Chapter 7: The Takedown

Midnight, March 1, 1889

At the Docklands, a woman wearing an orange-red hat and an orange dress with short, dark hair and wearing a pair of glasses, makes her way down the dark alleyway after leaving a bar.

Unbeknownst to her, a figure dressed in black was watching her leaving the bar.

Soon, the woman was down the alleyway, walking through the snow-covered ground as she head home.

A while later, she slowed down when she saw a dark figure standing at a dark intersection. As she approached the figure, the figure prepares to draw a knife from its coat.

The woman's blood froze when she saw the knife. Screaming, she tried to back away from the figure, but the figure launched itself quickly towards her.

Just as the woman thought that she was going to end up like the Rippers previous victims, a glove-covered hand slapped the knife away from the figure, shocking the both of them!

The figure turned. Standing behind it was a man dressed in dark-coloured clothes with a dark mask covering his eyes and nose. He was accompanied by a dog that looked like a devil, growling at it angrily, and an orange-haired woman dressed with a purple mask. The man and woman had their arms crossed.

Spooked by the sight of the vigilantes, the figure dropped its knife as it cried out, "Oh lord, no!" Judging from the voice, the witnesses can tell that the figure was also a woman.

The dark-clothed woman then took off running, as the man and dog give chase.

The orange-haired woman came to the woman dressed in orange and said, "Go get the sheriff, now."

The man was no one other than Shaggy in disguise, while the dog was Scooby-Doo. Not long after they helped Daphne, who was wearing a purple mask, escape from prison, they managed to figure out where the Ripper will strike next.

During their rushing towards the alleyway, Shaggy and Daphne devised a plan on how to catch the Ripper. With their dark clothes blending in with the darkness of the night, the managed to shadow the figure they figured to be the Ripper quietly. They saw the Ripper watching its next would-be victim leaving the bar. They saw the Ripper waiting for the woman in the dark alleyway, near the intersection, preparing to strike. And the trio managed to step in at the right time, before the Ripper could claim its next victim.

Shaggy and Scooby were chasing the Ripper, who continued to cry out, "Stay away from me!" and "Oh lord," through the city. While the duo may be tired, their days in running away from monsters paid off as they restlessly pursue the woman.

Soon, the Ripper reached the city's cemetery, and in the process of being frightened by the disguised Shaggy and Scooby, the Ripper tripped over a tree branch, causing her to fell over, allowing Shaggy to pick her up by the collar as he said, "You can't get away. Not after what you've done in my city."

He then pulled the hood off the figures head as he added, "Alice Masters!"

By that point, the trio were standing in front of Fred and Velma's tombstones.
