Chell POV:
He's back, Wheatley's back, how on earth did he get back? The last time I saw him, he lost control of the facility, GLaDOS got it back and he was sucked into space, how the hell did he get back?
"I have no doubt that you are surprised to see me and probably have many questions, starting with how I managed to get back to earth" Wheatley says "Well, I was up there in space, with that other core, but when he shut up long enough for me to think, I remembered that in the event a core is damaged or separated from their facility, they can transfer their consciousness into another body. At first I was hesitant because they told me that if I tried to transfer my consciousness that I would die but I figured that would be a better fate than spending eternity with that space core so I began the transfer. It took a while due to my distance from the Earth but eventually I made it to this new body and that's when I learned that GLaDOS has gotten all those new test subjects. I knew this could be my chance for redemption and so that's where you came in" Wheatley says as he turns to Jason
"Hold on, who are you?" Jason asks
"I'm Wheatley, I-"
"Hold on, Wheatley!?" he interrupts "You were the one who took over the facility and tried to kill Chell!?" he yells
"Okay, okay, hold on, I have more to say" Wheatley said "Not only did I try to kill her, which I regret, but I was also the one guiding you through the facility"
"Wait, you were the one who got me out of the test chambers and got the elevator down?" Jason asks
"Yep, that was me" Wheatley answers
"Why?" Jason asks
"Because, I knew that if you got out, you would get to the surface to find Chell and bring her down here so I could say… that I'm sorry" Wheatley says
"Sorry? Sorry?! You tried to kill her! Do you really think she'll forgive you!?" Jason yells
"Oh come on, you forgive me? Right?" Wheatley asks
A few seconds later, I'm holding Wheatley over an incinerator
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Okay! Okay! Incinerator! Fire! Burning! Very, very bad!" he says "Okay before you drop me, let me explain!" I guess there's no harm in letting him talk "Okay, you have every right to toss my in that incinerator after the things I did. I was bossy and monstrous and I honestly do wish I could take it all back! But that's why I wanted to come back, I want to make amends for I what I did. So, if you want to throw me in, throw me in, I guess I deserve it, but if you let me live then by end of today I will redeem myself" Wheatley says
"Don't to it, Chell" Jason says "He's too dangerous to be kept alive"
"Excuse me, but do I look dangerous to you?" Wheatley asks
"For all we know, you're trying to get GLaDOS's body back" Jason says
"Oh please, I don't want to go anywhere near that body again. God, that bloody itch was unbearable" Wheatley says
"Look, Chell, if you keep him alive then he'll betray us all, you have to drop him!" Jason says. I look at Jason and back at Wheatley. I must be out of my mind… I pull Wheatley away from the incinerator
"Oh, thank you… thank you" he says
"This is a bad idea, Chell" Jason says
"Look, Mister Bad Cop, might I remind you that it if it weren't for me, you would still be in the test chambers, now look, I have a plan" Wheatley says
Wheatley POV:
I made a terrible mistake. I allowed the power of GLaDOS's body to corrupt me. To be honest, I probably deserved that exile in space after all the things I did. I wasn't strong enough to handle the power GLaDOS's body held. I was never meant to be in power, I'm nothing special, I'm just a core. But I have a chance, I have a chance for redemption, I'm going to save those test subjects if it's the last thing I do. I slide along my management rail alongside Chell and Jason, we eventually come across a computer data port, I disconnect myself from my management rail.
"Plug me into that port and I'll take us to GLaDOS" I say. Chell picks me up and plugs me into the port and I start to lift the three of us up, we are taken up to GLaDOS's chamber where we see the AI herself looking as almighty as ever.
"Well look who it is, the three people in the world who I hate the most; my killer, the rebellious test subject and the moron" she says
"I AM NOT A-" Before I can finish, Jason interrupts; "Wheatley! Do us all a favour and shut up!"
"None of you could ever leave me in peace could you? All I ever wanted to do was test, that's all. But you humans called me 'immoral' and 'monstrous' and you could never just let me test in peace" She says. She then turns to Jason. "You ruined everything. I finally has hundreds of humans which I could test for decades to come. But you had to become rebellious and ruin everything I had" she then turns to Chell "And as for you, I gave you a chance to leave and never come back, it was not a choice I made lightly but I did it and it was an opportunity you should have taken, but instead you chose to come back and now you've given me no choice but to kill you" and finally she turns to me "And you. I remember your voice whispering in my head turning all my brilliant ideas into terrible ones, and if that wasn't enough, you had to take over the facility and put me in a potato. Once this is all over, I can guarantee that you will spend the rest of you existence in android hell"
She then turns away from us. "Nevertheless, the time for pleasantries is over, now that you all are here, it is time to end this" she says as four robot claws lower four turrets down in front of us, the only problem is…
"Hey, is this the part where we start shooting things?"
"Uh, if I'm going to shoot at whatever's in front of me I'm going to needs some bullets and possibly some eyes"
"Get on the ground with your hands over your head"
"Ahh, finally I get a taste of action"
They're defective turrets. "What?!" GLaDOS shouts. She turns to a monitor and sees the two robots sabotaging the turret production line and the neurotoxin generator
"Haha! And you said I was programmed to only make terrible decisions" I say
"I knew giving arms to those two was a bad idea. I guess we'll have to do things the hard way" GLaDOS says as she starts launching bombs at Chell and Jason
"RUN!" Jason yells as he pushes Chell away from one of the bombs. The two of them continue to run from the bombs until they eventually run into one of those mashy spike plates, it's about to crush them but I stop it
"I don't think so. What you forget GLaDOS is that as long as I'm plugged into this terminal I'm in just as much control of this room as you are" I say "And thankfully, when I was in control of the facility, I learned how to fight you"
"Oh really? How?" she asks
"This statement is false" I say
"No! Nononononono!" She yells
"GLaDOS!" Jason yells "Is the answer to this question no?"
"Stop it! Stop it!" GLaDOS yells
"Your mission is not to accept this mission, do you accept it?" I ask
"STOP! STOP!" GLaDOS continues to yell, whilst she's distracted, I launch a bomb at her, stunning her
"Wheatley, quick! Whilst she's stunned, get all the test subjects to the surface!" Jason says to me.
"I'm on it" I respond. I begin to redirect all the elevators in the test chambers to the surface. "I've gotten 7 out… 13… 21… 29… 44… 58… 82… 105… 119… 137… 162… 197… 218… 254… They're all out!"
"Yes!" Jason yells
"I've also gotten the robots out, now I just need to-" before I can finish, GLaDOS wakes up
"ENOUGH!" she says "I did not endure being killed by a mute, getting put into a potato and enduring two annoying robots to have all my hard work destroyed by a moron!" She yells
"I am not a moron" I say. Suddenly the whole room begins flashing red and an alarm sounds
"What the hell is that!?" Jason asks
"I've activated the facility's self-destruct" I say
"YOU WHAT?!" GLaDOS yells
"You really are a moron, aren't you?" Jason says
"I have to make sure GLaDOS can never test anyone again, and the only way to do that is to destroy her and her facility" I say
"You may have forgotten the tiny, little detail that we're still inside!" Jason says
"Don't worry, I'm calling an escape lift now" I say. The lift comes up. "Get in there! Quickly!" I say. Jason runs towards the elevator but Chell runs towards me and tries to pull me out of the data port. "No! Stop! If you pull me out then I'll lose control and GLaDOS will stop the self-destruct, you have to go!" I say. Chell hesitates for a moment and then heads towards the elevator. "Wait!" I say, Chell turns to me. "Before you go, I need to know… Do you forgive me?" I ask Chell nods. "Thanks" I say, she then gets in the elevator with Jason and I make it go up. Once the elevator is out, I turn to GLaDOS.
"So, GLaDOS, any last words?" I ask, she responds;
"I really, REALLY hate you"
Jason Mitchell POV:
The escape elevator reaches the surface, me and Chell run out and the ground rumbles beneath us and the escape elevator explodes behind us.
"We did it… WE DID IT!" I say, but I then turn around and see Chell silently weeping over the remains of the elevator, I go over to comfort her. "Wheatley did what he had to do, to redeem himself" I say, I hug her for a moment but then the orange eyed robot taps be on the back and we look around to see we are surrounded by hundreds of humans
"Well, looks like we've got a civilisation to rebuild" I say
