A/N: Hello everyone. Thank you ValkyrieNights for favoriting and following this fic.

-Equinoxwolf- I answered your review personally, but I hope this new chapter clears up something.

Ganondorf dragged his feet through the grassland. He kept thinking back to Hylia. After several hours, the burning anger he felt had burned to an ember and now all that remained was sorrow. He had wanted to be by her side. There had to be a way to return back. A way for her to accept him. Ganondorf looked up as he walked into a dense forest.

He wondered where he was going, but didn't questioned it too much as he allowed his feet carry him where they wished. The sound of Bokoblin screeches made him stop. He knew that Bokoblins were Demise's main requites. He looked at the tall brush and hid in its green shelter. He watched as crowd burst through the green ahead of him. There were dozens of Bokoblins and Moblins, but Ganondorf could hear many more that were still hidden. The sound of loud crunching announced the arrival of the last person that Ganondorf wanted to see.

The demon king stepped out confidently holding a thick chain. He pulled on the chain and grinned at a pained gasp. Ganondorf used his eyes to follow the chain. It led to a collar-like piece of metal wrapped around a teenage boy's neck. Ganondorf squinted as he tried to place where he saw the boy's face before. Then it hit him like a ton of stones; it was Merek's son, Ghirahim. The sorcerer looked at the figure not believing that the mischievous child could end up in Demise's grasp. He growled lowly to himself at the thought of Demise harming the boy. This protective feeling shocked Ganondorf, but he knew it stemmed from the years he had looked after Link and Pipit. Ganondorf shook his head, not believing that he had a soft spot for kids.

"Please, Sir. I really need to go," Ghirahim's voice said pleading to the demon king.

The taller man smacked the child, making Ganondorf growl again. "I told you to call me Master," Demise said.

Ghirahim narrowed his eyes, "Demise, I demand the right to relieve myself." Ganondorf would have applauded the boy for his defiance. The sound of flesh hitting flesh scared the birds in the trees. The young man was on the ground looking up at the fire-haired demon. "Master," Ghirahim finally said with sarcasm dripping from his tone. The demon king gave him a look before unhooking the chain from the collar. Ghirahim sprang up and ran to the bushes beside Ganondorf.

The teen stopped as the two made eye contact. Ganondorf held a finger to his lips to keep the child from crying out. The white-haired boy nodded his head and gave Ganondorf a circle motion with his own finger. The older male turned away giving the younger privacy as he relieved himself. "Boy, what is taking you so long?" Demise shouted.

Ghirahim stepped back in front of the bush and dragged his feet back to Demise's side. The demon king latched the chain leash to the teen's collar. The white-haired boy looked at the spot where Ganondorf hid and gave a small nod. The older man knew the teen was going to keep his location a secret.

A sudden idea came to his head. Ganondorf knew how to return to Hylia. He had to destroy Demise. And the best way to do that was to get close to him. He gathered his courage and stood up from his hiding spot. Immediately all of the Bokoblins screeched and Ghirahim's eyes widened. "Wait," Demise commanded holding out his hand stopping his army. "What are you doing here? Ganondorf was it?" the demon king asked.

"Hylia exiled me unjustly. I have been searching for you," Ganondorf began.

"And this will make me spare your life because?" Demise asked.

"I wanted to serve you. I want to kill Her Grace," Ganondorf lied.

"How can I trust you?" Demise asked.

Ganondorf smiled knowing exactly what to answer, "I murdered her military advisor."

Demise rose his eyebrows impressed. "Here take the worm," he said holding out Ghirahim's chain to him. Ganondorf took it and for show tugged roughly on it. Ghirahim stumbled forward. Demise chuckled pleased. He nodded to his troops and begun his march again. Ganondorf fell behind with Ghirahim.

"I apologize for that," Ganondorf said.

Ghirahim shrugged, "Were you telling the truth?"

Ganondorf looked at the shorter teen and could tell that he could trust the younger. "No," he replied simply.

Ghirahim smiled before getting serious, "Did my guard, Rahzel, make it to your city?"

Ganondorf looked at the princeling who looked back at him desperately. "Yes, but she passed away when the sun set that day," he said as calmingly as possible.

The young noble's brown eyes widen and he shook his head. He looked to the ground before composing himself to look back at Ganondorf. "Was she in pain?" he asked, Ganondorf could see unshed tears in his eyes.

"No, she passed peacefully," Ganondorf said.

"Thank you," came the quiet response. The sorcerer asked why the princeling was thankful for the bad news. Ghirahim answered, "Because now I know that she cannot be harmed further." Ganondorf put his hand on Ghirahim's shoulder to comfort him. The sorcerer now saw what Link and Pipit saw in the young noble. The young princeling was truly noble.

LOZ-LOZ-LOZ-

Link walked away from his brother. He disliked the anger and hatred that flowed from him. The blonde knight went instead to Hylia's study. He knocked softly. "Your Grace, may I enter?" Link asked.

There was a moment of silence before Hylia answered, "Yes, of course Link." Link opened the door and walked in. He gave Hylia a bow. The demi-goddess looked at Link with red-rimmed eyes. The young knight knew she had been crying. "I'm sorry, you shouldn't see me like this," Hylia said wiping at her eyes.

"Are you sad because you sent Ganondorf away? You can always revoke the exile," Link said not wanting his mentor away.

Hylia shook her head, "I did all I could for him. If I didn't sent him away, he wouldn't be able to live here."

"What do you mean?" Link asked.

Hylia looked at him with her sad blue eyes, "You saw Pipit."

"Pipit would never kill an ally," Link said defending his brother.

"How about a traitor?" Hylia asked. Link shifted uncomfortably. "If it wasn't your brother, then another one of the knights would have eliminated him or hire someone to do in their steed."

Link looked down and asked, "Wasn't there anything else we could do for him?"

Hylia sighed, "All we can do is wait for everyone to calm enough to listen to him."

Link couldn't answer this, but knew that Her Grace was truly sorrowful at Ganondorf's banishment.
