Chapter 5
As the days practice finishes Sasha looks for Payson and sees her stood on the floor talking to one of the girls who idolised Payson.
As she finished she turned and gathered up anything left behind, then the door to the gym opens and Rigo walks in.
"Hey beautiful" he smiles walking up to her.
"Hey" she smiles as he pulls her into his arms and kisses her.
"You set then, I've got a surprise for you" he smiles.
"Yeah just let me grab my stuff and you know I'm not a fan of surprises" replies Payson.
"This one you'll like I promise" he assures.
Payson smiles and walks up to the office.
"You need me for anything else?" she asks brightly.
"No I'll see you tomorrow, and don't do that with the gymnasts around please, I had enough issues with your group when it came to that no dating rule" sighs Sasha.
"Not with me you didn't in fact I'm the only one who didn't break that rule, Lauren did, twice, Kaylie did, twice, Emily did, once, Austin, once, Carter, twice, oh Nicky never broke that rule either" smiles Payson.
"If I see him again he will get an earful" warns Sasha.
"Okay, see you tomorrow" replies Payson as she grabs her bag and walks down the steps to where Rigo stood waiting, he takes her hand and leads her outside.
As they walk outside Payson can't see Rigo's car, only his bike.
"What's going on?" asks Payson.
"Well since it is the anniversary of the first day we spent together like this I wanted to recreate some of the fun, it's still perfectly safe" teases Rigo.
Payson smiles as he picks his bike up and gets on it, she steps onto the back as they cycle to their shared apartment.
Sasha watches them go shaking his head at the recklessness, but loving the glow coming off of Payson, Rigo was good for her; he treated Payson right.
He was better for her than Sasha ever could be, that one kiss had cost them both so much, anything between them even now she'd retired from gymnastics would spark the question had they been together the entire time, and he didn't want Payson's name sullied, she was huge inspiration and as she'd said her life was good, and she deserved to be happy, she'd fought to hard and had given up so much and had been through so much, he wouldn't let his own feelings spoil that in any way for her.
Over the next week Sasha carried on working he generally left the coaching of the younger ones to Payson because she was perfect for them, she unlike Sasha could relate better to them, and she didn't need to scare them, she was charismatic and caring with each of them, pointing out mistakes and helping them fix them, so it wasn't until his juniors and elite arrived that he descended from his office to coach them.
Another good thing about Payson was because she was still young and flexible she could demonstrate and perform any skills Sasha needed, so the gymnasts had someone to actually copy and it worked well, she was the idol to most of them, Payson's reputation was legendary, Kaylie and Lauren may be well known now, same with Kelly but none of them had done what Payson had, she was a living legend.
Later that day she walked into the office.
"Hey Sasha, can I ask you something?" she asks looking a lot like the teenager he'd known.
"Anything" he replies.
"How would you feel if I told you that you've got visitors arriving in five minutes?" she asks.
"What sort of visitors?" he asks.
"Friends" she replies.
"You don't mean?" he starts.
"Oh hell yes" she smiles.
He hears cars pulling up and walks out onto the stairs and the door to the gym opened and a group of people he hadn't seen in person in a long time walked in.
