Introduction to Pokemon Behavior and Breeding Patterns
Written by Professor George Elm
Chances are that you've picked up this book to learn more about the world of Pokemon and while my own expertise specializes in dealing with breeding patterns and behavioral interactions, I do believe I can help. I've been the Pokemon Professor in the Johto region for nearly thirty years now and I can say that I'm definitely someone who can be your guide. Though Professor Oak does know a considerable amount more than I do, he will help with more on the biology and history of certain pokemon while my talent will come from behavior.
Anyway, allow me to present the following layout and go over what can be expected in this guide as I can assure you, there is a multitude of information in this guide.
Common Name of Creature: (As usual, this will be used to determine the actual name for the pokemon.)
Latin Name of the Species: (This is one that I don't fully know yet, but luckily we have Professor Oak)
Origin of the Species Name: (This is how the original name came about)
Morphology: (This will give you a fairly accurate description of the male and female forms of the creatures)
Evolution and Species Survival: (This is one that deals with how the creature's behavior effected its survival into modern day)
Biology: (From the inside to the power they possess, this section covers the science of the species)
Taxonomy: (This category deals with how the pokemon became classified and who by.)
Habitat: (Even though the Johto region can be quite vast, I will describe their typical habitat)
Behavior: (This category deals with the natural behavior of pokemon found in the wild and best ways to observe different signs and communication between the specie)
Behavior with Humans: (This category deals with behavior soley with humans including mishandling and any reported attacks and ways to avoid them)
Reproduction and Egg Description: (This category deals with pokemon mating and how large the eggs are and colors of certain pokemon eggs. Baby behavior also falls into this category)
History: (Human behavior towards pokemon is recorded and brought forth in this category and some are better stories than others.)
Danger Factor: (This is going to give a brief number system and certain behaviors to look out for and certain things that could harm a human)
And that's it. I implore you to please keep me updated on certain information you may find on pokemon behavior. This guide will be most helpful and I definitely think you can find this book engaging and entertaining. Hopefully you can put it to some use. Oh! One other side note. This book will only contain the pokemon in the Johto region that were not mentioned in previous guides. There will be more guides to come in the future and I'm told by Professor Sycamore that there will be more Mega Evolutions discussed in this guide. I'll leave you alone now. Go explore the world of Pokemon!
