A/N: Hi everyone, Happy New Year. Hope this new year is a good one. Thank you Mkad07 for following and favoriting this fic.

-Mkad07- Thank You for your view. It was a beautiful illustration of what has happened so far. It actually made me slightly sad.

Ghirahim didn't know how to respond to Link's question. He could lie, but the blonde's blue eyes seemed to plea for the truth. The white-haired teen opened his mouth to speak. "I'm so sorry, Link," he began. Link's face dropped all color drained from his face. The blonde quickly stepped up to the white-haired teen and grabbed the front of his shirt. The blonde looked at Ghirahim like he wanted to shout at him for lying. Link restrained himself opening his mouth to ask with a shaking voice, "Where is he so I can bury him?" Ghirahim could see tears building up in his blue eyes.

"I'm not telling you," Ghirahim said; he knew that Link would try to go back. Link shook Ghirahim slightly as he shouted at him to tell the location of the body. "If I tell you, you'll be killed," Ghirahim shouted at last, tears burning his eyes. Link loosen his grip slightly. "I can't lose anyone else," Ghirahim said lowering his head as he shook it. The white-haired teen watched as the knight released his hold the princeling's tattered rags.

The blonde knight turned away from the group trying to remain strong, but Ghirahim could hear his sobs. Midna stepped toward Link and draped her arm around his shoulders. "Shh, it's okay. They are all in a better place. The goddesses will watch over them," Midna whispered softly. Link turned toward the Twili and buried his head into her shoulder. After a moment of silence, she spoke up again. "We should get moving. If we stay here, Demise will find us."

Link's green hat bobbed in agreement and the knight straightened his posture. The blonde looked at the other two before speaking, "We'll head north-east of here. There is an abandoned fort that still may have supplies." Ghirahim and Midna both nodded in agreement. Link walked slowly leading the two.

Ghirahim focused on keeping putting one foot in front of the other. He could feel his empty stomach tightening. It grumbled slightly and Ghirahim winced at how loud it was. Link and Midna turned around to face the prince. Ghirahim blushed embarrassed.

"When was the last time you've eaten?" Midna asked. Ghirahim shrugged indicating that he didn't remember. Midna looked at Link asking an unspoken question.

Link nodded and reached into pouch and pulled out a bright red apple. He tossed it at Ghirahim and the older teen caught it easily. Ghirahim took a bite out of it and grinned at the sweet taste. He took another bite quickly and another. He thought about his etiquette tutor would be furious if he saw the way Ghirahim devoured the fruit. Ghirahim sighed contently before igniting the core. He licked his lips as he noticed his companions shocked faces. Link cleared his throat, "Will stop to eat when we get to the fort. Ghirahim frowned slightly, but he could carry on a little further until the group reached shelter.

LOZ-LOZ-LOZ-

Ganondorf looked over the destruction with a sigh. After Demise killed Hylia, the battle turned in favor of the demon king. The demon's army slaughtered any Hylian that didn't run away immediately. Ganondorf had tried to search for survivors, but failed to find one. The sorcerer also looked at each corpse as he hoped that his young friends were not among them. He didn't see Link or Ghirahim which gave the red-head hope that they managed to escape the massacre.

Ganondorf made sure that no one was watching and he walked to where the bodies of Pipit and Hylia lay. He couldn't mourn for them in front of the demons but he would bury them properly before anyone noticed. The entire process didn't take too long because he couldn't take the time to properly do so. "Ganon," Demise called out. The sorcerer turned to face the fire-headed demon.

"My lord," Ganondorf greeted politely.

"I need you to take a platoon and search for any Hylians that may have escaped," Demise ordered his eyes bloodthirsty.

"Will we be taking prisoners?" Ganondorf asked.

Demise chuckled amused. "Leave no trace of Hylia's kingdom." Ganondorf lowered his head like he understood even though the command disgusted him. Ganondorf walked away to search for the company. "Oh, and Ganondorf if you find the little prince, bring him back to me. I'm not done with him," Demise said to Ganondorf's retreating back.

Ganondorf turned to Demise with no emotion on his face. "Yes, my lord," Ganondorf said seriously. The sorcerer then turned and continued his path to find more soldiers.

With a large group of Bokoblins around him, Ganondorf led the way to a nearby forest. He looked through the trees half-heartedly. He didn't care to find any Hylians. The bokoblins around him scrambled in multiple directions shrieking. Ganondorf continued down the game trail he was currently on.

He heard a twig snap and he pivoted to the sound. A pair of blue eyes looked back at him shocked. "Ganondorf," Link said almost questioningly. The young knight took a small step forward before Ganondorf held his hand to stop the teen's movement.

"You need to get out of here immediately," Ganondorf said quietly. Link looked at him still unsure, but put out his arm as if to stop someone behind him. Ganondorf looked over Link's head to see a young Twili girl looking back at him with distrust. Behind the Twili stood Ghirahim who gave him a smile.

"You should come with us," Ghirahim said taking a step forward.

Ganondorf shook his head insistent. He couldn't live his life like a vagabond and besides the best way to eliminate Demise was by getting close to the demon king. "I'll be of more use as Demise's aide. When the time comes, we can all make a move against him." The three teens looked slightly hurt for some reason. "Get out of here," Ganondorf hissed.

Link looked deeply into the Gerudo's eyes as if searching for something. The knight nodded once before turning to his comrades and leading them back into the brush. Ganondorf turned the opposite direction of the group and continued his half-hearted search for survivors.

He heard a bokoblin screech and tried to decipher what the beast was saying. "Let's return to Demise and tell him we couldn't find any Hylians," Ganondorf commanded as he began his trek back to the battlefield. The sorcerer only looked back once. He closed his eyes and prayed to Din that the three teens could find safety.
