"Hello"

"Hi Alex, I just wanted to say sorry about yesterday. If you want, we can take a rain check?"

"well.. i'm kinda free tonight. What about you?"

"yeah, I'm free"

"want to come over?"

"ehmmm..what about your h..husband?"

"ouh..Greg? nah..he won't mind. Besides, tonight is his bowling night!"

"okay then."

"kay, I'll message you my address!"

"How is it that everytime we play, you're more loser than ever? You really have it backwards" House said as he picked up his bowling bag.

"where are you going? We still have another set!" Rob said

"I'm calling it a night" he said glancing his way.

He exited his car, glancing at the unfamiliar car in the driveway. He guessed that is her car. Upon entering, he can hear Sara whining about it's still early to go to bed. Making his way to the living room, he can see Cuddy's sitting at the couch, with Rachel's head on her lap and she's smiling at Sara, who is making a weird and ridiculous excuses to Alex to escape from going to bed. Alex glanced up at House, who was leaning against the doorway with a pleading eyes. Clearing his throat, he entered the living room, making eye contact with Cuddy as she looked up.

"daddy!"

"lets go kid!" He said

"But dadddddd….it's still early"

"no it's not, and you know it. And Rachel's already asleep. Come on, I'll read you a story" House said putting his hand out for Sara to hold, instead she grab onto his leg.

"Sara.." Alex scolded

House looked at Alex and just shrugged, making his way towards Sara's room with her acting like a koala bear.

And that was when Cuddy realized that he looked different. His leg is better, his limp is less pronounced. When he's out of earshot, Cuddy wanted to ask Alex how come his leg is better, but fear of getting caught, instead she asked "what happened to his leg?"

"ouh..that, he had an infarction a long time ago, I know it looks bad. But he's a lot better now, compare to before, if you had meet the Greg that I knew. You wouldn't recognize him" she said.

Cuddy nodded her head, yeah..if only I didn't know him. She glanced at her watch, noting that it's already late. "I think I better make a move now" she said, waking Rachel up so that she can stand and carry her.

"ooo… yeah..would you look at the time! I'll walk you out"

House exited Sara's bedroom, noticing that the living room was empty, he made his way to the hallway only to meet Alex there.

"Hey, I was going to call you"

"What's up?" House asked cheekily

"Lisa's car can't seems to start, so maybe you can check it out for her?" Alex asked

"yeah..sure" he said and followed Alex out to the driveway.

Rachel was already buckled at the back seat, and Cuddy was standing at the driver's side with the car door open when Alex and House exited the front door. Cuddy step aside to make room for him, he entered the car and started the engine, but the car won't start at all. He then popped the bonnet and checked the battery.

"I think your battery is dead or the alternator is busted" House said glancing her way and then he glanced at Alex who was standing next to Cuddy.

"Are you sure? The car seem so fine before I left the house" Cuddy said

House raised his eyebrows "well, it actually can happen you know"

Cuddy just nodded her head and said thanks.

"well, it's late. Why don't you just leave the car here and called the mechanic tomorrow" Alex said

"I guess..I'll just call a cab then"

"Don't be ridiculous! You can just crash here or if you need to go home, Greg can sent you" Alex said looking at him.

House's body stiffen when Alex mentioned his name and this didn't go unnoticed by Cuddy. Clearing her throat she said "Never mind. I can just.."

Clearing his throat, House glanced at Alex and then at Cuddy "let's go" he said, raising his right hand up showing his car key that is already in his hand as he wanted to drive his car into the garage.

Cuddy who doesn't know what to say just nodded and made her way to the back seat to carry Rachel. Alex made her way to House, stood in front of him and pulled his neck down, giving him a peck. "thank you" she said smiling. "and drive carefully"

"will do" House said moving both of his hands that were resting on her hips and stepping back as Cuddy came to stand beside them. Wordlessly, House reached for Rachel.

"Thank you" Cuddy said. House just nodded and carry Rachel towards his car. Cuddy then turned to Alex "thanks again for tonight" giving her a hug.

"you're welcome" Alex said returning the hug. Both of them then glanced at House who is now standing at the driver's side, looking at them. "you better go now, it's late" Alex said.

Cuddy made her way to the car, House smiled at Alex and entered the car as Cuddy closed her door.
