Chell POV:
My name is Chell and it's been nearly six months now. It's been nearly six months since I was awoken from cryosleep and had to fight for my life against an AI called GLaDOS who hated me, then I put a personality core called Wheatley in control of the facility and he turned against me and I had to disconnect him and suck him into space. Why is it the only people I have ever met were robots who ended up trying to kill me? After I put GLaDOS back in control she let me go. I went to the surface in hopes of finding civilisation but I've been wandering around a forest for the past 6 months and all I've found are birds who I ended up eating because I was starving. Right now I'm just sitting in front of a campfire at night sitting on a burnt companion cube.
Suddenly I hear a voice; "Hello!? Hello!?" It sounds like a man, I get up of the cube and go looking for him, I would call back but the extended cryosleep damaged by vocal cords making me unable to speak. Eventually I find him, he is bald but has a beard, he also is wearing a white shirt with an Aperture Science logo on it and is holding a portal gun, he turns and sees me and runs over to me.
"Hey, are you Chell?" he asks, I nod my head in response, how does he know my name? "My name is Jason Mitchell and I need your help" he says. "After GLaDOS released you from the facility, she found a vault containing hundreds of cryogenically frozen humans, including me, and started to test us. I managed to escape and I took an escape elevator up here so I can find you. You were the only one who was able to shut GLaDOS down, if it's going to happen again, I'm going to need to your help, are you in?" I nod again. "You don't talk much, do you?" he says. How exactly do you tell someone that you're a mute?
Jason escorts me to the elevator disguised as a shed and the door opens "Yet another helping hand from our mystery AI" he says "All throughout my escape, another AI some control of the facility has been guiding me through, it looks like we may have an ally" he gets in the elevator "Come on, get in" he says, I obey. The elevator goes back down into the facility and I get a flash of déjà vu as I look through the glass door and see the facility. I was hoping I would never have to see this place again, but I will admit that a part of me has been wondering what GLaDOS has been up to since I left and now I know what it is, I can't just run away any more, I have to fight!
The elevator stops and Jason steps out, but he looks confused. "Somethings wrong, when I was escaping I ran into two robots who helped me escape, there supposed to be right here. Something must have happened to them" he says "Come on, we have to find them" he says as he runs through the door and I follow and we go out onto the metal platforms "I found a computer earlier which allowed me to access the security cameras, if we can find it again, we can find out where the robots are" he says
Me and Jason continue to make our way to the computer but we trapped in a room full of turrets along the way. We manage to stop the turrets by knocking them over and Jason portals us out of the room. Eventually we make it to the computer room and Jason starts typing. "Right… personality profiles… log entries… status reports… security cameras!" he proclaims. He starts looking through the security footage until he sees two robots which seem to be the ones I saw before GLaDOS took me to the surface and they are inside a gravity tunnel and visually afraid. Jason types some more and we see that the gravity tunnel is leading to an incinerator. "Oh no" Jason says "GLaDOS must have captured them whilst I was looking for you! We have to stop that gravity tunnel before they're incinerated!" he yells as he runs out the room and I follow.
We continue to run down the platform and it's at this point that I think to myself… why did I ever leave? I knew full well that GLaDOS had deleted Caroline and was back to her old ways. I shouldn't have left, I should have stopped her but instead I ran away and now hundreds of people are in the exact same situation I was in six months ago. But I'm done running away now, it's time for me to take a stand and fight for what's left of humanity. I spared her six months ago, but not today. Today GLaDOS dies!
"There they are!" Jason shouts as he points to the robots that are just about to enter the incinerator. "Hey, over here!" he shouts to them, the robots hear him and wave to us in response "Listen, we don't have much time. Can you push yourself out of the gravity tunnel?" he asks but the robots point downwards "Of course, if they pushed themselves out of the tunnel, they would just fall down the pit to their deaths" he says. But then the gravity tunnel deactivates and before they can fall, a panel bounces them onto the platform me and Jason are on. "What happened? Who did that?" Jason asks But then we hear a familiar voice; "That would be me!" Oh no, that voice, it can't be him! It's impossible.
But then we see a personality core on a management rail come up to us.
"Did you miss me?" It's Wheatley
