The night went by achingly slow. Callie kept her eyes on Arizona all night, just to make sure she didn't get up and leave without her knowing. She was absolutely terrified that the love of her life would walk out again. In the back of her mind she knew Arizona wouldn't go anywhere without a fight, but the fear was still there lurking around every corner. Sometime during the night Arizona fell asleep and turned to lie on her back. Callie stilled, hoping Arizona was awake so they could talk, instead she was sound asleep. Her hands ached to touch the blonde's chest that was gently rising and falling. Goosebumps overtook every inch of Callie's body, as she thought about Saturday. If that was even going to happen now.

This isn't the way she wanted Arizona to find out about the divorce papers, but there really wasn't a good way to say it….

"Hey Arizona!" Callie yelled down the hectic hallway. Finally able to catch up to the blonde.

"Calliope? I don't really have time right now.." She said towards Callie, but looking down at a chart. She was just starting the crash course with Dr. Herman, so every moment in the day was evolved around that woman.

"I know, I know.." Callie started nervously, "But I have this paperwork that you need to look at.." Arizona didn't take her eyes off the chart or stop walking. "So, yeah just take it and look at for me?" Callie wanted to push the other woman up against the wall just so she could talk to her like a normal person, but refrained.

"Is it for a patient?" Arizona finally spoke up, still not looking at Callie.

"Not really.. Just look at it when you get the chance no rush." Callie jumped in front of Arizona to get her to stop. The Latina mentally patted herself on the back when her ninja move was successful.

Arizona looked up and chuckled. "Alright, I'll take a look." She took the file and leaned in, "Keep the jumping to a minimum though, we're a little busy today." Arizona winked and walked away like it was nothing.

Callie's eyes followed the blonde as she walked down the hall. This was good, she was moving on and the only way she could do that was to once and for all divorce Arizona. Saying the word 'Divorce' made her heart cringe. They fought for each other numerous amount of times and always made it out on top. Except this time it was different. Callie was tired of fighting, and fixing. Especially since she was the only one trying. Arizona would always be love of Callie's life, but at some point love won't be enough.

Callie spent all day waiting for Arizona to storm into any room she was at, with a rant from hell. She was prepared to get yelled at and humiliated in front of everyone. No matter how prepared she was, a thought kept lingering around in her very confused mind. The thought of what if? What if her and Arizona could make it work somehow? What if Arizona was really the one Callie was supposed to spend the rest of her life with? All these what if question's knocking around in her head, making a huge headache begin.

Six o'clock rolled around a lot faster than she wanted it to. She gave Arizona the papers at like 8, why hadn't she heard from her all day? Callie decided to go look for the blonde before heading home. She didn't want to go to bed without knowing how Arizona felt about all this. She saw Dr. Herman leaning against one of the nurse's counters and made the brave decision to walk up to her.

"Dr. Herman. I'm Dr. Torres…"

"Yes, I know who you are."

This woman was terrifying. "Okay.. I was wondering if you could tell me where Arizona is?"

"She's in the scrub room."

Callie couldn't believe anyone wanted to work with this woman, let alone have a full on conversation with her. "Thanks.." Dr. Herman pointed in the direction of the scrub room, waiting for Callie to leave her presence.

The Latina stood outside the door watching Arizona finish up. She could tell Arizona was proud of herself, but could also tell in the way she was washing her hands that she was incredibly worn out. It made her heart sink, thinking that it could be her partially her fault. She swallowed hard and opened the door.

"Callie? What are you doing here?" Arizona said lighting up a little bit.

"Did you uhh.. Did you get a chance to look at the file?" She put her head down, waiting for an explosion.

"Oh shoot. I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to read it. I'll do it now!" Arizona began walking past Callie, before the brunette placed her hands on her shoulders to stop her.

Quickly pulling away, "You know what? No need to. I figured it out. And umm.. I'll just take it from you, so you don't have worry about. Okay?"

"Umm, yeah sure. It's in my office. It should be unlocked so you can get it whenever…" She looked up at Callie and furrowed her brow. "Are you sure that's it?" Concern laced her voice as she asked.

"That was it. I just know how busy you are. I don't want you to have to deal with more than you already have to." Callie stiffened and smiled to reassure the blonde she was serious. But Arizona was much smarter than that and knew something else was bothering the brunette.

Instead of questioning Callie further, the blonde nodded her head and took a couple steps back. "Okay."

Callie nodded her head as well and walked out the door…

The morning sun peaked through the blinds, making blonde streaks shine bright. Blue eyes slowly made their way out of sleepy lids, as tired limbs stretched across the warm bed. Arizona looked over her shoulder to see dark brown eyes starring right back. Deep circles accentuated Callie's face, not once did she take her eyes off Arizona. Even though she wanted so badly to sleep, she couldn't.

Arizona took a deep breath and faced Callie. She tangled her fingers in black hair and ran her thumb back and forth over perfect cheek bones. Callie was so tired she couldn't even speak, but Arizona's touch brought her back to life. The blonde moved closer so that their noses just barely touched. Callie lied there as still as possible, wanting Arizona to be the first to say something. Afraid that if she did her wife would get up and leave. That's the last thing she wanted.

"I'm mad at you." Finally breaking the ice. "I'm mad that you lied to me, and then tried to cover it up." Arizona didn't move one bit, just kept hold of brown eyes, "So, I need you to know that I need time." It hurt her more than it hurt Callie when the words fell from her lips.

Callie closed her eyes and was barely able to open them back up. She knew something like this was going to happen. Callie's mind was reeling with bad possibilities, but then she realized that Arizona's hand was still on her face, and was still lying next to her. Arizona needed time, but not time away from Callie. The Latina took Arizona's hand off her face and kissed her ring finger, then asked, "Does that mean you're still going to marry me?" Her voice was a little shaky but heartfelt.

Arizona's eyes became glazed over, "Calliope.." she intertwined their fingers, "I wouldn't have it any other way."

The week went by with a blink of an eye, but it was only Friday. Except, that meant tomorrow was their wedding day. Both women were over the moon ecstatic, and couldn't help but be giddy towards everyone and everything. Stolen glances and quick kisses happened almost every hour for days. Every time they passed the Chapel butterflies would erupt in their bellies, and giggles would fill the hall. They both took off Sunday and Monday for their 'honeymoon', nobody knew they were doing this because they needed it to be just for them. The first wedding they had everyone that was willing to come was there, and look how that ended up.

"Are you ready to go home?" Callie said walking up behind Arizona and wrapping her arms around a slim waist.

"I think I should stay here. You know it is tradition for us not to see each other?" Turning around to face Callie, placing a little kiss on her lips. She saw Callie's face fall, but quickly kissed it away.

"No. I'll stay here. You go home and make sure you come back to me tomorrow." Callie held the blonde closer and breathed in her favorite scent.

"I will be here." Arizona leaned in smiling against Callie's lips waiting for her to follow through. As if reading the blonde's thoughts, Callie swept Arizona up and spun her around while giving her soon to be wife again a lust filled kiss. They ended up leaning against the counter in the attending's lounge, foreheads touching and out of breath. Arizona took Callie's hands in hers, and started to head towards the door, both not wanting to let the other go.

Callie pulled the blonde in for one last kiss before letting their hands stretch out to the last finger, and then watched her walk down the hall into the elevator. Arizona turned around blew her a kiss and winked, leaving only a trace of blonde hair when the doors closed. This time tomorrow, they will be married…

Arizona purposely ignored Callie all day, even went out of her way so she wouldn't run into her in the hall. She wanted everything to be just perfect, and as traditional as they could get it, given the circumstances. Even though this isn't a real wedding, and it's not the legal way to renew their vows, it still made Arizona just as giddy as the first time. She went home early so that she could shower and change to surprise Callie. Arizona really didn't want to do this in scrubs, so cleverly she placed an outfit on the couch in the attending's longue with Callie's name on it for her to wear.

The blonde put on her silky, long sleeve white blouse with black dress pants, and placed her ring back in the box. Walking over to her dresser, she dug underneath all their jeans and pulled out a red velvet box. Inside was a cushion shaped diamond with smaller diamonds running along the silver band. She had bought it for Callie before their last session with the couple's counselor. Almost positive Callie was going to take her back, but then she didn't. Now, nothing would stop her from placing this ring on Callie's finger. Her heart skipped a beat with excitement thinking about Callie. This is their moment.

Callie looked herself over one last time in the mirror. She laughed when she saw the outfit lying on the couch, knowing who it came from. Arizona had picked out a short sleeve blouse that hung low in the front, and black dress pants. She guessed the blonde would be wearing something similar, except her chest wouldn't be hanging half out. Arizona's favorite place on Callie's body was her chest, so it didn't surprise her when she put it on. Sitting back down on the couch she pulled out a piece of paper, and began going over it again. She contemplated on whether or not to say the same vows to Arizona again, or doing the traditional ones, or taking a shot at making new ones. She went with making new ones, vows that meant more to her now after everything, than they did the first time. Arizona was Callie's world and she wasn't about to lose anymore, and planned on telling her that tonight. Looking up at the clock, she saw it was almost time for them to do this.

Grabbing her things, Callie headed towards the Chapel. Hoping Arizona wouldn't be there, so she could set a few things up. She placed a line of rose petals down the aisle and a few around where they would be standing. Next, she lit the middle candle for them. She lit it so that this would be the last time she would ever have to marry Arizona. The last time they would ever walk out on each other. That this time they would finish their happy ending, and live life the way it was intended to be. Callie fixed her clothes and stood at the altar, any moment Arizona will walk in and make her the happiest woman on earth all over again.

Arizona parked on the opposite side of the hospital, so that she and Callie could get away fast out the back door. Stepping out of the car she flung her purse onto her shoulder and fixed her hair again in the side mirror. Taking a deep she began her journey towards the rest of her life. She could feel someone watching her, and now could hear several footsteps following hers. Keeping her head up she walked just a tad faster, hoping it wasn't noticeable. Except the footsteps continued to get louder as they got closer and closer. With Arizona's leg, she hadn't really mastered how to run on it. Her heart was racing in her chest, and palms became sweaty. She knew she shouldn't turn around, but did anyways.

Suddenly, three men in black masks came running towards her, slamming her fragile body to the ground. One man snatched her purse off the ground and started searching through it. Another grabbed her by the leg and pulled Arizona behind a car, and kicked her straight in the stomach causing her to curl up in a ball and wince. The other bent down and grabbed a fist full of hair and punched her repeatedly in the face, breaking her nose and jaw in two shots. She could feel her cheek bone crack against his fist, as he continued to pummel her into the cement. One of the other's figured out that she had a prosthetic leg on, and tore it from her thigh, causing her hip to pop out of place, causing a screeching sound rip through Arizona's mouth. One man continuously kicked her in the rib cage, the sound of bones breaking filled the night air. Thick blood soaked the dirt covered and torn blouse. Arizona couldn't catch her breath as she was hit with enormous blows to her face time after time. Screaming wasn't even an option anymore, her body was numb from all the pain. All she wanted to do was close her eyes and go to sleep. The last thing she saw was her leg being raised in the air like a pro golfer getting ready to tee off, and then nothing but darkness…

Callie stood there impatiently, constantly checking her phone and the clock. She sent Arizona about five text messages, and called her three times. A million reasons were popping in her head as she stood there, alone. But the only one that stuck out was Arizona realizing Callie wasn't the one. That the divorce paper ordeal was much bigger than she thought, and couldn't go through with the wedding. After waiting another half hour Callie sat down on one of the pews, and cried into her hands hard. She looked up at the candle burning then back down at her phone. Seeing that there still was no sign of Arizona coming, she stood up and blew the candle out, walking out of the Chapel with what little dignity she had left…
