Hello readers! I received a few PMs and reviews and decided to post a few other chapters to see where this fic goes.

Someone asked me how strong Naruto will be in comparison to the Ninjas of the chakra realm and my answer is the following: Naruto will not have many people who could challenge him in terms of speed, being the son of the Goddess of Flash has its perks and maybe the Raikage A could rival him for short periods of time with his Raiton no Yoroi. In term of power I'd say only the various Kage and S-Rank ninjas could stand before him considering that by flexing his spiritual pressure most people would fall to their knees. Yes, he will be proficient in the use of Kido, but do not expect him to go around firing level 90 Kido spells without a care in the world like Aizen, he is still a teen all things considered and Kido is pretty much unbreakable for those with chakra, again, maybe a Kage level ninja could break a Bakudo #1: Sai because of their strength.

Here a chapter about the early life of Naruto and his development.

A Shinigami among the Ninjas - Chapter 1

(World of the Living – Karakura Town)

Yoruichi reappeared in the normal world via a variation of the Senkaimon developed by Kisuke and immediately searched for his spiritual signature. Once locked onto it, she carefully moved towards her destination paying special attention to the bundle in her arms.

It was a couple of months she didn't see Kisuke and she received word that he opened a candy shop in Karakura Town to further hide himself from Soul Society, apparently this city was full of spiritually aware humans and their combined energy would hide him better from their scouts.

She arrived at the front of the shop and spared a glance at the dingy exterior before marching straight to the door and entered quietly, trying not to disturb the babe in her arms.

Yoruichi silently made it to the living room before a quiet shuffle of feet alerted her of the presence of another. She turned and looked at the massive form of Tessai, a Kido specialist that lived with Urahara and helped him to stay under the radar.

"Tessai-san, I need to speak with Kisuke, can you take him here?" she asked softly.

He stopped in his tracks before letting his gaze wander to the child in her arms, he raised an eyebrow in silent question but seeing no response, he nodded and went to retrieve his boss.

A couple of minutes passed while Yoruichi lowly hummed to the child to help him sleep before a sudden noise awoke him and made her turn with an angry scowl plastered on her face.

"Yoruichi-chan! What a marvelous surprise! What can I do for y-" Kisuke stopped mid-sentence, seeing the angry expression on his long-time friend and hearing the complaining wails of a kid. He gulped at her expression, the last time she looked at him like that was when he got himself captured by the Gotei 13 for those experiments and she had to break him out of prison. It didn't end well for him once they were safe.

"Look at what have you done you imbecile! Have no one ever taught you to be silent?!" she hissed at him before turning her attention to the baby who was wailing like there was no tomorrow, requesting the calming warmth of a mother and something to eat.

"Get me some warm milk Kisuke and I swear if you manage to botch even this simple task…" She finished threateningly, letting her threat hand in the air.

Kisuke gulped and ran off like the hounds of hell were at his feet barking, he definitely did not want to make Yoruichi angrier than she alredy was.

(Twenty minutes and a bottle of milk later…)

Yoruichi let out a tired sigh. Naruto had finally fallen asleep with a full stomach and she was currently seating inside the living room with Kisuke and Tessai looking at her expectantly.

"What?" she snapped at them.

"Yoruichi-san, why are you carrying a child and where did you find him?" Inquired the calm voice of Tessai.

She let out another sigh, this was going to take a while to explain.

"I was lazying in the chakra realm", she looked at them waiting for a nod of confirmation which she received a moment later, "and was going around doing my usual business, you know, wandering, visiting hot springs, stealing from nobles and the like." The men in the room let out quiet sweatdrops, trust in the Shihoin heir to go around stealing glittering nothings from nobles.

"I was making my way to the shinobi village in Fire Country when I heard the sounds of battle and roars from a beast of great power, I remained in the shadows because I couldn't let myself be seen and watched the battle from afar. A huge nine-tailed fox, the size of a Gillian, was attacking the village and the shinobi were launching various chakra techniques at it but nothing happened before a blond man managed to relocate the beast in the outskirts. Then I got the shock of my life, Kisuke, I saw the Soul King! Can you imagine?! The man somehow managed to summon him to make a sealing and I was less than a hundred feet from him!" she finished, shaking her head in amazement.

Kisuke for his part was equally surprised. The Soul King? There? What in the name of Hueco Mundo was he doing there? "Wait, wait, wait, you certain it was the Soul King?" A nod, "In the chakra realm?" Another nod, "Well, now I've seen them all…" he muttered under his breath. "What exactly was he doing there, Yoruichi?"

She took a breath and started explaining. "He helped the man seal the beast inside the child but something must have made him change his mind, I don't know what exactly he did, but the child no longer has chakra and I can sense a large amount of spiritual energy coming from him and if you consider he is now even a day old… the Soul King must have done something to him Kisuke, I know the sealing proceeded as planned and the Kyuubi is now in the child, but I don't know what exactly he did to him." She gazed down in his face, scrunched up in his sleep and smiled lovingly. Not even a few hours with him and she already loved him as her own. "I need you to ran a scan on him and check his health and other normal things. Besides, he is my son now, his mother's last request was for me to take care of him and I will do so as if he were of my flesh and blood." She nodded firmly to herself and looked up from the face of Naruto to see the shocked and skeptical look on her friend's face.

Yoruichi's face adopted a sweet smile, not that Kisuke was fooled for even a moment, and asked with a voice dripping of menace. "You want to say something, Kisuke?" Her smile was even more terrifying now.

Kisuke quickly shook his head, "No, no, Yoruichi-chan, I have full confidence you will be an amazing mother!" he shot back as fast as he could.

Yoruichi nodded, "Good, now take your nephew and run some scan on him to see if he is in good health."

Kisuke almost dropped the child in the haste to get out of the room to suddenly stop in his steps, his blood frozen in his veins. "N-n-nephew, you say?" he asked nervously. Honestly, how could she do this to him? He asked himself, inwardly crying as he could already picture himself changing diapers while Yoruichi slept on the porch of his shop under the sun as a cat.

"If I am to be his mother, you are his uncle Kisuke, now stop being such a baby and run those scan, oh, and look if he needs a change!" she said, before disappearing to who knew where.

Kisuke let his head drop, before gazing in the azure orbs of his "nephew" that awoke a few seconds before and let out a sigh. "These will be troublesome years…"

He began to walk away only to stop mid-step as an horrendous smell reached his nose. He looked down in horror in those innocent eyes before letting out another exasperated sigh. "Troublesome years, indeed…"

Somewhere in Konoha a lazy man with his hair in a pineapple style suddenly sneezed violently.
