So it's been awhile since I updated this story.

Well, I've decided to make each chapter one-shots with the gems

and their lives in college. And I'd love any suggestions for one-shots!

And thanks to Caylifornias for reviewing!

Chapter Six

Super Fun Laser Tag Time

Several weeks had gone by, and the gems had decided to have some of their Friday night. Something so hardcore that only the most hardcore could handle: Laser Tag. But not just any laser tag. This was Gem Laser Tag. Anything was fair and nothing was against the rules.

Lapis Lazuli stood next to Pearl, with Garnet and Amethyst behind them. They were waiting in line, waiting to get their laser guns and vests, and Lapis was starting to get impatient. They had been waiting for twenty minutes!

"Why won't this line move?" She complained, stomping her foot. Pearl just giggled at her anger. "Oh, you're so adorable when you're mad. But no need to get frustrated, Lapis. We'll be in the front shortly."

"Yeah Blue. No need to get your panties into a twist," Amethyst said. Pearl smirked at the joke, but Lapis felt her face get flush. She couldn't help herself. She was tired of standing in line.

"Ugh, yes, I was getting my 'panties in a twist' but this is ridiculous. I want to play laser tag."

"Won't matter since I'll be getting you out first," Garnet smiled, cracking her knuckles. Lapis sneered back. "Oh yeah? I'll crush you, you punk."

Garnet was about to retort when they finally reached the front of the line. Clapping up and down, Lapis and Pearl got their guns and vests, their matching blue items indicating that they were on the same team. Garnet and Amethyst got red gear. Lapis felt her energy going up. Her and Pearl were going to kick some ass.

Both teams walked into the arena. The large area had many tactical buildings and other obstacles, like bodies of water and vegatation, all for the amusement of laser tag. Lapis could see that many other players were out there, hunting each other like wolves. Lapis smiled and took a sniff of the air. It smelled like…...pain. And she loved it.

"Come on Lapis. Lets go find a hiding spot. Before the Red team finds us."

"Yeah! Lets do this thing!" Lapis cried out, and they were off. Running side by side, the blue team going from spot to spot. After stopping by a few places, Lapis halted, Pearl joining her. "What is it?"

"I hear another team," she whispered. Pearl nodded and Lapis motioned her forward. Crouching, they slowly came to the corner of the wall. Pearl peaked an eye out and looked back at her, raising her hand. Counting down by fingers, when Pearl hit zero, they both jumped out.

"Die mother fuckers! Die!" Lapis scream, lighting up the area in laser beams. She kept firing until Pearl put a hand on her shoulder. "Lapis, you got them."

Lapis looked at the victims. Two scared gems laying on the ground, their vests beeping. Biting a finger nail, she apologetically said. "Sorry guys. Better luck next time."

The two gems got up and walked away, losing this round. Pearl gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Very impressive Lapis. But next time try to keep it in your pants."

"That be easier if I wasn't wearing a skirt." Lapis pointed at her wavy blue skirt. Pearl laughed, until Lapis noticed a red dot on her head. "Pearl, get down!" She cried and tackled her girlfriend to the ground.

"Hey, that nerd just blocked my shot!" A voice called from behind them. "Jasper, stop complaining and get them!"

"Stop yelling Peridot. I've got this."

Lapis took in a breath and pulled Pearl up and began returning fire. "Run run run!"

The couple ran, lasers flying all around them. Lapis grasped Pearl's hand tightly as they jumped behind a wall. Lapis saw Pearl grit her teeth, trying to think of a plan.

"How are we going to get out of this? They have us pinned."

Pearl shrugged. "I don't know."

Lapis looked around. "Well, there has to be something we can do."

Amethyst ducked her head, shots being, well, shot at her. She drew in a breath, inhaling and exhaling slowly. Thinking of a plan, she looked up at Garnet. "OK, so here's the plan. You jump up and light them up with both of your laser guns, distracting them. I'll scale that tower and finish them off."

The gem nodded and took in a deep breath, and after counting to three, stood up and began returning the laser shots. Amethyst got up, summoned her whip, and lashed out the to the spire to her right. Climbing the tower, Amethyst peered below, and saw three gems hiding out, waiting for Garnet to cease her fire. But since Garnet could literally go on for days, she knew she could take a little more time. Lifting the barrel, she lined up the sights and pulled the trigger. Three separate shots and she could hear the enemy vests beeping.

Amethyst smiled as the three defeated gems walked away, and jumped off the tower, landing right next to Garnet. "Did you see that sick sharp-shooting?"

"It was OK."

"OK? I was awesome!" She threw up her arms in excitement. Garnet shrugged at her."I could have done it better."

"Whatever Garnet. Lets just go find our next victims." And Amethyst walked off, not letting Garnet say anything else. The two searched for a few minutes before Amethyst spotted two gems hiding out near a small pond of water and an array of walls. The larger one was firing over the wall. She was orange and had unruly hair like her own. Next to her was a smaller green gem. Amethyst could see her gem on her head.

"Take 'em down G'." Amethyst pointed at them, signaling for her to attack. Garnet smiled and raised her weapons. Amethyst thought Garnet was going to go all out, but she just walked up behind them and ended their game. Vests beeping, the orange one bellowed in anger. "Peridot! You were supposed to cover my back."

"Well, excuse me! It's not my fault your back is so damn big!" Peridot yelled back. Jasper looked angry, but then calmed herself. "You know what? It's OK. Come on hot stuff, I want to go get some snacks. We can make up later."

"You mean?"

"Oh I mean…." Jasper stopped, waving her eyebrows. Amethyst saw Peridot blush, then they grasped hands and went to find their way out of the arena. Garnet gave her a strange look, a look that said, 'what the fuck?'. But Amethyst had no time to reply as she saw two gems stand up a few yards away.

Pearl and Lapis.

Amethyst shouted and raised her laser gun, and prepared to end the game.

When Pearl heard Jasper stop, she tugged at Lapis. "Hey, I think she stopped. We need to counter attack before they get the drop on us."

"I love it when you take command. It's so hot," Lapis complimented, hefting her laser gun up. Pearl began counting down, mouthing each word. When she finally hit zero, Pearl jolted up, Lapis following suit. When Pearl looked where their opponents had been, shock shot through her when she saw Garnet and Amethyst standing where Jasper and Peridot had been. Amethyst shouted something inaudible and lifted her gun to fire. Pearl and Lapis both simultaneously shot, before the purple gem could shoot first. And faster than Pearl could comprehend, Garnet was in front of the two shots with her gauntlets on, and saved Amethyst from getting out.

Pearl let out a yelp and summoned her spear, deciding to bring things to the offensive. Throwing it at Garnet, Pearl watched as she moved aside, and began firing a barrage of laser fire at her. Summoning another spear, Pearl swiped at the lasers, blocking them into nothing. Pearl shot back, hoping to get her friend to hide or take a few steps back. Anything. But Garnet held strong and didn't even flinch. Oh I am so out. Pearl thought as Garnet moved right up to Pearl and simply fired into her vest.

Feeling the agony of defeat, Pearl sat down in shame. But then she heard the flapping of wings. Looking up, she saw Lapis flying overhead, firing at Amethyst and moving so swiftly that Pearl almost became jealous. Almost.

Going in for a dive bomb, Lapis shot down and quickly lasered Amethyst's vest. The girl sighing, Amethyst walked over to Pearl and sat down next to her, watching too as the last two of their friends began to finish the game.

Lapis floated in the air, beating her water wings back and forth. Focusing on Garnet, she called down. "I'm only giving you one chance to concede. One!"

"Ha! Never. This will be an easy win." And Garnet jumped, trying to get to her height. But instead of veering left or right, Lapis went down and got underneath of the taller, bigger gem. Garnet, however, wasn't going to just do nothing, and chucked her two guns to allow herself to fire her gauntlets. Lapis cursed rather loudly and threw her wings in front of her body, preparing for the blow. The fists hit, and Lapis was propelled downwards, until she slammed into the hard ground. Groaning, she got up and saw Garnet land, grab her laser guns, and aim them at her. Cursing again, Lapis launched the water from the pond next to where she had landed and spiraled it at her friend. Garnet rolled to the Lapis's left, but Lapis didn't relent with the water, and launched more streams of it.

Garnet did a good job of avoiding them, until Lapis snuck a tentacle of water around her foot and flipped her completely upside down. Taking advantage of Garnet's position, Lapis finally got her out.

"That's game, bitch!" Lapis cheered, jumping up and down. Pearl and Amethyst walked over, Amethyst sighing loudly while Pearl gave Lapis a kiss.

"So, what now?" Pearl asked to anyone in general. Garnet stood up and answered. "Lets play again."
