Chapter 26
Payson wipes her eyes.
"I'm sorry I'm just kind of confused right now and I'm not totally sure of what to do here" sighs Payson.
"Why don't you tell me what's brought this on?" he suggests.
"Kelly and I were talking and I admitted that I kind of thought Rigo's gift was lame and that yours meant more because you'd put more thought into it and it actually held a meaning, and the memory it was attached to was a good one, a happy one, and well she told me to take a closer look at the relationship I had with Rigo as compared to the one I had with you, and at first I thought it was just like you said, the relationship between a coach and an athlete that never goes away, and then I thought about it and it wasn't just that I trusted you, I felt safe with you and happy and right, you get me and I get you most of the time and how you always know when something's wrong and you try to help and that despite everything I'm not sorry I kissed you and the part I regretted most was the fact you didn't kiss me back and that it became such a public spectacle, but I wouldn't take it back, and Kelly's probably wrong and I get it if you still feel exactly how you felt then but it isn't fair to Rigo or myself to keep pretending I don't love you because I do and for that I will never be sorry" says Payson in a rush.
Sasha looks at her for a few seconds.
"Well I've said it now, I'm going to go" she says starting to get up but Sasha grabs her hand and presses his lips to hers.
She wraps her arms around his neck as his tangle in her hair.
"I do love you Payson and I always have, it just wasn't right until now, you are amazing and beautiful and both Max and Nicky were idiots to not see what was in front of them, we couldn't be honest the first time because I was your coach and you were sixteen, but neither of those is an issue, god from the moment I saw you sat in that bar in Romania I knew, I knew I could never leave you, you mean to much to me" he smiles brushing a strand of hair behind her ear.
"You have no idea how much or how long I've wanted to hear that" she smiles her eyes tearing up again.
"I'm pretty sure I do, because I think I've wanted to say them for just as long" he replies.
"What does this mean now?" she asks.
"That's entirely up to you" he says.
"I need to tell Rigo I won't be the girl who sneaks around on her boyfriend" she replies.
"And I wouldn't want you to be, I don't want anymore secrets or whispers I don't care what other people think, because I want the whole world to know how much I love you" he assures.
"I'll talk to him, and for a couple of weeks I don't think we should be public just so there aren't any rumours it started up while I was still with Rigo, but then I want to tell the whole world your mine" smiles Payson running her hand through his hair.
"I can live with that" he smiles and leaning forward he kisses her.
"Well about time" smiles Kelly as she sticks her head in the door.
They break apart and look at her.
"Go on" sighs Sasha.
"I told you so" smiles Kelly.
"Yes you did" chuckles Sasha.
"Now back to mine or are you staying with Sasha tonight?" asks Kelly with a wiggle of her eyebrows.
"Yours, I still need to talk to Rigo, this will crush him but I can't keep pretending" sighs Payson.
"No you can't" agrees Kelly.
"I'll see you tomorrow" she smiles turning to Sasha.
"Bye" he smiles kissing her once more.
She and Kelly walk out of the gym and Payson can't keep the smile off of her face.
"Best night ever" smiles Payson.
"Well you know with this you can finally answer my question" teases Kelly.
"What question?" asks Payson.
"If he's as strict a coach in the bedroom as he is on the floor" giggles Kelly.
"You're so bad" giggles Payson.
"I know, I mean you know you have to spill all the details when it happens right?" replies Kelly.
"What details?" asks Payson.
"Oh you know, the usual, if the rumors circulating on the internet are true, like size and what not oh and if he has any weird habits, I mean he is a coach who knows?" giggles Kelly wiggling her eyebrows suggestivley.
"Kelly" squeals Payson.
"Hey you owe me this missy after the sexual tension and repression I've had to deal with" retorts Kelly point a finger at Payson.
"You're weird but right and thank you, I wouldn't have done any of this without you Kelly" smiles Payson.
"Anytime it's what friends are for" smiles Kelly.
They drive back to Kelly's apartment and on the way Payson leaves Rigo a message saying she was staying with a very drunken Kelly.
Sasha walks out of the rock and locks up unable to keep the smile off of his face.
"Who knew bloody Kelly Parker" he chuckles.
He finally had what he wanted, he finally had Payson and he couldn't be happier, he was sorry it would hurt her to have to break Rigo's heart but he was happy, so unbelievably happy.
A/N Ta da, and so they see the light, now I couldn't really take this any further than the kiss and the confession because I genuinely don't think Payson or Sasha would want to be sneaking around on anyone, plus Sasha so does not seem like the sharing type.
As for Kelly well she had to have her say, I've been looking for an excuse to use the line "is he as strict a coach in the bedroom as he is on the floor?" from the moment I saw it, and also I would like to say that it was inspired by reigningseven's scene of Kelly guessing about Payson and Sasha's night together from Just Once More (its awesome read it), it cracked me up and just seems so Kelly.
This has maybe one or two more chapters to go but like I said sequel in the works, but I'll have to see where it goes since my muse has a mind of her own and I'm working on a couple other ones as well.
