"No. That's impossible...you're dead..."
Mai and Ming stared at the man infront of them in disbelief while the others couldn't really understand what was happening. After a short time of saying nothing and just staring, Karana looked at the man closly. He looked hardly familiar to her but she couldn't quite remember the name of him.
Then, with a cry of happiness Mai and Ming leaped forward to hug the man, screaming: "Kai!" 'Wait? Kai. That name says something to me.' thought Karana. Then suddenly she remembered: The quest to find airbenders, where the met the young boy; the battles Korra had fought and where he and his girlfriend helped the former Avatar together with the newly found airnation.
Suddenly she was ripped out of her thoughts by Mai's voice saying: " We need to introduce you someone. Uncle Kai: Meet our friends. That boys are Chang and Liang and the two girls next to them are Hadoka and Avatar Karana." Mai pointed at each of them during her introduction.
The kid's greeted Kai and he greeted them back in return by bowing to each other. "So you are the new Avatar, young girl." asked Kai, although it was more of a statment then a question. "Yes sir." replied Karana a little bit shyly. "There is no need for such formalities. All of you can just call me Kai. I really prefer that over all this formalities and stuff." said Kai with a small chuckle. " So what are you kids doing in this city anyway? Shouldn't you be at the training academy?"
"Yeah about that. We kind of got attacked by some criminals amd then we couldn't find the way back anymore. So we went to the city, because this would be one of the first places the masters would be searching for us." explained Ming. Before Kai could replie anything to that Hadoka and Liang bursted in with a lot of questions: " How come everyone thought you were dead? You dated Jinora, right? Did you and she broke up? When yes, why? How long have you been living here while everyone thought you were dead?How old are you?.." the two would have gone on like this for a long time, wouldn't they been shused by their older siblings who holded their hands infront of their mouths. Kai chuckeld: " Don't worry. I will answer all of your questions you have. Let's start with the day the "Dark Lord" began to take over the world..."
He and his followers began to capture inocent benders and non-benders. Practically everyone who wasn't an earthbender. Only people who were extrem rich and could buy off the "Dark Lord" escaped the imprisonments. We never got the chance to free this prisoners. Nobody knew were they were held. Avatar Korra and her friends decided to split the airnation up in order to search for the imprisoned people. It didn't go well. Many of us were captured or killed. During that time, Jinora and I decided to just be friends. I knew she wanted kids but I couldn't make that wish come true because if I would be killed I would never get the chance to see my children. So I went to help the united forces in the eastern part of the earth kingdom. Team Avatar and I stayed in contact for a long time but suddenly I didn't get any calls or letters from them for a long time. So I went back to Republic City to check out what had happened. It was horrorfying: Half of the city was destroyed, the spirit wilds that were supposed to protect the portal were under the control of the "Dark Lord" and some areas of the city were completly whipped out. After a while of searching I found the remaining Team Avatar. I found out that Avatar Korra and Jinora had been killed but I also found out that Jinora got two children with a non-bender: That was when I first met you Mai and Ming. The five years that followed I helped raising those two. Me and the others acted like uncles and aunts to them, well except for Opal. The kids sometimes called her mum and she acted that way too. When Mako, Bolin and me went on patrol someday, everything possible went wrong. We were discovered and chased by our enemies, then we were trapped in some building and if that wasn't already enough they decided to destroy the building with us still inside. My two companions came out alive but when they didn't found me after the explosion of the building they sayed that I was dead. I was to weak to cry for help and after a while I fell unconcious. If it wasn't for a nice eldery woman who took me in and nursed me back to health I wouldn't be here right now.
With that Kai ended his story and looked the children in the eyes: " I have the feeling that you kids are very special but I can't tell why. Karana how many elements can you already bend?" "Three. Earth, Fire and Air. " replied Karana to his question. "Good and how good are you in bending them?" he asked further. " I'm a master in earthbending. I'm half a master in firebending and I don't have any experience with airbending since I just discovered yesterday that I could airbend." replied Karana again. " Interesting. Very interesting. How about I teach you airbending and let you and your friends live here in exchange of all of you helping me with the orphans and prisoners I free from the prisons, orphanages and streets. Deal?" suggested Kai.
The kids looked quickly at each other then Ming spoke up: " Okay deal. When can we start?" "Whohoho. Hold on. First I need to get some things for you. I'll be back in a few hours." said Kai.
After a few hours he returned with a big sack on his bag. "I figured you could use these things to move safely around town." he said and then showed the kids the contents. "These are some of the best weapons made in the whole world. I know it's pretty old-fashioned but they really will help you. Then I have some cloaks with hoods like I wear it for you. I will train each of you with one weapon that suits you and your bending best. Hadoka come here." Hadoka stepped ifront of him. " You're a waterbender, right?" said girl nodded. "Okay. I will give you this outfit a suit similar to that of the airbenders only it is in the traditonal watertribe colours and in order to hide your face from enemies I have this special blue cloak with a hood for you. " first he handed her a suit that looked hardly familiar to the one he wore only it was coloured in different shapes of blue instead of red. The cloak he handed her was beautiful light blue with a small silver ribbon. "And my weapon for you is this whip. It can help save people but also hurt your enemies. It's made out of a material that can't be destroeyed by firebending." added Kai, handing her a one and a half meter long brown whip. "Thanks." said the girl with a bow and run off to trie on the new clothes.
"Liang. You're next. For you I have this simply boots and some fireproof pants in black and a simple long sleeve shirt in olive green. Together with your brown cloak you will be looking like a normal citizen. "And to not forget your weapon: a few metal daggers. If you can't metalbend until now it doesn't matter you can just throw them." explained Kai and handed said boy th things. Liang bowed too and went also away to try on the new stuff.
Chang was up next. Kai gave him a ninja like outfit together with a dark crimson coloured cloak. As weapon he got an airbending like staff to attack enemies and create firestorms with it. After that came Mai and Ming both of them got the typical airnation outfit and as weapons for Mai two sharp knives and for Ming a boomerang wich contained two blades wich could be currugated when needed. Both twins got identical light red coloured cloaks. After the twins it was finally Karana's turn to reiceive a weapon and new outfit. "For you young Avatar I have an oufit similar to the training suits used for probending, only that these here are not so thick like them and that they are made of some nearly weightless material." said Kai and handed her the olive green outfit together with a dark green cloak. Her weapon was the best part of it: A bow and several arrows. She had often see the villagers hunt wiht them and even tried to use them for herself.
When the children were all clothed, they followed Kai to an large area. Small tents and campfires were everywhere in the area. Kids were running around chasing each other and the adults were talking at the campfire. Kai cleared his throat to get everyone's attention and pushed the children infront of him.
"Look who I found in a room of our hideout: The new Avatar together with her friends and guess who is one of them: The children of my former girlfriend master Jinora: Mai and Ming." he exclaimed. From everwhere came murmers of "Unbelovable." " The real Avatar." "No way!" "Maybe those are the kids from the great prophecy."
When the murmers finally died down and everybody went back to their normal duties, Kai leaded the children to a free fireplace. "You can wait here I will prepare a tent for you to sleep in." he said and went off to do so.
"So what are we going to do now? We need to help those people." murmered Mai. "Yeah. You know, maybe we could bring them to fight back. Maybe some of them will help us take down the "Dark Lord". So much years have passed since he took over the world. It's time to end his reign. He has terrorized the people of this world enough." said Karana. Then she looked everybody in the eyes and said:"Guys we need a plan. A plan to take down the "Dark Lord"." Everbody nodded in agreement. They would train, train and develop a plan to take the "Dark Lord" down.
Suddenly they heared a voice behind them that sounded like it belonged to a ten year old girl: "Oh my gosh. Is it true are you really the Avatar? That is so cool! I always wanted to meet him or her. Can you tell me a story about your past lives? Do you still know what you have done back then? How was it to be poisoned by Zaheer or to defeat Kuvira? Oh, damn it I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sakura. I'm practically Kai's adoptive daughter. Uhh, should I show you my favourite place here? Besides what are your names my adoptive daddy didn't tell your names..." the small girl went bubbling on bubbling about some other stuff while Chang whispered to Karana: "Wow that girl can talk more and faster than your sister." Karana nodded to that statement before politly interupting the girl: "So, Sakura right? Well I'm Karana and this is my sister Hadoka and our friends Chang and Liang and Mai and Ming. Can I ask you how old you are?" The six kids looked at the girl closly: She was sure young not older than 10,11 or 12; she wore a sparkling green dress with a green bow around her waist and another green bow in her shoulder lenght lightbrown hair, which she let freely fall on her shoulders; also she had light green eyes.
"I'm eleven. Can I trust you?" said Sakura. "Of course you can trust us. Why?" resured Mai tge little girl. "Because I need to show you something. Come on." with that words the girl motioned them to follow her.
They did and after a while of walking they came to a big room that looked like a library."Come. I need to show you a special book." said Sakura and pulled an ancient looking book out of shelve with lots of old and torn looking books. "This is the book of destiney. Of course nobody knew that until Kai discovered it in a old temple of the airnation years ago. He hid it under all this ancient and old books because then, he belived it wouldn't be so easy to be found but one year ago me and my friends discovered it when I accidently bumped against this shelve. What I want to show you is this: The last words of Avatar prophecy of the new Team Avatar." the girl showed them a page in the book where the following words stood: 'When darkness took over and all hope seems lost, six children will be born who should defeat the "Dark Lord" with powers noone has ever seen and one of the children will be the master of all elements the new Avatar, the other five should guide him or her and together as team restore balance on earth.'
"That's great, but why are you showing us this?" asked Karana. "Because from the moment Kai brought you to our place and I saw you six, I had this strange feeling that I need to show you this book and the prophecy. I guessed that maybe you could be the children of this prophecy." replied Sakura shyly and barly audiable. Karana,Hadoka, Chang,Liang,Mai and Ming starred at her with open mouths. "You..you really think we could be the kids of this prophecy?" stuttered Ming. Sakura only nodded as a reply, then she said: "So what are you going to do now? The world needs someone who saves it from the "Dark Lord" and the rebels."
"Wait who are the rebels?" came the question from the Avatar and her friends. Sakura hung her head sadly: "They are a group of terrorists who want to take down the "Dark Lord" with brutal won't back away from anything, not even killing innocent years ago they killed my mother because they suspected her to work together with the "Dark Lord". My father has dissapeared since that day. So I was all alone and on my one. Luckily Kai found me and brought me here to the underground hideout. The home of the underground fighters, a group who try to take back Republic City with peacefull methods." Karana,Hadoka and Mai all mumbeled:"I'm so sorry" and went over to hug the small girl.
Later that night when everyone was asleep,the six kids lay awake in their tent and talked about the things they have heared today."Isn't it strange that in such an ancient book is a prophecy about us?" asked Hadoka. "It's strange that there is even an prophecy about us. I mean who would have thought that some ancient guys or spirits knew that we would be born one day." replied her sister. "And save the world." added Liang "Maybe save the world. Maybe this prophecy isn't about us. It says the new Avatar. That could even be the next after Karana or the next next." said Chang. "Yeah. But you are forgetting one thing: Our powers. They are part of the prophecy too and another thing those were Avatar Korra's last words. Which Avatar should she talk about if not over Karana?" reasoned Mai. "You're right. But guys we have other problems too. Those rebels seem to be extrem dangerous. Over the day I helped a few people and they told me that many of their family members or friends dissapeared or were killed by the rebels but you never guess what they all have in common. They all are earthbenders." told Ming his friends. "All this people asked me if me and my friends could help with that problem. I think they all think that we are the ones of the prophecy." he spoke further. "Then what are we waiting for let's go and beat those rebels!" cried Hadoka enthusiastically,jumping up and throwing her fist into the air. "Lay down again can't just go to the rebel's hideout and attack them. We need a plan and some training. Besides we are deep down in the catacombs and sewers of Republic City. It's like a giant labyrinth down here. Without someone to guide us we would be lost. Except Karana or Liang know how to use seismic sense." said Mai while rolling her eyes at the enthusiams of the young waterbender.
The six friends still talked and laughed silently for a long time with each other. No one not even the carefull watching guards, who looked for any attackers, noticed the dark clothed figure which wore a black cape with a hood which was pulled deeply into the persons face. The person had been there ever since the Avatar and her friends arrived. It has followed them before and had managed to go unnoticed the entire time. The figure smirked as it moved past the guards. The great boss would be very happy to hear the news of the prophecy children. When the person finally got outside it let out an evil laugh. Once their plan for capturing the Avatar and brainwashing her had worked out they would be unstoppable and could finally defeat those stupid rebels. With this thoughts he dissapeared into the dark shadows of the night.
The book of Destiny

'In this book you will find the prophecys and destineys of all the Team Avatar's and the Avatar's themselves. But be assured this is no normal book. As soon as one Avatar dies, the prophecy and destiney of his and his companions is written on a new page in here. There is only one book of this kind in the world. Before you read it you must listen to this warning:You can't change anything that is written in this book not even if you are the person that destiney belongs too. Once your destiney is written down it can't be changed because it's written by higher spiritual powers. The same goes for the prophecys. The prophecys and destineys in this book go down back to the first Avatar . But most importantly is that this destines and prophecies are like written in stone and if any person ever trys to change them or destroy this book then the darkness of the spirits shall overcome him forever.' written by an anonymus Author.

Sakura:
A eleven year old girl with the same special spiritual connection as Jinora. She has shoulder-length brown hair in wich she usally wores a bow in. Her favourite clothes are dresses. She considers herself the only one who can fight while woring a dress. Sakura is and earthbender who can also sandbend. Like every underground fighter she has a weapon. A small dagger she can throw and hit with. She will help Team Avatar sometime in the future.
Kai:
Former boyfriend of Jinora. One of the best friends of Korra's Team Avatar. Was called dead through an accident. Lives with the underground fighters now, which he actually founded.
