his.

"Ah~ if it isn't my love!" I heard a man shot behind me.

I turned around to see the one and only Might Gai. I weakly smiled at him. "Hey, Gai-san."

He grinned, giving me a thumbs up. "How is my beautiful woman doing today?"

"I'm great, how about you?" I said, hoping this conversation would end soon. Don't get me wrong, Gai isn't a bad guy..but sometimes he can be a bit too much.

"I'm as youthful as always!"

Scratch that. He's just plain weird.

"Sayuri! Lets go get lunch!" I heard feminine voice speak out. I grinned when I release who was behind Gai.

It was Anko.

"Anko! Good timing, lets go. Bye Gai-san!" I yelled out to Gai.

I walked over to her and wrapped my arm around hers and dragged her away quickly.

She smirked, lookin over her should then a me. "Men troubles already , Sayuri? Haha."

I released my arm off her. "You for even know the start of it."

She laughed and motioned for me to follow her. "Come on, lets go get some food."

We went to a little sushi bar in that village. We made out way towards a booth and sat down. We order out food began talking about our day.

"So, any news from him?" Anko said, taking a sip of her drink.

I frowned and shook my head. "Sadly no. I haven't heard from since the day he left and that was a month ago."

Anko shrugged her shoulders. "I'm sure he'll be home soon. Don't worry about it."

I sighed, taking a gulp of my drink.
"Yeah, I guess."

Anko grinned and patted my hand. "Maybe we should go out tonight. I heard there's a festival happening tonight."

I raised an eyebrow. "Don't you have a mission tomorrow? You shouldn't be staying out late, you know."

She rolled her eyes. "You're such a goody two shoes, Sayuri. Come on, this will get your mind off things, off of him." She clasped her hands together and gave me a 'puppy dog' look.

I groaned. "Fine, fine! But only for a little while. I don't want to be out too late, you here?"

Anko nodded her head fiercely.

After eating, I bid my goodbyes to Anko and headed to the park. There was kids playing on the playground, parents sitting on the benches, watching their kids.
I smiled and made my way to a bench and sat down.

I breathed in the fresh air. It was a bit chilly out. It was in the middle of March, spring would be coming up soon.

I closed my eyes, resting my head on the back of the bench. Time sure does fly by. It's been four years since mom died, five months since dad left for his 'research', and a month since Kakashi left.

"Miss! Look out!"

I snapped my eyes open, only to see a ball coming towards me fast. I quickly raised my hand and focused my eyes on the flying ball.

Wind Release: Reflection.(I know it isn't real, but I couldn't think of a jutsu that reflects things)

The ball was reflected back towards the little kid. The kids mouth dropped, his eyes gleaming in astonishment.

"Woah, Miss, are you a ninja!?" He grinned.

I smiled and nodded my head, standing up from the bench.

He ran up to me, his medium length black hair dancing in the wind. He was an Uchiha.

"Can you teach me that?! I'm a fast learner. Please!" He yelled out, jumping up and down.

I giggled. "I'd love to, but I'm not sure your clan would appreciate that."

He frowned. "B-But, that looks more cooler than learning fire jutsus that I always have to learn."

I shuffled his hair and kneeled down in front of him. "Maybe if you ask your parents, then I'll teach you all you want to know."

He grinned and nodded his head.

I stood up. "Meet me here around the same time tomorrow with an answer. I'll be here. See you.."

He grinned at me. "It's Shisue!"

"See you later, Shishi."

I exited the park and headed towards my apartment I was living in. I unlocked the door and made my way inside.

Home sweet home.

I made my way down the hallway and went into the bathroom to take a shower. After the shower, I headed towards my bedroom and put on a light green yukana with clover patterns all over it. It hugged all my curved. I walked over to the mirror and placed light make up on, fixing my hair so that it was a bun. And with a finishing touch, I placed a flower in my bun. Perfect.

I went into the kitchen, heading towards the fridge and grabbed the water pitcher. I placed it on the counter and grabbed a glass from the cabinet and placed it next to it. Grabbing the pitched, I poured myself a glass. I took a huge gulp of the water, letting the coolness flow down my throat.

-Knock, Knock-

I raised an eye brow ad headed towards the front door. Who could be here?

I fixed myself and opened the door. My jaw dropped at the sight in front of me.

It was Kakashi.

He scratched his head, his eyes crinkling, showing that he was smiling under his mask. He wore his usual attire, ANBU armour.

"Hey there. I was hoping if I could..err...stay here with you for a little bit. My house seems to be infested with...bugs." He said.

I looked at him in disbelief. "Live here with me?"

He nodded his head. "Yes. If you don't mind, that is. I can always go room with Gai..but I don't know about that."

I smiled. "I have an extra room. I don't mind."

"Great. Thanks, Sayuri." He said, giving me another eye crinkle.

"No problem. Come on in. You can placed your stuff by the door, I'll go set up your room."

He nodded, grabbing his bags and coming inside.

I turned around and headed down the hallways, reaching the spare room in the far left. I opened the door and peered inside.

It looked like a well enough room for him. There was no cobwebs for yet. The walls were a pale blue color. Perfect for a man.

"Is this my room?" A voice whispered in my ear.

I jolted, causing the said person to be pushed back as well. I looked behind me to see Kakashi, rubbing his jaw.

"Sorry, you scared me. And yes, this is where you'll be staying. I'll go get the bedro-"

-Knock, Knock-

My eyes widen. Shit, I totally forgot about Anko.

Kakashi raised an eyebrow. "Expecting someone?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah. Look, the bedroll is in the closet. I'm sorry but I have to love actually."

Kakashi nodded. "Where are you going?"

I bit my lip. "A festival with Anko."

"Ah. Thats why you're so dressed up. Well, thanks for letting me stay. Have a good night."

I nodded and headed towards the door. I opened it to see a frustrated Anko.

"Geeze, took you long enough. But hey, you look hot. Lets go!" Anko said, pulling me out the door.

I have a feeling this is going to be a long night.
