Cassidy Mario Chapter 5: Tickles To Chase The Nightmare Away, a mario fanfic

The moon illuminated the outer walls of the dreaded Koopa Castle, and inside, sounds of shouting and running footsteps on the cold marble floors.

Cassidy was running throughout the dark and dangerous halls of Koopa Castle, being recently beaten and having bruises on her legs, arms, back, and shoulders. She also had scrapes, which were currently bleeding, her clothes were slightly torn, and part of her hair looked as if it were on fire. Shouts and whoops were coming from the various Goomba guards, Koopa guards, Magikoopas, Hammer Bros., and Renzors on foot that were chasing after her. Basically, this journey to Castle Koopa wasn't a very pleasant one, as if any of them were pleasant at all.

As Cassidy reached a gigantic double door and into a very dim room, the doors have shut, leaving her in nothing but darkness and a reek odor of sweaty gym socks and magma.

"BOWSER!" She yelled in a threatening tone, trying to hide her fear, slightly shaking from the pain from her wounds inflicted on her. "YOU BETTER SHOW YOURSELF!"

Then, the lights of the candles scattered on the wall brightened the room, revealing Bowser sitting in his king-sized throne, which, of course, was fit for an egotistic king like himself.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Cassidy Mario," Bowser mused with the same evil grin he always had on his face. "Come for your brothers, I assume?"

"Cut the bullcrap, Bowser! Where did you hide my brothers!?" Cassidy demanded as she approached Bowser's throne with an agitated look on her face.

Bowser chortled, "You mean the disgraces of the hero generation? Let's just say that they're... hanging around.", as he snapped his fingers.

Just as a SNAP was heard, echoing through the throne room, a cage fell forcefully and dangled in the air, just about an inch above the floor, sealing Mario and Luigi inside, who were also beaten, bloodied, and bruised, only slightly worse than what Cassidy had appeared.

"MARIO! LUIGI!" Cassidy screamed as she sprinted with all the energy she had left in her body to her brothers.

Just before Cassidy's fingertips could even make contact with the cage's bars, two Hammer Bro. guards, who carried electric spears, had skidded right in front of her and zapped her with the electric ends of their spears, causing her to scream out in pain. They have stunned and forced her on her back, twitching in pain.

"Send them to the magma pool!" Bowser commanded to the two guards, alerting Cassidy.

"NOOOOOOO! DON'T DO THIS! JUST TAKE ME INSTEAD!" Cassidy yelled as she got back on her feet and stretched out her right arm.

"WHAT!?" Mario and Luigi yelled in shock with wide eyes.

"Not a bad idea, Cassidy!" Bowser commented as he grabbed Cassidy by the collar of her T-shirt. "You, my dear, have given me a million dollar idea! But here's the thing, I'll let your brothers go if you sacrifice yourself."

"Deal! Just please don't do this to them!" Cassidy begged as she turned herself in.

"You can't do this, Cassie! He'll only trick you!" Mario yelled, trying to talk his little sister out of doing this.

"Well, it's a risk I'm willing to make," Cassidy sighed, closing her eyes, her heart breaking as Bowser had lifted her by her shirt and dragged her to a large pit in the floor, which had a pool full of lava that had to be at least 1,000 feet down.

"And since this was your idea, I think I'll also do the same to your brothers, anyway!" Bowser revealed as he held Cassidy over the magma.

"What!? BOWSER, PLEASE! NOOOO!" Cassidy pleaded, kicking her legs while tears streamed down her face.

"Any last words before I drop you?" Bowser asked.

"BROS., I'M SO SORRY! THIS IS ALL MY FAULT!" Cassidy yelled to her brothers. "BECAUSE OF ME, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!"

"IT'S NOT ALL YOUR FAULT!" Luigi replied. "WE KNEW YOU WERE JUST TRYING TO PROTECT US!"

"THANKS, AND I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!" Cassidy sobbed as she closed her eyes and awaited her end.

"WE LOVE YOU, TOO!" Mario and Luigi yelled back to Cassidy.

"Time's up!" Bowser crooned as he let go of his grip and dropped Cassidy, watching her fall while laughing maniacally.

Cassidy fell through numerous floors, screaming very loudly while at it, as she got closer and closer to the magma...

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Cassidy screamed as she sat up in her bed.

It wasn't real. She was still alive! She wasn't bruised or beaten in any way! She wasn't falling towards a magma pool! It was just a dream that felt... so... real. Her face sweated and blushed heavily as she panted like she ran a 5K run.

"Are you okay? We've heard screaming!" came Mario's voice as he and Luigi ran into Cassidy's room, still in their own pajamas.

Cassidy didn't say anything. She just buried her face in her hands and cried miserably

Knowing what the reason why their little sister burst into tears was, Mario and Luigi approached her bed and each sat at each of Cassidy's sides. They each wrapped an arm around her shoulders.

"What happened?" Mario asked gently.

"I had a nightmare," Cassidy sniffled as she began to explain what happened in the dream. "Bowser kidnapped you guys again. I was running from a bunch of guards that tried to kill me. I was bruised and bleeding practically all over. When I got to Bowser's throne room, he had you trapped in a cage, and you guys were just as beaten as I was. I've tried to save you, but more of his guards almost electrocuted me to death before I could even touch the cage. Then, Bowser announced that he was gonna lower you into the lava, and I pleaded him not to. I offered him my life, and he grabbed me by the shirt. He held me over the lava, which was about 1,000 feet below, and he told me that since it was my idea, he was still gonna kill you both. After my last goodbye to you, he dropped me into the lava. We were all gonna die in the hands of Bowser... all because of me. It was all my fault..."

Throughout the story, Mario and Luigi were practically frozen in shock.

"Luigi's right, Cassidy," Mario added, joining the hug as he stroked his sister's hair. "Even if it did happen, we wouldn't hate you. We know that you'd try to protect us, just like we would try to protect each other. We're a family, sis."

"You know, you guys are right," Cassidy sighed shakily, accepting the three-way hug. "I'm still a bit shaken."

"Really now?" Luigi asked, smirking slightly as he started poking Cassidy's sides, causing her to yelp and twitch.

"What- stohohop!"

With a smirk, Mario joined in, poking and prodding her sides in a faster pace.

"Oooo, look, bro, she's still ticklish," Mario whispered to Luigi in a teasing tone.

"N-noho I'm not- stahahap poking mehehe!" Cassidy protested, struggling to get out of her brothers' hold.

"Are you sure?" Mario asked.

"Yehes!"

"I don't believe you. Grab her, Luigi!"

With that, Luigi quickly scooted behind the ladybro and grabbed her arms, holding them behind her back while Mario sat on her legs.

"You both better get the hell off me or I'll- AH!" Cassidy's threatening was cut off when Mario slipped his hands underneath her t-shirt and tickled her stomach. "Nohohohohoho! Stahahahahahap!"

"Not until you're not shaky anymore, sis!" Mario replied, still tickling Cassidy. "If I remember correctly, I think your ribs were a really bad spot. Am I right, Luigi?"

"Actually, Mario, I think you're right. Now get her good!" Luigi cheered, tightening his grip on his sister's arms.

"Nohohoho, plehehehease! DohohohoHOHOHOHON'T!" Cassidy shrieked as Mario started to tickle her ribs with vigor. "NAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"I knew it!" Mario smiled, tickling faster and harder.

"NOHOHOHOHOHOT HEHEHEHERE! STAHAHAHAHAHAP! I-I'M HAAHAHAHAHAPPEEHEEY, OKAHAHAHAHAY!?" Cassidy screeched, her growing a light shade of red and her eyes filling with mirthful tears.

"Juuuust one more thing," Mario replied, winking at Luigi, indicating what he was going to do.

Luigi snickered, immediately knowing what eldest Mario was planning on doing.

Cassidy closed her eyes and made an attempt to blink the tears out of her eyes as she tilted her head back. Then, she felt her shirt being lifted, prompting her to tilt her head forward as her eyes widened as Mario leaned down and pressed his lips on her stomach.

One blow was enough to make Cassidy literally scream before falling into completely hysterical laughter. Her face was getting even redder and tears were streaming down her reddened cheeks as she pleaded her brother to stop.

The red and green plumbers stopped and released their blushy, giggly little sister and basked in on her weakened and helpless state as she curled herself up and held her knees up to chest.

"You okay, sis?" Mario asked, lifting Cassidy into a sit up position.

"You're dead to me..." Cassidy panted out.

"Aw, c'mon, you don't mean that!" Luigi coaxed playfully, poking her cheek.

"...Okay, maybe I didn't," Cassidy replied softly, smiling.

"C'mon, who wants pancakes?" Mario asked to his siblings happily, dismounting from the bed.

"I do!" Luigi and Cassidy replied in union, racing to the kitchen.

"Hey! Wait up!" Mario shouted, laughing and rushing after them.

It doesn't matter what happens. The three siblings would never blame one another if one was simply protecting the other. Their family isn't broken, but bent, but they would always have each other's backs.
