Chapter 14
As Monday morning rolled around Payson and Kelly pulled up at the rock.
"So I've possibly found an apartment" smiles Kelly.
"That's great, have you seen it?" asks Payson.
"No I was going to go during lunch, fancy coming?" asks Kelly.
"I'd love to, after all we need to get you out fast because Rigo's coming home in a few days and as you said you don't want that soundtrack, especially since we've been apart for so long, well we need to make up for it" teases Payson.
"I never thought I'd see the day that little miss no boys Payson Keeler would be warning me how she and her boyfriend are going to be having mad crazy sex, I mean seriously I never saw this coming" says Kelly.
"I'd have been worried if you did" replies Payson as they walk into the rock.
"Just please don't do any Emily" says Kelly.
"I would never do any Emily, if I'm going to have kids it'll be when I'm older, more stable and I know that the relationship is stable and long lasting, so I have no intention of that and when did you start turning into my mom, you going to give me the safe sex talk next?" asks Payson.
"No, bit late for that" teases Kelly but despite her teasing tone she zones in on Payson's words, a stable relationship and she knows its long lasting, didn't she feel that way with Rigo, maybe her plan to get Payson to open her eyes was working, she was snapped out of that train of thought by Payson.
"God I feel sorry for when you have children" says Payson.
"Feel sorry for the children, feel sorry for the man" corrects Kelly.
"Oh definitely" replies Payson.
"I haven't actually had a boyfriend since Nicky" admits Kelly.
"Really, well I got to say Nicky Russo is a pretty decent kisser" teases Payson.
"Oh god now we're comparing notes" laughs Kelly.
"I know, maybe you're right, we should expand our dating choices, at least I can say not one of the people I know can compare notes with me about Rigo, he's all mine" smiles Payson.
"Yeah I know you were on the phone to him for about three hours, and the lovey dovey made me want to puke, seriously, you hang up, no you hang up, no you hang up?" asks Kelly.
"It's the closest we get when we're apart" defends Payson.
"Yeah if that's what your like over the phone I'm getting out of your apartment before he gets back, because from the sound of it you two will be ripping each others clothes off the second your alone and while walking in your hot boyfriend naked might not be so bad, seeing you naked is way more than I want, I'll leave the only person who can say that they know what Payson Keeler looks like naked to Rigo" says Kelly.
"Thanks Kelly and I definitely don't want you seeing my boyfriend because he's mine, go get your own" says Payson.
"I just might, but who since it needs to be someone who no one else I know has kissed, dated or slept with" says Kelly.
"Kind of limited there" agrees Payson.
"I mean Austin's kissed Kaylie, Carter's kissed Kaylie, slept with Lauren, made out with me, Nicky's kissed you, and kissed me, Max has kissed you, kissed Lauren, kissed Austin, you've kissed Sasha, and so has Summer, Steve Tanner has kissed both Chloe Kmetko and Summer, Damon's slept with Emily and kissed Kaylie, Marty has kissed and probably slept with Mrs Cruz, god this is really complicated, I can honestly say the Denver Elite is so much better" says Kelly.
"You switching sides?" asks Sasha walking in.
"What?" asks Kelly.
"If you think Denver Elite is so much better" says Sasha.
"Oh no I just mean they're much less incestuous about who they date, kiss or sleep with" replies Kelly.
"Ah, well then" says Sasha.
"Yeah your gyms kind of bad for that" says Kelly.
"Hey you're also on the Carter conquest list, and we compare notes on Nicky so you're just as involved" argues Payson.
"Yeah but they were Denver Elite by then, it isn't the same" protests Kelly.
"Yes but they still got most of their notches at the rock, with rock girls so you know you're argument is invalid" replies Payson.
"Ladies, please, can we start work or would you like to throw on some leotards and stand by the water cooler gossiping?" asks Sasha getting exasperated.
"Sorry, yes let's go, we'll finish this argument at lunch" says Kelly.
"Oh you bet" replies Payson as they walk over to the floor.
"Just for the record though I totally agree Nicky Russo is some kisser and he was your first" teases Kelly.
"Shut up Kelly or I swear I will find a way to make you regret it" warns Payson.
"Oh what you going to do?" asks Kelly.
"I'll find something" replies Payson.
"What are you going to do make me an actual soundtrack and put it on loop in my ipod?" asks Kelly.
"No but hey that might work" laughs Payson.
"You wouldn't?" gasps Kelly.
"Well I was just going to settle for following you around the apartment with Rigo on the phone on loud speak while we're what do you call it, oh yeah lovey dovey" warns Payson.
"Okay I'm sorry you win, please don't subject me to that?" begs Kelly her eyes getting wide.
"Thanks, and I wouldn't have done that I leave the revenge to you remember Kelly" smiles Payson.
"Like you did with my bag at Nationals?" asks Kelly.
"Yeah but that was Lauren, I was just there" replies Payson.
"How did you even get it past Sasha he seems pretty rigorous about checking" says Kelly.
"Oh we didn't get it past Sasha" smiles Payson.
"He knew?" she demands.
"Not exactly but he caught us and we made some excuses and then he asked what was in the bag and Emily told him Kelly Parker's head to which he told us to carry on" chuckles Payson.
At that moment Sasha walks over with the roster for the week."
"You are an evil, evil man" says Kelly.
He looks up confused, "why?" he asks.
"You let them sabotage my bag at Nationals" she says.
"Oh yes, that I remember" he admits with a smile.
"I got to say it was pretty brilliant for you, though I can so see how Lauren was the mastermind" concedes Kelly.
"Well it wasn't me that's for sure" says Payson.
"No bad though, even if you did embarrass me I suppose I deserved it after the crap I gave the others, but you god damn it just blew right over your head" sighs Kelly.
"I was just that good" smiles Payson.
"Yeah like Nicky is in a little gymnastics box world" says Kelly.
"It worked didn't it" argues Payson.
"Ladies, again leotards water cooler" yells Sasha getting frustrated.
"Okay we'll stop" assures Payson.
"Please do" he replies handing her the roster before walking back up to his office.
He flops down his chair maybe having Kelly around wasn't such a good thing if she and Payson could resort back to teenagers, he hoped they didn't do it with the other gymnasts.
And why did he always walk in on conversations regarding romance involving Payson he could swear Kelly plans it, except he knows even she's not that good, and that little jab about Nicky being Payson's first kiss, he was still pissed at him for the whole cortisone thing, but now he had something else to add to the list.
No, he needs to stop, then again he isn't annoyed because he had feelings for Payson but because he was the first one she broke the no dating rule with, yes that was it he'd led Payson astray.
Soon enough the gymnasts started to arrive and the coaching began the girls were all buzzing from their win and now they had the confidence and it was time to focus on Nationals.
