Lilly: Yay, we got a new chapter up already! Not a whole lot longer than the last one, but it's much better! Spent about six hours working on it and we feel it came out great! Took a little side trip up to Glacier here in the first part to check in on everyone, so that was pretty fun! Of course, everything afterwards was a lot more...interesting, I guess you could say! You'll know what I mean when you get to that part...
Right now, I'm the only one up other than Cody, but he's already in bed and waiting for me. I'll let you all read what you actually want to now and get out of the way. Enjoy, everyone!
It was about noon now up in Glacier Park and pretty much everyone was relaxing either in or next to the lake, having a nice family day together. Lupa and Naomi were in the water talking while they cooled off, Shadow, Kevin and Aatu were laughing and talking as well as they laid on the bank while Eve and Fable were having some girl talk a little ways away from the boys. Lupa and Shadow kept Aatu busy for the night while Fable went on a little date with a boy she'd yesterday afternoon. They spent pretty much all night just talking after having a little bit of a dinner together, and Lupa definitely had a good time.
She'd been talking with Eve about if things go further between her and the boy, who's name was Jason. Eve actually knew him, which surprised them both a little! Apparently while she and Kevin were out having a little personal time, along with their own little date night, they came across him while he was out with his father learning to stalk prey. At the time, he wasn't doing a great job….He fell out of a tree. After making sure he was okay, they all laughed about it a little before continuing on with their night. After learning it was the same boy from that night about a month or so ago, Eve suggested they meet him formally, along with his parents since Fable seemed rather fond of him already.
"Do you think he might feel a little….Uncomfortable with that? I mean, we've only been on one date….Can't it wait a little while?" Fable asked, giggling a bit as was Eve. "Well, normally, yes, but Kevin and I already sort of know him. He's a nice enough boy from what we gathered, but I'm sure your parents would love to meet his as well! Not to mention they'd like to meet you, I'm sure." Eve said, smiling at her.
Fable nodded and said "I guess that makes sense….Well, we kinda planned to meet up later this evening, so I can ask him about it, see what he says." Eve nodded as well and said "If you don't feel like it's the right time, don't worry about it. We can get to that later if you feel it would be better. No reason for you to try and rush into a relationship with him." Fable smiled and said "Okay, Grandma. I'll ask him and see what he says."
Eve smiled too and said "Okay, honey. How was your little date last night, anyway?" Fable blushed a little and said "It was….really nice, actually! We didn't really do anything other than just talk about ourselves, but he seemed really interested, and so was I!" Eve nodded and said "Well, that's good! Off to a good start then." Fable giggled a bit and said "I thought so, too. I kinda hope Aatu finds a nice girl soon….He's been acting a little strange lately and I think it's because he's kinda lonely. Hasn't really been in a good mood too much…." Eve smiled again and said "You're probably right, and I do hope so, too."
"Why do you two need to talk about me like that?" Aatu suddenly asked as he came over to them. They looked over at him to see a sort of upset look on his face and Eve said "Sorry, honey, but we're just a little worried about you. A handsome boy like you should try and find a sweet girl to call his own…." He weakly smiled and said "I know, but….I don't know…." The girls sat up and Eve asked "What do you mean, honey?"
He shrugged and said "It's just….I've never talked to a girl before. Dad told me it's not really too much different than talking to either of you, but I get really shy around other girls. I can't help it…." Eve smiled a little and said "Nothing to be upset about, it's actually quite normal. Believe me, when your Grandpa over there and I first really talked, he was a nervous wreck. Even I could see it….After our first or second date, he wasn't anymore. What I'm saying is that after you get comfortable, it all just comes naturally. Heck, even girls like us get nervous and shy around boys….I'm sure your sister was last night, am I right?"
Fable giggled a bit and nodded, saying "I really was….After a little bit, it got easier, though." Aatu nodded and said "Okay, I'll try and remember that. Does Jake have a sister?" Fable giggled more and said "I don't know, but you might find out later if he and his family come to meet us all." He nodded again and said "Alright, fair enough. I'll let you two get back to whatever you wanna talk about….I could use a dip." Eve and Fable nodded and he walked off to the water, quickly diving in and relaxing in the water. Eve let out an amused sigh as she said "Boys….Pretty much all the same when it comes to girls…."
Back home in Kalispell, Cody, Lilly, Thomas and Bella were pulling into the apartment parking lot, soon stopping and getting out of the cars. Lilly looked over and Thomas and Bella as she said "Nice to be home again. I'm pretty sure the kids were hoping we'd be home soon." Bella giggled and said "Most likely. I didn't think we'd be out all night long, though." Cody chuckled and said "Neither did I, but it was great still!" Thomas nodded and said "Definitely! Mind if we come in?" Cody smiled and said "Not at all, you're more than welcome!" They all headed inside and up the stairs, still talking and laughing amongst each other as they made their way up to the apartment door.
Inside in the living room, Alexis and Chase were laying on the couch together, sharing small, but passionate kisses like they had been for the last hour or so. Alexis was still trying to believe everything was actually real, but a few pinches on the leg always told her it really was. Chase on the other hand, he'd never felt anything more real to him before! He felt like a void in his heart had been filled, complete happiness swept over him. The TV was on and there was a romance movie playing, setting a romantic mood obviously for them, even though neither was paying any attention to it.
After a few more moments of kissing, Alexis pulled back and let out a happy sigh, saying "I love you, Chase….So much…." He smiled and kissed her nose, saying "I love you too, Alexis….More than you do me, I promise!" She giggled and said "Okay, we're not getting into this….I've heard Mom and Dad doing it….But, you're still wrong because I love you more!" He chuckled and rolled his eyes, saying "If you say so….Can I ask you something?" She nodded and said "Anything, Chase…."
He smiled again and also blushed a little, saying "I don't want to sound like a pervert, and I know we just actually got together, but….will we-" She put her paw on his mouth and smiled, saying "Try and stop us." He smiled more and nodded, making her giggle a little as she moved her paw and kissed him. "Good, because you're very….succulent…." She giggled more and said "Yeah, well you're very….BREATHTAKING!" He chuckled and kissed her back, making her purr a little right as they started to hear talking outside the front door that they immediately recognized as their grandparents and their friends.
They quickly scrambled to opposite ends of the couch, making it look like they were only watching TV as the door opened. Thomas and Bella came in first, followed by Lilly and Cody who saw them laying on the couch and she said "Hey, you two! What're you watching?" Alexis smiled and said "Just a movie that was on….Nothing else was. How was you guys' night?" Cody smiled too as he closed the door, saying "Really nice! You two?" They looked at each other and Chase said "Can't complain. Didn't do much other than watch TV and head to bed." Alexis blushed a little under her fur remembering what they did last night, but luckily nobody saw it. "Oh, okay then. Where's Dakota and Crystal?" Lilly asked as she came into the living room.
Alexis smiled and said "They went out for a walk a couple hours ago. Dad said they be back a little after noon, so they're probably on their way home by now." Lilly nodded and Cody asked "You guys hungry at all?" Right then, Chase's stomach growled, making them all laugh. "Well, I'll take that as a yes….You two wanna stick around to eat?" Cody asked Thomas and Bella. She smiled too and said "Oh, no thank you. We were planning to go try a seafood place nearby for lunch." Thomas nodded in agreement and Cody said "Well, alright then. I think I know which one you're talking about and let me tell you….That place is amazing!"
Thomas chuckled and said "Nice! I already made a reservation for today, so we need to head out. Got about twenty minutes to get there." Cody smiled and said "Sure, don't worry about it! It's only about ten minutes there, but I know there's usually a few minutes wait." Bella nodded and said "Thanks for having us here and for last night! Most fun we've had in a while!" Lilly giggled and said "Well, we're just glad you two enjoyed it! It really was a fun night." Thomas smiled and said "Sure was! We'll see you all later, okay?"
"Of course! Later, you two!" Cody said, opening the door for them. "Bye, everyone!" Bella giggled, waving as they walked out. Lilly, Chase and Alexis all waved back and Cody closed the door, chuckling a bit as he said "Alright, so what sounds good for lunch?" Lilly laid down on the floor in the living room as she said "Anything, really. What've you got in mind?" Cody opened the fridge and looked around in it for a minute before saying "We've got plenty of steak! Sound good?" Everyone quickly nodded, so he took them out and laid them on the counter, saying "Alright, just gotta let them thaw out a little bit. I'm gonna go change real quick."
They all nodded and he headed down to the bedroom, closing the door as he went in. Lilly looked up at Alexis and Chase on the couch, asking "So, what did you all do last night? Watch TV all night?" Alexis nodded and said "Almost. Mom and I spent a little while talking about whether or not I want to try meeting another boy soon. I told her I don't want to quite yet." Lilly nodded and asked "Mind if I ask why?" Alexis smiled and said "I just wanna spend a little time thinking over what would make the perfect guy for me. I've already got a decent idea what it would be." Lilly smiled too and said "Oh, okay then! So, what would make a guy perfect for you?"
"Well….For one, he's gotta be sweet, that's for sure, be truthful about any and everything….want to chase me around the world and back to have me…." She said, making it seem like she was thinking about it. Chase let out a chuckle, getting their attention. "What're you laughing about?" Alexis asked, smiling at him. He shook his head and said "Nothing, carry on…." She rolled her eyes and said "Anyway….Another thing is he'd really need to know me really well before we commit to anything. You know what I mean, right?" Lilly nodded and said "Pretty sure I do. Sounds like you've got it narrowed down to some really good points!"
Alexis smiled and said "Well, thanks! I know it's not very likely to meet that one guy who can be all that, but….just maybe it could happen." Lilly smiled as well and said "Yep, it's possible! Chase, have you given any thought to finding a nice girl?" He smiled a little and said "No, not really….I guess I should, but I just haven't." Lilly nodded and said "Well, it all depends on what you feel you want. Your time'll come, I can promise you that!" He chuckled and said "I'm sure it will, too."
Right about then, the door opened and Crystal and Dakota came walking in, panting a little and laughing. Dakota closed the door as he said "Wow, that was a good run!" Crystal quickly nodded and said "It felt…great! I'm so out of….breath…." He chuckled a little and Lilly smiled again, saying "Well, hey there, you two!" They came into the living room and Crystal said "Hi, Mom! When did you guys get home?" Lilly looked up at the clock and said "Just a little bit ago. And since when do you call me "Mom"?"
Crystal giggled and said "Well, you are a lot like a mother to me…." Lilly giggled too and said "Well, alright then, honey. You two have a nice walk?" They both nodded and Dakota said "We ran most of it. Ended up a few miles from here…." Chase chuckled and said "Judging by how long you guys were gone, I'd say more than just a few miles…." Crystal giggled again and said "Oh, hush….Where's Cody?" Lilly motioned down the hall and said "Down in the bedroom changing his clothes."
Dakota smiled and said "Oh, okay. After he comes back out, mind if we talk to you guys about something? It's rather important." Lilly nodded and said "Of course, honey! Did you find out if you're pregnant, Crystal?" She smiled and shook her head, saying "No, not yet. It's a bit more important than that, though." Lilly nodded again and said "Okay then. Cody's about to start making lunch if you're hungry, so as soon as he comes out…." They both nodded and Dakota said "Great, I'm starving!"
A few minutes later, Cody came walking out of the bedroom, finishing putting his shirt on as he did when he said "Well, you two are home! What's this I hear about something we need to talk about?" Crystal smiled a little and said "Don't worry, it's nothing bad. Pretty good, if you ask me!" He chuckled and said "Alright then. So, what's up?" He walked into the kitchen and got a frying pan out, setting it on the stove and turning the heat on as Dakota asked Crystal "Should we just tell them straight up or ease into it?"
Crystal giggled a little and said "Just straight up….Alexis, Chase, why don't you both come down here as well?" They nodded and hopped off the couch, sitting down next to each other and their parents. "So, last night while you guys were gone….These two ended up mating." Dakota said, shocking both Lilly and Cody, who nearly choked on the water he was drinking. "Wait, what!? THEY WHAT!?" Lilly asked, nearly yelling.
Dakota nodded and put his paw on her shoulder, saying "It's true, but calm down a little, Mom. Crystal and I felt it was something long coming, after all…." Lilly looked between them all and asked "You two….had sex!?" Alexis blushed a little, but nodded as she said "We did….It was because of my heat at the time." Cody came into the living room and asked Dakota and Crystal "And you're both completely okay with it!?"
Crystal nodded and said "We were upset at first, but we had a family talk after it happened and again this morning. Like Alexis said, it was her heat at the time, but after our talk this morning, she admitted she was actually in love with Chase for a long time now. She actually told him without realizing it, too….And he obviously felt the same way." Alexis and Chase nodded and he kissed her cheek, making her smile and purr a little.
Lilly and Cody were still quite stunned, but she calmly said "And they know the probable consequences of mating?" They both nodded and Alexis said "We didn't think about it at first, but we understand I might get pregnant from this….I'm okay with it." Chase nodded in agreement and Cody said "And you know incest can cause birth defects?" They nodded again and Dakota said "That too. But, there's also the possibility it won't." Lilly let out a sigh and said "Well, if you both truly feel that way you believe you do, and can live with the consequences….We can't be anything but happy for you both." Cody nodded in agreement, making Alexis and Chase both smile at them.
"Thanks, guys….We were pretty sure you'd be mad at us…." Chase chuckled, making Alexis giggle a bit. Lilly smiled and said "I'll admit, I wanted to be mad, but I just couldn't….I've always had a feeling this could happen, too." Crystal smiled and said "Now we've just gotta find a good way to tell the rest of the family…." Lilly and Cody laughed a bit and he said "Well, Eve and Kevin said they'd all come down within the next couple months, so you can do it then."
"That works! Plenty of time to know if I'm pregnant or not…." Alexis said, smiling a little and she rubbed her stomach a little. Lilly smiled too and said "More then plenty….Chase, are you nervous or scared about being a father with your own sister?" He smiled a little and said "A little. I just want any pups that may come of this to be healthy…." Lilly and Cody nodded and went over, hugging them both and Lilly said "Well, I think congratulations are in order, am I right?" Dakota and Crystal smiled and she said "I believe so, too!"
They all hugged and congratulated them, Dakota saying he was proud of his children to be willing to take a huge responsibility and believe it will work out. Crystal was just relieved they'd found a mate that she knew would always make each other happy, albeit still being blood related. Lilly knew everything would work the way it was meant to, and if that means Alexis and Chase were to be mates and parents, then that's just how it was meant to happen. Cody was admittingly a bit worrisome that they'd find themselves overwhelmed, but he promised to always believe they wouldn't be. And if they were, they knew their parents would always be there to help and guide them.
