Over the next seven years Bloom stayed at that house, the professor managed to gain ownership of the house so Bloom couldn't be evicted from it and she could be left alone like she wanted, Bloom's healing abilities reached their peak a few years ago meaning she appeared to stop aging when she reached sixteen, the professor managed to get her a place at Bayville High, same year as Scott and Jean as well as the others even though she was older but unfortunately was kept back due to her lack of attending class, lack of records of a previous education records and her youthful appearance didn't make things any easier, Xavier had made up some story about her having a genetic disease that slowed her aging to cover for her mutant ability, she was now in her sophomore year.
Bloom was currently in the school gym, she was lifting weights which thanks to her strength was a simple task but she'd rather have everyone think she was strong due to physical exercise so that it would be less likely anyone would figure out her abilities.
One of the double doors were pushed open and a girl who Bloom recognised as Anne Marie or as she preferred Rogue from whatever class she actually bothered turning up she just wasn't sure which. Rogue headed onto the treadmill and began running, obviously trying to ignore Bloom.
Bloom inhaled deeply, taking in her scent, she smirked, she had been right she was like her a mutant, however, Rogue wasn't the only mutant scent she picked up on. Bloom placed the fifty pound weights (Not maximum strength capacity) on the floor and turned to the door to see the headmistress enter the gym.
Bloom leapt up, extending her metal claws, digging them into the roof of the gym with such speed no one noticed, Darkholm began to approach Rogue. Rogue noticed the headmistress enter and turned the treadmill off before stepping off of it and turning to face her.
"Somet ya want?" Rogue asked.
"Rogue, I've been trying to find a certain mutant the professor did a better job than I thought when he hid her and I think you'd be the perfect one to bring her onto our side" Darkholm stated as she reverted back to her original form of Mystique, this didn't surprise Bloom at all she had known who she'd been from the start.
"Oh an why's that?" Rogue asked.
"Because she was abused by a mutant like you were by the Xmen just worse and she was also abused by humans, her name is Bloom, she is a rogue mutant and I don't want her to end up siding with the professor" Mystique explained as she handed Rogue a picture of her, she instantly recognised her as the girl from earlier.
"So yur saying ya want me to talk ta her an get her ta join us because we were abused by other mutants?" Rogue clarified.
"Correct, though you should know I'm not sure what her mutant abilities are just that she's powerful and can be very dangerous and I doubt anyone else will be able to talk some sense into her, the boys can't relate to her at all and will end up pissing her off until she retaliates" Mystique explained.
"Why don't you talk ta her?" Rogue asked.
"I can't relate to her and I doubt she'd trust a shape shifter, she rarely trusts anyone but you're her classmate and can relate to her" Mystique clarified stressing the point that Rogue had to do it.
"Fine I'll talk ta her" Rogue huffed before taking her leave as did Mystique both completely unaware that Bloom had heard every word.
Later That Day…
Bloom had been walking home when Rogue spotted her and began to follow the fiery haired girl, unaware that Bloom knew she was following her. Bloom turned into an alley that she knew had only one exit before leaping into the air and extending her claws, piercing the wall, keeping her above the ground.
Rogue turned into the alley, she blinked when she saw Bloom was nowhere in sight.
'What the hell where'd she go?' Rogue thought to herself as she continued walking a couple more paces, looking round and saw she nowhere in sight.
'Thud'
Rogue slowly turned round to see the girl she'd been following, her arms were crossed over her chest and she didn't look too happy about seeing her.
"I don't appreciate people following me" Bloom threatened, her hands becoming fists.
"Look am sorry but I was sent to offer you a place with…" Rogue began before she interrupted.
"A place with the Brotherhood, invitation curtsey of Mystique" Bloom finished, her glare never fading.
"So you know, look Mystique thinks I'd be the best choice to convince you to join us since like you I was attacked by mutants" Rogue said rather quickly.
"Huh, I doubt that, I was raised by an insane mutant for five years, he's the only father figure I can remember and he tortured me and called it training and when I was five he put me through an experiment to make me stronger, practically indestructible, he put me through hell and when I finally escaped him I was found and tortured by a paedophile…as far as I'm concerned we barley have anything in common" Bloom spat her voice full of venom and her irises flashing crimson for a brief second.
Rogue stumbled back surprised by Bloom's tone, it terrified her and what Bloom had just told her shook her to the core, she was beginning to see why Bloom was dangerous after living pure hell your whole life and having been given powers and been nearly indestructible with nothing to lose.
"Well…you're not the only one who's lived through hell…I have to stay distant from everyone, I can't touch anyone, I'm going to grow old and die alone and on top of that the day my powers woke up I was attack by the Xmen" Rogue replied, her voice shaky.
"Really? So what would happen if I touched you huh?" Bloom asked.
"I would drain your memories, powers, life force everything you are would flow into me and I'd probably put you into a coma" Rogue replied.
"So maybe we do have something in common we both have to live alone" Bloom replied before turning away and beginning to take her leave.
"What do you mean?" Rogue asked.
"I don't age, not anymore at least not at a normal rate and unless I find a way to repress it I can't be with anyone it would be too painful to watch them grow old and die while I stayed young unable to do anything except watch it happen" Bloom explained never facing her, she became a blur as she used quicksilver's speed to head home leaving Rogue alone.
