Fixing Mistakes

Chapter 13 - Facing The Truth

"You are from the future?"

"Yes." Caroline replied, her hands in her lap as she faced Klaus with honesty in her gaze, "I am from the year 2014."

Klaus blinked in shock. Caroline was from five hundred years in the future? He narrowed his eyes with suspicion, at least she claimed to be. How could he know if what she said to him was the truth? She had obviously been lying to him ever since they met as she claimed her family had been killed by bandits. Tilting his head to the side he asked, "I take it your family were not killed by bandits?"

Caroline winced, "No, they were not." She hated having to tell that lie with her whole heart, she had always wished she could tell Klaus the truth and if she had been in the past for much longer she would have, "My mom is still alive but my dad," she swallowed, the pain of his choice to die still hurt her, "he died." She shook her head as she blinked tears away, "Technically neither of them have even been born yet and they won't be for centuries."

Klaus furrowed his brow. What Caroline said sounded like the truth but then, so had her story about her parents death in the past. How could he be sure that anything she said was the truth? The convenient fact about being from the supposed future was that you could say anything you wanted and there was no way to disprove what you said as the future had not happened yet. With this in mind he replied, "How do I know that you are not lying to me again?"

"I'm not." Caroline stated, sighing with disappointment. She should have known that it wouldn't be as easy as just saying that she was from the future and expecting Klaus to take her word for it.

"That's easy for you to say, sweetheart, but it doesn't make it true." Klaus stepped over the body on the floor and went to pour himself a drink, "How do I know that you are not just making up all of this time travel nonsense to try and justify your leaving me?"

"I didn't leave you on purpose!" Caroline cried out in denial jumping up out of her seat, frustration ran through her veins at Klaus's stubborn refusal to believe her.

Klaus slammed his drink down on the table, shattering the fragile glass into little pieces and spilling the liquid onto his hand, "Do not lie to me!" He turned his pain filled gaze to Caroline, allowing every bit of grief, anger, despair and hate to pour out of him, "You left me, Caroline! You promised me forever and just before that could have been made a reality you left." He placed his hands on the back of the chair and squeezed the wood beneath his hand, cracks appearing beneath his fingers as his strength crushed the wood, "Time portal or not, you disappeared and took my little brother with you." He shook his head, "I lost two people I loved that night. I was lost in a haze of pain and guilt and despair." He glared at her, "For centuries!"

"Don't you think I know that!" Caroline yelled back, tears in the back of her voice, "I know what you must have gone through."

"YOU KNOW NOTHING!" Klaus roared, one second he was at the table and the next he had his hand around Caroline's throat and had pushed her against the wall. His eyes seared into hers, deep dark despair swirling in their depths. Bringing his other hand up to her face he placed his fingers against her temple and whispered brokenly, his voice full of raw emotion, "You know nothing."

Caroline's eyes fell shut as she was transported back to the night she and Henrik left...

Klaus paced in the caves as he waited for his wife and brother to arrive. His worry for them, which had been steadily building throughout the afternoon, was now becoming unbearable with their continued absence. In all honesty, he was terrified which he knew he shouldn't be as the moon wasn't near being full yet but, he swore he heard the familiar howls of the wolves echo within the caves.

Elijah walked up to Klaus, his forehead creased with concern, "Have Caroline and Henrik arrived back yet?"

"No." Klaus's reply was short and laced with worry. Where could they be?

Elijah could hear the worry in Klaus's voice. His heart ached at the repeat of the full moon from months ago. He did not feel that concerned as the moon was not full yet and they would not be in danger. Putting his hand on his brother's shoulder he squeezed in reassurance, "I am sure they will get here in time, Niklaus."

"What if it is already too late?" Klaus whispered, voicing his concern.

"Whatever do you mean?" Elijah asked, worry in his tone. How could it be too late? They still had time before the moon became full.

Klaus hesitated for a moment before answering, "I've heard howls."

"Howls? What kind of howls?" Elijah replied.

"Wolves, Elijah." Klaus let his fear show in his eyes as he voiced the reason for his concern, "I've heard the tell tale howl of the wolves."

"That is not possible." Elijah's own gaze became concerned, "There are no wolves here except," he began to feel the same fear as Klaus, "except those in the next village."

As Elijah voiced that which had been plaguing Klaus ever since he had first heard the howls, he felt the rising panic rush through him. Not able to wait any longer he began speeding toward the entrance to the caves.

Elijah grabbed Klaus's arm, halting his movement, "Where are you going?"

"To find them!" Klaus was overcome with terror, he couldn't see Caroline or Henrik be hurt or killed by the wolves. He couldn't lose either of them, it would kill him.

Elijah knew that his brother wouldn't be dissuaded from going out there to look for his wife and their brother so he did the only thing he could do, "I will come with you, brother."

Relief filled Klaus's gaze, "Thank you, Elijah." He smiled at Elijah with gratitude, he was so thankful to have his big brother back on his side.

"I am coming too." Rebekah said, her voice steady with resolve. She was not going to stay safe in this cave while her little brother and best friend were possibly in danger.

Before Klaus could protest two other voices spoke.

"I will also help you find her, Niklaus." Finn offered his help. Caroline had become quite dear to him since he found her in the woods and he hoped that no harm had come to her and his brother.

"I, too." Kol offered as well. Caroline was his partner in crime, she was as full of fun and life as he was. She loved to play pranks on his family just as he did as they both dearly loved to laugh. He would not see anything happen to her or Henrik.

Klaus was overwhelmingly touched by all of his siblings offers to help. He knew it wasn't just because of Henrik, his wife was loved by each and every one of his brothers and sister, just as much as Henrik was, they were a family. This knowledge warmed his heart. Unable to voice his gratitude for the lump in his throat he could only smile at each of his siblings.

Finn squeezed Klaus's shoulder, "Come, Niklaus. Let us find the rest of our family before any harm should befall them."

Klaus nodded in agreement with Finn as he followed his siblings out of the cave. He just hoped that they weren't too late.

Images of Klaus, Rebekah, Kol, Elijah and Finn frantically searching through the forest passed behind Caroline's closed lids. Their increasing desperation broke her heart, a tear leaked out of her eye as she knew what they would find.

Then.

The siblings finally reached the part of the woods where Caroline and Henrik were attacked by the wolves, they were so near to where she and Henrik were sucked into the time portal.

Klaus's heart was heavy with despair at not finding a single trace of Caroline and Henrik anywhere. Nor could he see a single sign of a wolf being there. Had he imagined the howls? Or were they a figment of his imagination as worry from what happened the full moon when Caroline was attacked and almost killed influencing him. He did not know but he prayed that he found a sign of them soon or else he might just go crazy with not knowing where his Caroline and his baby brother were.

Just as Klaus noticed what he was sure were the paw prints of several wolves on the ground he heard an anguished scream from his sister.

"Noo!" Rebekah cried as she spotted blood splatters on the ground.

Elijah, Kol, Finn and Klaus immediately rushed to Rebekah's side and all stumbled at what lay before them. A pool of blood on the ground beneath them, broken leaves with hints of blood on them, a sure sign that something had happened, someone was injured and that someone had run.

Following the trail of broken and bloodied leaves the Mikaelson's tracked the signs of struggle until they arrived at something that stopped them all dead and caused a wave of pain and grief to assault them all.

Henrik's shoes. Smeared with traces of blood.

Caroline's wedding ring. Also stained with blood.

Klaus fell to his knees as his legs failed to support him. He couldn't tear his eyes away from the ring that he had saved up for, the ring that only a week ago had signified that Caroline had promised her life to him, the ring she had vowed to never remove, the ring that made her his wife lay discarded in the grass as if it was nothing, as if it had never adorned the finger of his love, as if it had never even had an owner. Which now it didn't because the owner was dead. With that thought Klaus threw his head back and let out a heartbroken scream of his wife's name, "CAROLINE!" Pain exploded within him, his heart ripping apart and shattering inside his chest. Doubling over he dug his hands into the grass and mud of the ground, sobs overtaking his entire body, cries escaping his throat as he mourned from deep within his soul, what was left of it anyway as Caroline had the other half.

Oh God, his soul mate was dead.

Tears escaped Caroline's eyes as she sobbed, the pure anguish Klaus felt ripping through her body and tearing her heart in half as it stole her breath from her chest. Shaking her head back and forth she tried to separate from Klaus, the pain too much for her, what she had witnessed broke her heart in two, "No...oh God...Klaus...please..." She whimpered in pain.

"No!" Klaus ordered, his fingers clinging onto Caroline's face harder as he forced her to feel what he felt, to see what he saw, to truly know what hell he had been through, "You don't get to look away from this. You will see everything. You will feel all the pain I went through."

Caroline sobbed harder as she was pulled back into Klaus's memories...

Klaus didn't know how long he had lain on the ground as his heart tore itself apart. All he knew was that the sky was now dark and the moon was shining down on him, illuminating the patch of forest he was in and shining on the ring like a beacon. Lifting his head he could see Elijah and Rebekah standing a few feet away from him, his brother's arm wrapped around his sister in comfort as she sobbed. His heart ached at the sight of her tears but his own body was so broken with grief that he could not even raise himself from the ground. No comfort on Earth besides Caroline's soft embrace could ever comfort him again. He was as dead as she was, here only in body as his soul had left him the moment he knew she was gone. How could he continue on now that his light had left? How would he survive in the darkness that was now his existence? His happiness had been ripped from him. Caroline had broken her promise. She left him. Sobs tore through him again, his agony so severe that he could not move, could not think, couldn't even breath. She was gone.

The moonlight shone upon Caroline's ring, making the lapis lazuli sparkle bright for just an instant. Just for one moment the blue stone appeared to light up and remind Klaus of Caroline's eyes. Stretching out his hand he gently grabbed the ring and brought it back to himself. He whimpered at the sight of the blood, a sign of the horror she must have gone through. Tearing off a piece of his sleeve he frantically scrubbed all the blood off the only thing he had left of Caroline's.

Suddenly a gentle hand rubbed soothingly over Klaus's back, "Do not look upon this anymore, my son."

Klaus tilted his head up to look at the face of his mother, her lovely features were blotchy, red and tear stained with evidence of her own grief. His lip trembled, eyes overflowing with more tears, "Mother, they are gone!" He threw his arms around Esther's waist and clutched her to him as he sobbed his sorrow, "They are both gone."

"Ssh..." Esther made soothing sounds as she ran her fingers through Klaus's hair in an attempt to comfort him, even though her own heart was breaking apart. She had lost another child, not just one but two of them, Caroline was a child to her just as much as any of her own were. What tore her heart apart even more was that she was only a few days away from the spell that would have protected all of her children from any harm. A tear slipped down her cheek, she had failed her children.

Klaus could not stop his tears, they were endless just as his heart was now empty. It no longer beat now that he would never hold Caroline in his arms again, would never kiss her, never see her smile or laugh or whisper that she loved him. He would never be privileged with the honour of seeing her belly full with his child, would never see her become the wonderful mother he knew she would be. He would never see her again except when he left this life and would be reunited with her in the afterlife. If possible he cracked even more, his cries growing in anguish, sounding just like a wounded animal.

Strong arms picked Klaus off the floor, "Hush, little brother." Elijah brushed a kiss across his forehead, "I will take you home."

"I have no home." Klaus stated before closing his eyes and tuning out the world.

Klaus stayed in his catatonic state for the next two days. He refused to leave his childhood bed, he didn't eat anything that his mother or Rebekah placed in front of him, he just laid there as one by one his siblings tried to get him to show some life. All he did was stare at Caroline's ring, which he had placed on his little finger to keep a part of her close, and dreamt of the life he no longer had, full of himself and Caroline with their children surrounding them.

Esther suddenly burst into the room, "Get up, Niklaus!" She placed clean clothes in front of Klaus's bedridden form, "You are going to be having dinner with our family."

"No, I am not!" Klaus replied, burying his head further under his covers to try and block out his mother's voice.

"Yes, you are!" Esther shot back, there would be no way that Klaus would be missing this particular dinner, "I insist." She grabbed a hold of the blanket and ripped it off Niklaus, "Even if I have to drag you there myself you will be eating with us."

Klaus glared at his mother, "I am not hungry!" Feeling his grief rise up; it was always there just simmering below the surface, he yelled in anger, "I lost my wife! I shall never be hungry again."

"And I lost my son!" Esther screamed back, tears clouding her vision as she thought about her poor boy.

Klaus bowed his head in shame, he almost forgot that he was not the only one suffering, his siblings lost a brother and his mother lost another child. Feeling chastened he looked apologetically at his mother, "I am sorry."

"Oh, Niklaus." Esther sat in the bed and pulled Klaus into her arms, "I am sorry for your loss, our shared loss." She pulled back just enough to look in his eyes, "This dinner is for Henrik and Caroline. To honour them and share our memories of them."

Klaus closed his eyes in pain, "I have but a few months worth of memories of my Caroline."

"The happiness she brought you is worth a lifetime in itself." Esther smiled at her middle child, her heart ached at his devastation but it mattered not, Klaus would be at that dinner.

For the first time in days Klaus smiled. It was small and bittersweet but it was there. He looked once again at Caroline's ring, it sparkled just like it had on the forest floor. He took that as a sign that Caroline wanted him to go, "Okay, mother." He agreed to go to Esther's dinner, "For Caroline and Henrik, I will go."

Esther's answering smile was bright and relieved, "Thank you, Niklaus." She stroked Klaus's cheek with her thumb before leaving a kiss on the top of his head, "Meet us at the table when you are ready."

Klaus gasped as he awoke on the floor a sharp stinging pain in his chest, he looked down and there was a bloodied hole in his shirt. What happened? The last thing he remembered was sharing a toast with his family to Caroline and Henrik, they each drank some wine and then. He frowned as he remembered, his mother stabbed him in the chest with Mikael's sword. Looking to the side he saw his sister lying on the floor with a bloodied wound in her own chest. Noo! He crawled toward his sister, "Rebekah!" Just as he reached her someone entered the room.

Esther led a woman into the room, leading her toward her children she knelt on the ground and held out her wrist to Rebekah.

"What are you doing?" Klaus asked afraid, his mother had stabbed them, what else was she planning to do?

"Saving her life." Esther responded before slicing open the woman's wrist and holding it over Rebekah's lips.

"No!" Klaus tried to push Esther away from his sister.

"Stop, Niklaus!" Esther forcefully pushed Klaus away.

Rebekah's eyes opened as she awakened, her chest aching where the wound was. Before she had time to think a bleeding wrist was pushed against her lips. She tried to resist but a drop of blood made its way past her lips, agony exploded in her mouth as she felt new teeth growing and a strange feeling beneath her eyes.

"Drink, Rebekah, it will fix you." Esther soothed, her hand stroking Rebekah's hair away from her face.

Rebekah bit down on the offered wrist, her new teeth sinking into the flesh like butter, the rich elixir of blood sliding down her throat, her eyes closed in euphoria at the new sensation of life flowing through her veins. She suddenly felt different, stronger than she was before. It was amazing!

Esther removed the woman's arm from Rebekah, "That is enough, Rebekah." She offered the wrist to Klaus.

"No!" Klaus moved backwards afraid, what had his mother done to them? Rebekah's face had turned into that of a monster, and she had drunk blood! What had his mother done?

"You must drink!" Esther stressed, the ritual must be completed! Grabbing the woman's arm roughly she forced it into Klaus's face, her other hand holding his head as she forced him to swallow the blood.

Klaus resisted at first, that is until he tasted it and a sharp pain ripped through his gums, new teeth growing in his mouth. Moaning he clutched the woman closer and sank his teeth into her wrist. It was indescribable the feeling he had as the warm liquid seeped into his veins and awakened his senses. He felt alive!

Esther watched Klaus feed with a smile on her face. All of her children were now stronger, faster and harder to kill. She would never have to go through the pain of losing another child again. It was just a shame it came too late to save Henrik and Caroline.

Klaus was walking through the village testing out his new senses. His vision was clearer - he could see everything crystal clear even though it was night. He could smell everything - the sweet sap dripping from the trees, the earthy scent of the ground and the meat of someone cooking. He could hear even the smallest sound - the scurrying of the woodland creatures, the hooves of nearby horses, and the arguing voices of Esther and Mikael. He tilted his head to listen closely.

"How dare you!" - Esther's voice cried.

"It is my right as your husband to take anything that you have." - Mikael's voice bellowed back.

The vicious tone of Mikael's voice had Klaus moving before he even thought about it. His new speed had him reaching them in seconds. He stood protectively in front of his mother, "Get away from her!"

"The abomination!" Mikael sneered, his rage causing him to ball his hands into fists. How dare Esther keep this from him? Trying to hide what she'd done from him! How dare she?

Mikael's insult caused an uncontrollable rage to fill Klaus, a deep well of anger he never knew himself capable of. Unknown to him the moon was shining bright in the sky, not full but still shining.

"Do you think my deceitful wife's spell will protect you from me?" Mikael laughed incredulously before smirking, his eyes full of cruelness, "You got off lightly, boy! Pray to the lord in thanks that those wolves tore apart that bitch of a wife of yours before she could lie to you."

A switch went off in Klaus's head. His anger turned white hot, his eyes turned deadly and his fangs lengthened. A growl escaped him, "Don't you dare talk about her!"

Mikael just smirked wider.

"I HATE YOU!" Klaus screamed, then sped over to Mikael and thrust his hand in his chest, "DIE!" He pulled his hand back holding Mikael's heart.

"NO!" Esther screamed as she watched Mikael drop to the ground, a satisfied smile on his face.

Klaus dropped the heart in his hand as if he'd been burnt. He looked at the blood covering his hands. What had he done?

Esther's hand went to her mouth in horror as she gazed at Mikael's corpse, "He drank the elixir."

Klaus's shocked gaze went to Esther, "Wha...aaargh!" He screamed as his arm suddenly pulled out of its joint, he looked at the other in terror as it did the same. His leg twisted at a strange angle, "Aaargh!..." He dropped to his knees as his other leg disjointed. He panted at the agony sweeping through his body, he felt like every bone in his body was breaking. Looking helplessly at his mother he screamed, "Help me!" He slammed his hands on the ground as another wave of pain coursed through him, growling he looked up, the veins in his face were prominent, his eyes were golden and he now had two sets of teeth in his mouth, "What is happening to me?"

"I am so sorry." Esther backed away from Klaus sobbing. He was the product of an affair she had with one of the wolves in the next village. They only became wolves after causing the death of another person. Klaus had just killed Mikael, albeit temporarily, and now his wolf side had been activated. He was a Hybrid - half wolf, half vampire.

Esther turned and ran just as Klaus released an almighty howl. The sound sent shivers down Esther's spine. What had she done? She had made Klaus something entirely different from his siblings. Whereas what they were went against nature in the first place, Klaus was more than that, he was supposed to be a werewolf and she made him a vampire, with his first kill he activated his wolf gene and became something else. How much more dangerous would he be now that he had two monsters within him? She didn't know and it scared her.

Mikael had awoken on the ground and immediately found the nearest human to feed on, becoming another Original vampire. The first thing he saw was Klaus in his new state, a wolf like those in the village, nothing more than an abominable beast. His wife's betrayal plain to see, he always knew that worthless child could not be from his loins.

Mikael cornered Esther outside of their home, "You whore!" He grabbed her hair and dragged her toward him, "You laid with a beast and you had me believe that pathetic excuse for a man was my son."

Esther cried out as Mikael tore out her hair from his rough grip, "I was not sure until now when Niklaus turned into a wolf."

Mikael growled with anger, his hate for Esther and her bastard offspring making him want to kill her. He wouldn't just yet as he needed her to do something for him. Letting go of her hair he pushed her against the wall, "You will do something for me."

Esther only glared back.

Mikael sneered at Esther's silence, "As you betrayed me and lied to me for near on twenty years about that boy." He reached out hooking his fingers around a lock of her hair and yanking hard, smirking with satisfaction as she yelped, "Bind him."

"What?" Esther breathed shocked.

"You heard me." Mikael glared into Esther's eyes as he hissed, "Bind him! Bind his werewolf side so that he is never whole again. Lock away that part of him which is a beast. I cannot stomach the thought of allowing that abomination to roam free." Mikael grabbed Esther's arms and squeezed them painfully, "Cage him like the animal he is."

Esther shook her head to deny Mikael. How could she deny who Klaus was? He was born a werewolf and he should remain one.

Rage overtaking Mikael he slapped Esther around the face, "That is the last time you will defy me, woman!" He sank his fangs into Esther's neck draining her. He moaned as the sweet taste brought him life, filling his veins with the necessary strength to defeat Klaus. He dropped Esther's dead body to the ground and grinned. Time to destroy the abomination he had been forced to call son.

A day later Mikael convinced Ayana to perform the curse on Klaus, locking away his werewolf side with the only way to break it by finding the Petrova doppelganger. She wasn't hard to convince after Mikael told her that Klaus was the one to kill Esther.

Elijah helped his father tie Klaus to the wooden post so that the ritual could be performed. He tried to change his father's mind but he wouldn't hear of it, and as Elijah was still a little scared of Mikael he went along with it. His heart broke at Klaus's pleas of help.

Klaus's last scream as his werewolf side was taken from him was of Caroline's name.

"Please don't show me the Five. Please!" Caroline pleaded with Klaus, as tears leaked uncontrollably out of her closed lids. After witnessing Klaus finding her ring and his devastating grief, Esther turning him into a vampire, him killing Mikael and turning into a Hybrid, plus Ayana cursing him, she didn't think her heart could survive seeing what horrible things a version of her said to him while he was under the Hunter's curse.

Klaus released Caroline from his memories.

Caroline looked at Klaus unsure, tears still clinging to her lashes as they continued to roll down her cheeks.

"How do you know about the Five?" Klaus asked, his eyes boring into Caroline's as he awaited her answer.

"I'm from the future, Klaus." Caroline repeated, her eyes begging Klaus to believe her, "I know how long you suffered."

"How long?" Klaus asked brokenly, his heart pounding in anticipation of her response, hoping and yet terrified of her answer.

Caroline swallowed before whispering, "Over fifty years."

Klaus released a shaky breath. Caroline really was from the future.

Caroline hesitantly placed her hand on Klaus's cheek, softly stroking his skin as her eyes overflowed with pain, "I am so sorry for what you went through." She gazed into his eyes hoping that her sincerity shone through, "Had I known I would not be there permanently I would have told you everything sooner." Her other hand came up to cup his other cheek, "I never wanted to hurt you."

Klaus swallowed at the feel of Caroline's hands on his skin. He had not felt her touch in almost six hundred years. With shaking fingers he reached out and curled his hands in her hair as he loved to do when they were human.

Caroline closed her eyes and leant into Klaus's hand. She whimpered as she felt his fingers caress her neck, his touch tantalizing her, her body craving him. Opening her eyes she almost gasped at the pure lust in his eyes, "Klaus..."

Not willing to wait another minute until he could taste her lips again, Klaus pushed against Caroline's neck and covered her lips with his. He growled as he tasted her for the first time in centuries, her vanilla taste even more potent with his vampire senses. He wrapped his other arm around her waist and pulled her flush against him as he devoured her mouth swallowing her every moan.

Caroline moaned helplessly against Klaus's assault of her mouth, her fingers clinging to his cheeks as she surrendered to his talented mouth. She pushed herself as close to him as she could get, so close that she could feel every inch of his body against her, his muscled arms encasing her and pulling her in even more.

Gods, have I missed you, Klaus thought desperately, almost whimpering at the feel of Caroline's delectable body under his. As his hands roamed along her back he moved his kisses away from her mouth, dragging his lips across her cheeks and down her neck until he reached her pulse. Unable to resist the lure of her blood, he at first bit down with his human teeth before sucking her tender flesh into his mouth, her answering gasp of pleasure spurred him on to slide his fangs in and drink her in. She tasted like heaven.

Caroline's knees felt weak as Klaus tasted her blood, the pull of her blood went straight to her core and soon she was dripping with evidence of her arousal. Needing to release some of the ache she curled her leg around his waist and ground herself against his hardness. Her hand slid down his cheek to reach the top of his shirt, with quick fingers she released the buttons and pushed it open, using her fingernails she harshly ran her nails down his chest.

Klaus ripped his mouth away from Caroline's throat and hissed, the marks she'd left on his chest were bleeding, small beads making there way down his chest. He couldn't help but gape at Caroline, her actions shocking him as he was used to the soft and gentle way they used to make love, but as he looked into her eyes he could see the predator underneath, the hint of bloodlust that made his heart pick up in beat.

Caroline never broke eye contact with Klaus as she ran her finger along the wound she had created and when it was covered with blood she bought the digit to her mouth and closed her eyes in ecstasy as she tasted his delicious blood. Wanting more she bent her head to his chest and licked up the rest, her fingers clutching his hips as the marks she made healed before her eyes. Caroline began nipping at Klaus's stomach, loving the way the muscles jumped in response.

As much as Klaus would love to feel Caroline's mouth around his cock again there was something else he wanted first, he needed to be inside her once again and cover her in his essence, saturate her in his scent as he claimed her and made her his in every way. He reached for the back of her dress, both hands grabbing the fabric and tore it in half. He groaned as his eyes roamed over her creamy flesh, his fingers itched to touch and he did just that, the pads of his fingers running along her smooth skin making her shiver.

Caroline moaned against Klaus's stomach as his fingers teased along her back. Sitting up she kept her gaze locked on his as she pushed the torn dress off her shoulders, down her arms and over her legs to pool at her feet, revealing herself to Klaus's hungry eyes.

Klaus took in every inch of Caroline's gorgeous body. From the way her blonde hair fell just below her shoulders, her shapely breasts which if he remember correctly fit perfectly in the palm of his hands, down to her flat stomach, perfectly curved hips and inviting pussy, to her long legs which fit perfectly around his hips. Or on his shoulders. Or stretched taut as he bent her over the nearest available surface. He groaned as his cock twitched at the thought.

Caroline smirked at Klaus's bodily reaction to perusing her body. Who wouldn't be filled with womanly pride as their body alone excited the man they loved? Not wanting to wait any longer Caroline reached for Klaus's pants and tore them away from his body. At his raised eyebrow she just shrugged, "I wanted to see you, Klaus." She ran her fingers along his thigh to wrap around his erection, her thumb brushing across the head, "All of you."

Klaus groaned as Caroline played with his cock, her vampire strength making her touch firmer than when they were human. He thrust his hand into her hair and yanked her to his lips, his tongue entering her mouth and playing with hers. He reached between her thighs to her pussy and growled as he felt the wetness on her lips. He slipped at first one then two fingers into her womanhood while his thumb circled her clit, swallowing her moans as he stroked her to orgasm.

Caroline bit Klaus's lip as she came, tightening his inner muscles against Klaus's fingers as he drew her orgasm out until she was a quivering mess against him. Pulling away from his lips she gasped for breath, her hands massaging his thighs as her pussy clenched with need, even though she had just come she still wanted nothing more than to be joined with him.

Klaus grabbed Caroline by the hips and slammed her against the bookcase, wrapping her thighs around him he positioned himself at her entrance and slammed in, groaning as he felt her warm sheath envelope him. It felt like coming home.

Caroline gasped in sweet agony, the pleasurable pain making her pussy throb with need. As Klaus rolled his hips she threw her head back, her hands clinging to his shoulders as his thrusts rocked her body. Cries escaped her mouth as his dick hit her spot on every pass, books falling from the shelf as they banged against it.

Klaus buried his face in Caroline's neck, his hands on each cheek of her ass as he pulled her into him, his hips slamming against hers as he made her scream in his ear. Wanting her to fall apart completely he abruptly pulled out and pushed her over the table, her pert ass on show and her legs pulled taut. Placing his hands on her spine he slammed back in, frantically pounding her pussy harder and harder as her screams grew louder and louder.

Caroline's hands lay flat against the table as she let put a litany of moans and cries as the sound of Klaus balls slapping against her thighs echoed around the room. She pushed back on every thrust, Klaus going so deep inside her that she could feel every inch of him.

Klaus grabbed Caroline's hair and pulled her toward his lips, kissing her ravishingly as he slid his other hand from her spine up to her breast and pinched the nipple between his fingers as he changed angle inside her, constantly stroking her spot everytime his cock moved in and out.

Caroline ripped her mouth away from Klaus's as she groaned. She could feel her impending orgasm so she reached behind her and curled her hands into Klaus's hair, pulling tight as she let out a final cry of, "Klaus!" And exploded around his cock, her inner walls clenching around him as she trembled with the force of her release. Her body fell limp to the table as she became unable to hold up her own weight.

Klaus clenched his eyes shut as Caroline came around him, the spasming of her walls and clenching of her muscles ripping the orgasm from him. Digging his fingers into the tender skin of her breast, he rest his forehead against her back as he groaned, his hips pumping into hers frantically as his cum flooded her insides and she milked him of every drop until he collapsed against her back.

The only sounds in the room was of their harsh breathing as Caroline and Klaus lay boneless against each other, he still buried deeply within her and neither willing to lose the connection of their bodies. They were rebuilding not just their physical connection but their emotional one as well.

Caroline reached behind her and lovingly ran her hands through Klaus's hair as she basked in the afterglow of their; not quite lovemaking but not fucking either somewhere inbetween the two. Whatever it was she was loving the delicious ache that ran through her core, a sign that she had been well and truly loved in the most animalistic of ways. Niklaus had always been soft, loving and gentle as he was afraid of hurting her. Klaus had no such reservations, he had been rough and harsh, marking her as his as he played her expertly. It was the best sex of her life. So far.

Klaus brushed kisses across Caroline's shoulder blades as he enjoyed feeling the dying spasms of her orgasm around his cock. That was some of the most intense sex he'd ever had with Caroline. She was so loud and responsive and passionate that he couldn't help but lose himself in her, slamming inside her so hard that he was sure he must be imprinted there, his scent, his seed, just all of him. He ran his nose along across her back, smirking as she shivered underneath him, the vibrations travelling along his shaft and causing it to harden again.

Caroline gasped as she felt Klaus's length grow within her, her pussy sparking back to life at the feel of him within her. Looking over her shoulder she winked, "Ready for round two?"

"Sweetheart," Klaus pulled his hips back and slammed back in, grinning as Caroline's eyes fluttered with pleasure, "I am nowhere near done with you."

Caroline squealed as she was suddenly turned around and lifted into Klaus's arms, hers immediately going around his neck. She giggled as he whooshed her to his room and threw her onto the bed before covering her body with his and starting on round two.

They still had issues to discuss and things were nowhere near fixed with them but for now, they began to heal each another by showing their love through each kiss, touch and moan of one anothers name.

Tomorrow they could talk more, today they said more without words.
